Very quiet bare bones campground nestled in the woods very close to Cowichan River. No hookups, just one or two water hand pumps in the park. No Wi-Fi and poor if any cell phone reception. The sites are level and well spaced, good privacy. A few sites can accomodate larger rigs. We are 51' combined and stayed in site #14. No problems backing in. Site #7 is even better regarding manoeuvrability. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit. Fire wood is sold for $7 for a well sized bucket. The hiking and cycling trails like the Cowichan River foot path and Trans Canada Trail in the area are not accessible from this campground, you need to drive about 5 km to Skutz Falls (campground there is permanently closed). Cowichan Lake is a 20 minute drive. Overall a very nice place to stay and enjoy some days away from it all. We will be back. We camped at Cowichan River Provincial Park, Stoltz Pool Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
