Arrived a day early but staff was accommodating and got us 2 sites side by side. Once we managed to make it up the very steep grade we found both sites offered 15amp electric with broken outlets open to the weather. The overall access and feel was so poor we asked for a refund which was agreed to with a smile. We camped at Kinnikinnick Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Privacy of sites nestled among trees and a cheerful manager are the pluses for this park. The semi-paved roads are steep and have sharp curves (enough that my tail dragged). The semi-paved sites are narrow, short, and not very level. The water and electricity hookups are inconveniently on opposite sides of the site. The electricity had reversed polarity. The bathrooms were rather dark and dingy. The WiFi was almost unusably slow. We camped at Kinnikinnick Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

An interesting campground! We spent two nights here waiting for the Alaska Ferry to Ketchikan. Previous review are pretty much what we found. Big rig “could” fit in a few of the sites, but you’d most likely not be able to put out multiple slides. Getting to the larger sites would be challenging to say the very least. Power is 30 amps and is “ok.” We didn’t hook up to water, as it’s just a garden hose that’s lying in the dirt. When I turned it on, a yellow "substance" came out. Yuck! Since we’re a small trailer and use the campgrounds showers, we based our decision to stay here comparing the reviews for this campground and the one in town. The showers and toilets here are barley adequate, and need to be cleaned, trash emptied, and paper towels replenished on a regular basis. Very disappointing. Free Wi-Fi, but you’ll have to go to the laundry room to be able to get online. We were in a site very close, but could not get a signal. This campground honors Passport America for the first night ($15.50 Canadian, includes GST) and the second night was the normal rate, $31 CN, GST included. We would not stay here again. We camped at Kinnikinnick Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

BIG RIGS do NOT come here. Nice park for small rigs. We called this park and told them we would need two sites big enough for two 40 foot coachs with slides on both sides. We also need at least 30 amp or better. They checked what they had and said yes they could accommodate us. The park is hard to maneuver in and we almost tipped over going around a curve. Stayed only 1 night at a Passport America price. Went to Provincial Park where at least the sites were big enough for us. Sadly no hookups. We also looked into the campground in town, which we were rudely treated and saw that only one site would fit us there. Managers were friendly at Knnikinnick and tried to help us but couldn't. They were young and had no campground managing experience. We camped at Kinnikinnick Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We started our first night at the RV Park in the city (Prince Rupert). It was an experience all right. Needless to say we moved to Kinnikinnick Campground in Port Eward after speaking to the tourism center. The 10 min drive to kinnikinnick is worth it just for the incredible ocean view along the drive alone. We arrived at Kinnikinnick and were warmly welcomed by the manager. We were shown several sites to choose from. The sites are all different so we picked one that was perfect for us. Across the street is a small convenience store where we picked up the basics, had a bit of lunch and then went for a stroll down by the ocean. It was great. That night we bought an arm load of firewood and sat outside listening to the calls of at least a dozen different night birds as we recounted our years together and the raising of the children. A most pleasant evening. The next day we went down and threw on some laundry and took showers. The shower rooms and bathrooms were very clean and new. We spoke to a number of other guests as we waited for the dryers to finish drying. I think the positive attitude of this park just attracts all the best people. We exchanged emails and went down to the Cannery Museum (just down the road from Kinnikinnick). It was a wonderful time, we had lunch there. Thank you for helping make our trip perfect. We camped at Kinnikinnick Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
