Manager was fantastic - very helpful and accommodating. We requested privacy and she delivered. Unfortunately washrooms and water were shut off for the season to prevent pipes freezing. Conveniently located between Ladysmith and Nanaimo. We camped at Rondalyn Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

There are lots of kids in this park. Families seem to come in groups so it is very noisy and crowded. No grass; 30 amps. Tight turning radius for 45 footer. Close to Duke PT ferry is a plus. We camped at Rondalyn Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Nice campground, packed with kids and families. Sites are very close together in most areas. Ours was near the end by a maintenance yard, but you didn't notice it much because they had a cedar hedge alongside of the camp spot. They screwed up our reservation and ended up putting us in a much better site with full service and only charged us for the smaller, less serviced site that we had booked. They are very friendly, which goes a long way in my mind! Nice pool and hot tub. Hot tub is for adults only and pool has adult only hours periodically throughout the day which is nice. I have three kids, but didn't have them this weekend so putting us in a quieter spot at the end of the campsite where there were minimal kids was a nice relaxing change. They even have a 9 hole pitch 'n put, so bring your pitching wedge and putter. If you don't like kids though, this place isn't for you during the peak season. For a pretty tightly packed campground, they have several trees around throughout the sites that give it the camping feel. I gave it a 9 based on the friendliness, cleanliness, and size of sites for such a packed campground. They even have a little outdoor restaurant made out of an Airstream trailer, which I did not try. This is a great resort geared for young families. It has a pool, fishing pond, arcade, a small par 3 course, basket ball nets, road hockey nets and a pretty good play ground for tots. The sites are fairly large, but not much for privacy. The roads are gravel and because it has been so hot and dry lately, it was a bit dusty. I would have given this one a 10 if the roads had been paved and a patio provided to keep the rig a little cleaner. There were a lot of dogs around during our stay and we were surprised to find not a single mess even though they do not have a specific pet area. Rules of the park are pretty much common sense and appear to be enforced. Our stay was very pleasant. We will not be back unless we have the grand kids with us. Park has easy access, is clean and well kept. Lots are a good size with shaded backins and open pull throughs. All lots and roadways are gravel with some grass. Has a nice par three mini golf course. Good set up for group camping. Owner not too accommodating when we asked to move to another lot. Rate reflects monthly stay. Campground is not too far to local towns and Nanaimo. This is resort camping at it's finest. This campground is spotless! It has something for every type of camper such as tenter, RV'er, cabin rental, etc. There is a river that runs behind the campground but not much for sitting at or swimming in, and you can't see it from the campsites. There is a nice salt water pool with a hot tub and a small golf course on site also. They upgraded their playground this year to the pleasure of our seven year old son. They also have a bunny enclosure with two resident bunnies which was cute. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. This park is set off the main roads so it is very quiet and the frogs sing you to sleep at night. The only downside for us is the lack of privacy between sites. However in a trailer it makes a wall between you and your neighbor so it wasn't too bad. We camped at Rondalyn Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo
