I can't believe we have missed this gem for so many years. We normally stay at a different park when in the Greater Vancouver area. We had to be in Vancouver on quite short notice and this is the only place that could accommodate us. Check in was quick and easy. Rules are basic and enforced for the most part. Access roads are wide enough to easily get around. Services were placed midpoint on the left side and all worked well. We were here during a heat wave and our A/C worked well. The park has a wilderness feel to it even though you are only about 30 minutes from down town Vancouver (depending on traffic). The spaces are very much bigger than the competition. There is no cable TV but the Wifi is so much better and included in the nightly rate. There are a few "permanents" but their sites are neat and tidy. You can tell they are long term by the size of the propane tanks next to them but that's about all. The only draw back is the parameter road conditions. The asphalt is badly broken in a number of areas but a new layer of gravel has been installed. I'm guessing that new pavement is in the works. The washrooms appear new and are quite posh. There is a tennis/basket ball court, badminton, games/TV room. The pool is a little on the cool side but very refreshing on a hot day. The entire park is fenced and gated. No worries about bears visiting. As mentioned by others, right next door is a provincial day use park. There is a section where dogs are able to run free and access the lake water. Also a few good hiking trails to choose from. We try to stay away from "family friendly" parks but this is one that we will come back to. No restaurants or major services are with in walking distance. Across the street is a small country store (good ice cream). Port Moody with all services is about 10 minutes away. You owe it to yourself to stay here if you are in the area. We camped at Anmore Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground a couple of years ago and found it acceptable and the management to be friendly. We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and left after one night as there is new management that is very rude and the campground seemed to be a lot more dumpy then before. When we arrived in the afternoon we couldn't find anyone to check us in so we called their number and the lady that answered made it seem like we were bothering her while she was doing something. We waited almost 30 minutes at their front entrance for a guy to check us in. We camped at Anmore Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We chose this campground because of its close proximity to Vancouver and the price seemed reasonable as per RVpark reviews website. This park is not at all suitable for a short visit as it is very difficult to access. It is situated high up on the surrounding mountains above Port Moody and is accessed through residential areas. This park would be more suitable as a destination park as it has a pretty lake within walking distance. Unfortunately the management was very rude and never available. The only way to access them was by calling on a cell phone and then they made you feel as if you were being intrusive, even if you wanted to pay for another night. The cost per night was $45 inclusive of tax and $5 surcharge for 50 amp. There was an additional $1 charge for using the showers. We ended up cutting short our visit to Vancouver because of the overall bad experiance and we will certainly never come back again. We camped at Anmore Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the few parks that are really working on upgrading the facilities. New office and recreation hall being finished and loads of landscaping going in. This used to be a pretty rundown park but the owners and management are really trying. Close to a Provincial day use park so weekend traffic can be a challenge but a beautiful ( only electric motors) lake is within walking distance. Sites are back in but easliy accessible. Good width for slides and awnings. Electric power is mainly 30 amp but there are some 50 amp sites. The 30 amps seems a bit weak at times. Lots of shade and privacy. Animals are not always on leash which could be a problem when the park gets busy in the summer. We will stay most of this summer. We camped at Anmore Camp & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
