The nightly rate was $32 Cdn plus $6 per night on-line reservation fee. This is one of the most popular campgrounds in the BC Provincial Parks system. We had a double site (18 and 19) which offered plenty of space for our 34 ft TT, two tents, three vehicles and all sorts of water toys. The site is on the inside ring but access to the lake was very nearby. All the sites on the outer ring are lakefront. The pads, like most Provincial sites, are gravel with no services. There are water spigots to fill your holding tank but no dump station. Groceries and gas are available in Osoyoos along with all sorts of activities. This is a resort town which gets very busy during the summer. Osoyoos is one of the hottest places in Canada with common highs in the summer around 35C. The hot dry weather makes the region perfect for wineries. The lake is warm and clean but can get busy with boat traffic. Osoyoos is also a border town with access to both US and Canadian cell service. This is one of my favorite places to camp. Even though I'm not happy with the $6/night res. fee, I'll still make the effort to camp here once a year. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Travel Trailer.

All the campsites were already full when we arrived, so our stay was in the overflow section. This is a space between the park road and the beach on the south side of the park. It can handle up to 15-20 rigs, but mainly for smaller ones less than 30 ft. I wouldn't recommend it for anything longer. There are no facilities at all in the overflow. We managed to get our chairs out, but had to keep the slideout in. No Wi-Fi and picked up 19 stations on OTA TV. It was a lovely view from where we parked. No privacy at all being next to the road. There is a trail down to a wetland near the entrance to the park. RVs are only allowed one night in the overflow and no tents allowed. Just as well, since personally we wouldn't bother to spend more time there. At this time of year, no reservations; only first come first served which makes it harder to get a site as we found. Still, we have stayed here a few times over the years and would come back again. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Motorhome.

The nightly rate is for British Columbia seniors. We only stayed here one night and a huge thunder storm rolled through. However, the storm is not a reflection of my review. Right from the start, the nightly rate is way over the rate that should be charged for the facilities that you get. The beach areas are very limited, and the pet areas are limited as well and there are no showers. The Provincial Parks in BC are sadly in need of standard pricing based on facilities but they are all tendered out to sub contractors. That being said, the Park itself is very picturesque and the bird life is wonderful. Sites are gravel and not quite as private as most Provincial Parks. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Travel Trailer.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean restrooms.

Was very disappointed that we went to the park host 3 times during the day, but nobody ever came out.

We have stayed at many parks where the hosts would always walk around talking to people and was available. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Motorhome.

Beautiful sunny weekend and we had a waterfront site with our friends, on a double site. Essentially no services but still nice. Fortunately we received the site at half price which makes it more palatable. Lot spacing is spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Truck Camper.

We were lucky to get a site as the campground was full by noon the day we arrived. There is an overflow section near the day use section available when all the campsites are full. The rate for the overflow is the same from what other campers told me. Our site was a gravel back-in that included a table and grill. No utilities are available other than a couple of water spigots and the dump station is at the 115 St. municipal works (excellent facility and free). I didn't use the park water after looking at past reviews and filled up at the dump station in town. The park toilets are flush toilets that used to be pit types and consequently there are no wash basins, only hand sanitizer dispensers. We managed to pick up on the antenna 4 US TV stations and oddly no Canadian ones. No Wi-Fi that I am aware of, just the peace and quiet of the park. Other than a few generators on during certain hours (9-11 am and 6-8 pm) and the odd dog barking it was fairly quiet. When the water is calm great place to kayak. Even the odd person swimming although the water must be fairly cool this time of year. Two pay phones near the center of the campground. Dumpsters in three different locations so not far to walk with the garbage. The park is very popular with locals who walk to the campground and on the Haynes Park Trail. Despite the lack of facilities this is an excellent park to relax. Reservations a must from May 15 to approximately September 12-15. Other times come early as this place fills up quickly. We will continue to use this park when the mood strikes. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Motorhome.

This is a very pretty campground, and we were able to secure a wonderful site overlooking the lake. There is a sign warning that the winds can come up quickly and be quite strong; we certainly found that to be true. The campground attendant will come around and collect the fee and sell firewood if you desire. The sites are large, level, and well-separated with some vegetation to provide privacy. There are water taps but with a boil-water warning. There is no dump station, so it is best to arrive with full tanks and plan on hauling out your waste water. The attendant told us about a dump station not very far away, but we did not use it as we were headed toward the U.S. and the dump was in the opposite direction. It is best to arrive early as, even off season, the campground filled and people were camping in the overflow area. Our Verizon cell phone worked well and even picked up a signal from a U.S. tower, so we were able to use data without an international charge! We were also able to find a site with Satellite access, although this would be possible in only a few sites. We would stay in this park again if in the area. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Motorhome.

This Provincial Park is set on a long thin spit of land that juts out into Lake Osoyoos. It's a very scenic and popular park and even on the last day of September we just managed to snag one of the last available spots when we pulled in. Late arrivals were out of luck. Many of the sites are lake side sites with gorgeous views of Lake Osoyoos, the surrounding hills and the city of Osoyoos in the distance. There is a day use area and an off leash dog area along one section of the shoreline. There's also a lovely nature walk through a marsh area that shouldn't be missed. Swimming, fishing and boating are all popular pastimes here. The sites themselves are spacious and fairly private with picnic tables and fire pits. Mature willows and pine trees provide shade. I would give this park a higher rating, maybe a 9 or even a 10, if only it had better services, especially considering the $30 fee. There are no hook-ups, no showers and no dump station. The water faucets had "boil for two minutes" warning signs on them. I think this would be a very noisy and crowded campground in the summer, but our stay here at the end of September was quiet and peaceful. We would stay here again. We camped at swiws Provincial Park (Haynes Point) in a Motorhome.
