This is definitely a work in progress. The sites were level with good hook ups and nice greenery between spacious sites. The wifi worked great and the host was wonderful. You really need to be self contained to stay here, because there are no restrooms, just a few port a potties. It is a beautiful park like setting. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

New owners developing the park. A great start. Wooded privacy between long and wide sites. Utilities worked well. It is on a well and the water has iron in it. Upgrading wi-fi. No cable. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The owner is in the process of creating this park. He has installed excellent sewer and water facilities. WiFi is available in spots. He is a most gracious host, welcoming, energetic, and interesting. Very long sites. We would like to stay there again if we are in the Prince George area. Stayed in a 43ft 5th wheel easy access and exit. Two sewer connections were great. 50amp. Mosquitoes were active, but that is the north for you. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Water pressure was good but there is iron in the water. We will return again. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

MamaYeh RV Park and Campground, owner at MamaYeh RV Park responded to this review

Dear Guests,

We highly appreciated your kind review which has encouraged us so much.

For past ten years, we had worked hard to build this dreaming Provincial park-like RV Park. And for the future, we will strive harder to make the dream become true. MamaYeh will be definitely RVers' most comfortable home-like RV Park on the way to True North! Thanks very much for choosing us to stay in Prince George! Yours, Edward Yeh @ MamaYeh

The owner has to be the friendliest person we met. We made reservations and owner text us: site number, wifi password, site map of park, and local eating areas. Sites are large and long, gravel roads, owner is constantly working on roads. Wifi is good in lower numbered sites 1-4. No washroom facilities, there are portapots. There is no restrictions on back-in or pull thru sites for Passport America members as last reviewer indicated. We were in a pull through site. We would stay here again. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The other reviews were all quite true. This place is a work in progress and the owner is helpful. Only the back-in sites were available for Passport America, but that is OK with us. Our big problem was that we were there in June after some very heavy rain. The interior road was so soft and a mix of mud and gravel that our motorhome made huge ruts. The owner came and fixed then with his bobcat! Our site was more firm, but I worried about getting out for the two days we were there. That's my problem. We made it out OK. Mosquitoes made it impossible to go outside. Glad we were self contained. There were porta potties as restrooms. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

MamaYeh RV Park and Campground, owner at MamaYeh RV Park responded to this review

Dear Merikay,

Thanks so much for your visit and review.

This is my first year to open RV Park so early on 1st April. Since 2010, we were officially open on 1st June while the weather turned pretty warm & dry. The unexpected weather pattern changed and continuously heavy rainfall during this spring were my huge challenge which I had never met before. I admitted that my decision in opening such early was not proper. I do apologize deeply for the road condition which had caused you inconvenient very much during your stay. I promise to improve the park road with all efforts.

Regarding you mentioned that our park only allowed Passport America members to stay at Back-In sites. For this, I would say "It is not correct." Since we joined Passport America, we had never limited any member to stay at Back-In sites only! I truly believe it is just a misunderstanding while you booked on-line. Thanks so much for your kind visit!

Edward @ MamaYeh.

We stopped here based on these reviews. Gravel road led to an RV that was the Office. Gentleman that met us was great and friendly. He admitted that WiFi was only available at his gate RV/Office. When we declined to stay he gave us directions to drive forward and go around the outer loop to turn around and exit. He explained that they had had big rains 3 days earlier and to stay in the center of the drives. All gravel, and very soft in some parts. This appears to be a great location when it is finished, but a bit too primitive for us. Exit to the highway is just after the crest of a hill, so a bit scary.

The sites were long and wide, and included sewer, power and water. There was a beautiful Mobile Suites 5th wheel in the first spot, so big rigs definitely will fit. We did not have a 4 wheel drive tow vehicle which was another reason for our decision to continue on. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV Park is owned by one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. Over the last 10 years he has been building this RV park by himself. It is very well thought out but there is still work to be done. The roads are not paved and when we were there it was very muddy from the spring rains. The owner was out there with his back hoe, trying to grade the surfaces, but it was a bit of a hopeless cause. There is no office, but you will be greeted by the small RV at the entrance with instructions for drive ups. If you call ahead, he will text you all kinds of information. Hookups were good and well located on the long pull-thru site we stayed in, but the mud was an issue. It was fine for an overnight stop. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are the longest and widest we have ever seen. 2 sewer locations per site so you can hook to the most convenient. As stated by others park is still under construction, but utilities worked great for us and we didn't need other amenities for 2 night stay. WIFI mostly worked but we were in site #1 which I understand is one of the few that can receive WIFI at this time. Owner is very accommodating and friendly. Only thing that was bothersome was the high iron in the water. It was a little off-color and had a weird smell and taste and this was after going through our coach filter. We disconnected the water and just used our fresh water tank. When we mentioned it to owner, he stated that it is frequently tested and is safe to drink. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is a gem of a find. We stayed there a couple nights on our way back from Prince Rupert. The site was level, clean and very large. Although the campground is still a work in progress, it had all the basics and was very thoughtfully laid out. The owner is just the nicest person you will ever meet. Hopefully one day we will get back to Canada and be able to stay there again and look at all the progress he made. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is kinda different to review. It has been under development for about four years on 145 acres of land. There are 11 50-amp sites and the rest are 30 amp. Sites are nicely spaced with trees between each site. Gravel pull-throughs are loooong and level. Hookups are well thought out with two water connections and two sewer connections, so no mater where your hook ups are located, no need for extensions. Sites are oriented such that satellite reception to the SE is available. We had no trouble in site one and all the other sites look like the same orientation. There are no other amenities here such as washrooms, etc. yet but it has the potential of being a premier park in the future. The owner is one friendly dude and committed to making your stay enjoyable. Make this your stop in the Prince George area. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a basic no-frills park. You first notice the "office" is a pop up cover with plastic table and camp chairs; self-register there. The sites are roomy with back-ins along one road and large pull-throughs along another. The owner will visit eventually as he lives nearby; he is enthusiastic and helpful. This was a perfect stop for an overnight the campground well graveled and full of wildflowers and songbirds. No showers or restrooms just the porta-potties but we went self contained and had no need. Trash collected every night at eight. We loved the size and layout of the park, sites were spacious. Will always return when passing this way. As others have said this is a work in progress. Loved it. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Truck Camper.
