Nice park in the heart of Merrit. Clean restrooms with hot showers. Friendly park staff. Only downside was no shade, hot as hell! We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate was $27 USD. They accept Good Sam, but not during the summer. Claybanks RV Park is owned by the city of Merritt, BC. Our site was a level, pull-thru site on gravel with a concrete patio and picnic table. The site was FHU with 30 amp electric. Park WiFi was iffy. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception and good DishTV satellite reception. We would stay here again. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Motorhome.

A quiet park located on the edge of town and beside the river has large sites with plenty of green grass and paved roads. It is a full service park with connections properly located for our trailer. The shower house is very clean with thoughtful amenities (tissue, flowers, paper towels, soap) and no charge showers. The office has a supply of DVDs which you can borrow. This is a nice service. We would stay here again. We camped here in a travel trailer. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Small city park with a staff that focuses on doing things right. Extremely clean and inviting rest rooms. Would DEFINITELY stay here for a night. We stayed 2 nights, enjoying walking through the town and the river walk. My wifi signal was strong but speeds can be slow because were 3G. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame is down town - an easy walk and it's free. The town has started adding Stars of Fame along the sidewalks - they are mounted vertically because the granite was too slippery during the winter months.

Small, city owned, privately managed, park. We stayed here one night on our way to the Canadian National Parks. Very friendly, very well managed. Lovely sites with plenty of room. Flowers and grounds were very well maintained. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Price reflects power only. We've stayed here many times and keep coming back. Off the main road, level sites, friendly check in. It's a doable walk into town and there's walking along the river across the road. A few long termers but doesn't have that MHP feel. Good, pretty reliable wifi. Drive up 5A towards Kamloops and visit the old ranching town along Nicola Lake about 5 minutes north. Some interesting old buildings to see.

This is right in the city of Merritt and it's a good place to stop over and fill up on supplies etc. 30amp full hookups. Level sites. The wifi was decent if you're right by the office but does not extend through the park. The grounds are kept clean and they have really put a lot of effort into flowers and decorations and that really makes it a cute little park. The sites are grassy and roomy. There is some shade. The bathrooms and showers are very clean. There is a park across the street where you can walk the dogs. Only 1 static OTA channel. T mobile was 4g and strong without a booster. Data speeds were about 15d/l. Att had strong 3G. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We only spent overnight but a nice park, I believe it's run by the town.

It's next to the river but access is fenced off, not sure why.

Site number was a guess, it was a pull thru near the back of the park.

Overall Rating:

This is a municipal park with Merritt's town limits run by a contractor. The person I dealt with was excellent - friendly, helpful and accommodating. The park was an oasis of green in a burnt landscape and was clean and well maintained. We were able to get shade on a hot day and had a quiet, spacious site. The rv park is fairly basic, but it was clear that upgrades are ongoing. While Merritt is not a tourist town, downtown was a short walk. It is an excellent value and I would return again. The only real negative was the noise from a nearby mill, loud and continuous. We camped at Claybanks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The rv park is the only logical choice for a visit to Merritt itself and also a good option if passing through the area. Note that the major shopping is on the other side of town, near the eastern exit to Merritt. Stop there before arriving if you have groceries to get.
