An absolutely beautifully naturally landscaped park off of Hwy 5. Sites are large, packed dirt and gravel and all appear fairly level. Utilities worked well and were easily accessed. Water had great pressure. We received one OTA television station. Wi-Fi is available for a $6 a day charge which we did not use. I had data and cell service on roaming with Verizon and Sprint. There is a nice grass partially fenced area which can be used as a dog run, but there are chickens in a pen which borders this area. There were nice play areas for children. Laundry service is available as well as coin washers and dryers. The owner seemed especially helpful and friendly. The town of Kamloops is about 10 minutes drive South and is large enough to have all necessary supplies. When coming from the north the signage into the park is difficult. The entrance road has just a small street sign. A yellow and orange camp ground sign is immediately beyond the entrance road. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros - - Very friendly staff - Shady, lots of trees - Site pretty spacious - Very quiet Cons - - Site not level - had to use boards under back wheels We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. We stayed here one night on our way to Jasper. Very wooded, cute and comfortable. Owners very nice and helpful. Bathroom clean but could use updating. The office building has a lovely back deck that's covered, with comfy sitting arrangements, TV, games and books. Our site was very spacious, with fire ring and picnic table. No satellite reception but cell service was decent. Wifi available for a small fee. We would definitely stay again, if camping was our destination, but there doesn't seem to be much in the area to do. They do provide several outdoor games, like horseshoes, badminton, etc. Lovely, quiet place for a camping getaway or to rest up for the next travel day. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

On the 'very good' side of campgrounds that are stop overs while on the road. Tiny bit of road and train noise. Very helpful staff/owners. We were in Kamloops area for a wedding and ended up staying 5 days. As others have mentioned, the laundry room is small but we took a chair to sit and read, so no biggie. We were in the spots above the washroom/shower/laundry house so we had electric and sewer and water.

There is a mix of sites, some full services, some primitive.

The high point each day was taking the grand kids to feed the chickens at the north end of the campground. there was plenty for the kids to do, playground, sandbox, climbing equipment, play house, etc.

I would stay again.

Take a carpet/mat because the sites are in the trees and you can track a lot of sticks and gravel into your trailer unless you can leave your shoes outside. (This is normal for us but we see a lot of campers not prepared and they get frustrated. We wouldn't want to stay in a pavement and concrete site but some people expect a site like that, I think.)

I would suggest to the owner to install another washer and dryer if only to earn more income from the laundry.

The dump station was free for everyone.

The serviced sites are set up so that the trailers will be back to back so every other site will have a down hill (west) view or a up hill (east) view.

I think the down hill west view was better. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A fruit stand about 3kms north at mclure ferry road.

The town of Barriere to the north is closer than Kamloops and the AG grocery store is very good. It's on Barriere town road, a right turn off hwy 5

The people are very friendly and helpful. There is a small above ground pool only satisfactory for children. The grounds are immaculate and nicely landscaped in the forest. Highway noise a tad distracting at times. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We used this park for a 2 night stay in the Kamloops area. It got better ratings from the parks immediately in Kamloops and from what we can tell the higher marks are right on. There is some train noise but nothing bothersome - and no horns that I can remember. The highway noise is maybe a bit more bothersome but not enough to deter us from going again. The owners are super friendly and very helpful. they get the highest marks one can give. The sites are OK. Room for the biggest rig and privacy enough for the tenters. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

No sewer here but good water and power. The 50 amp service did not have a breaker on the post and only a central breaker. Our site was long and level but our friends were parked next to us and had to use boards along with auto levelers for their MH. We enjoyed the night we spent here and the only negative was the laundry. There was only 1 washer and 1 dryer in a small shack with no chair to sit on. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Somewhat impressed with this campground. We stayed two nights on our way to Jasper and were very happy. Nice, large, shaded sites, large playground for the kids, and a very pleasant hostess. If I had to knock it, there would be two things; although the washrooms were very clean, they could use an update. If they had sewer hookups, I would have rated higher. Nice campsites under large trees. Firepits and patios at each site. This park is situated between the road and a railway, but this didn't bother us during the night. Wifi included was available at campsite. Only one washer and dryer available, but I was able to get the laundry done no problem. Bell Express Vu available at our site. Fresh vegetable stand is just 2 kms away. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a lovely park. The sites are large and each space has a patio, table and fire pit. There is a large playground for children and they will loan you the necessary equipment for games such as Bocce Ball. The restrooms are old but clean. There is a store and the owners are very friendly and helpful and German is also spoken. I would have given it a ten if there had been a sewer hookup at each site. The dump was easily accessible. The wi-fi was free and very good. Verizon, Rogers and Telus cell service good. The cable TV is satellite TV. and Bell ExpressVu was accessible from our site. We would stay here if ever in the area again. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

Great host owners..very welcoming, showed us to site..good feeling about place immediately. Showers were bit oldish..but free and lots of water and hot and very clean. Lovely setting amongst the pine trees and good playground for the kids. We are on our way to Jasper from Whistler and it was either Kamloops or this as a half way stop. Very pleased we picked this and recommend to everyone else to stay here rather than Kamloops. Wi-Fi was free and excellent. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground which is perfectly located half way between Vancouver and Jasper right off Hwy 5 (Yellowhead). Only 30 minutes from Kamloops. Sites are shaded under tall trees with the mountains in the background. Owner is very friendly, facilities clean and price reasonable (Good Sam Discount). Free Wi-Fi with a strong signal. We will be back when visiting the area again!! We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Travel Trailer.
