Lovely caring owners. Went out of their way to be sure we were happy. Large sites and easy to maneuver. Much prettier than the other park across the road. 2 washers and 4 dryers. They love dogs and kids. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Driving thru and spent a night here. Very friendly man working the desk, believe its a work from home type RV park. He let me chose whatever site I wanted, easy pull thru's even for a triple axle 41 footer. Might have been difficult if the park was packed. Laundry room was nice, 2 washers and 4 dryers, 3 loonies to wash, quarters or loonies to dry. Internet was better than most! Possibly due to only about 8 campers in the park. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Hi Lakecityemt,
Thank you for the kind words. We are a work from home type RV park and it is important to us that our guests feel welcome. Tracy and I are very pleased to hear that the internet worked great, as we recently upgraded the bandwidth and installed a new wifi antenna. Hope to see you again.

The new owners are fabulous helpful, friendly, go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable Washrooms and showers are impeccable. Park is quiet, no rowdy parties. Park is clean with beautiful flowers around the gazebo We have 3 dogs; the puppy was welcomed into the owners home to visit!!!! We are long term monthly tenants. By far the best RV park in Prince George. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

I did not have a good experience at this park due to the "crazy lady" owner. She hates dogs and goes off on a tirade at the mention of a dog. Sign on the wall threatens $100 fine for dog poop. She charges an outrageous $10 extra per night for dogs and demands that owners walk their dogs off park property in the woods. I told her she should just refuse service to pet owners instead of treating customers poorly. She peeps over her fence watching you walk your dog and even followed some folks around. Then she walked around the park in the evening chastising folks for running their air conditioners. She said there was nothing wrong with her power, just people abusing their 30A connection. This lady is crazy and needs to find another line of work!

Besides her oddities, the park is okay. Pull thrus are very long & big rig suitable as others have mentioned. Back-ins are about 50' long and relatively easy in/out. Cable TV is useless with only 1 channel and OTA TV is limited too. TELUS had a good cell signal with LTE & sometimes 3G data signal. Satellite reception is iffy due to trees. I can't recommend this park due to the owner. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground, clean with large fairly level sites. But, very expensive compared to other area campgrounds in the area. Owner is VERY rude, hates dogs, charges an extra $10 Canadian per dog, so $40 quickly becomes $60 per night. Did I mention the owner is VERY VERY rude. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Sites are level with gravel bordered by grass and shade trees. Our site needed some fresh gravel as it almost was a dirt site. Rest rooms and showers were clean WIFI connection was good. Cable TV offered only 4 channels and reception was fuzzy. Showers cost 1 looney for 3 minutes. Washer and dryer was $3 each. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The roads are gravel and the sites are gravel and grass. The pull thru sites are very long with easy access. The park is heavily treed but not a problem with access. The cable TV had 4 channels and 1 did not work (OTA had 2 channels). There were back-in sites around the outer edge and super long pull-thrus down the center of the park. There is a pavilion for meetings and nice clean laundry and showers. Every site was 30amp service. We stayed at this park in June of 2015 on our way to meet up with our Alaskan Caravan and it was really nice and we would have given it a 8 or 9 at that time. During that stay the park was almost empty.

We again stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our Alaskan caravan in Sept 2015 and the experience was not good. There was another large caravan in the park along with our 20 rig caravan and it was standing room only. The electrical system was overloaded and kept going out. The sewer system was overloaded and backed up into our site. The owner refused to deal with the problems - one 5th wheel owner pulled out an ancient generator with no noise suppressor. Again the owner refused to deal with problem and referred complaints to the wagon masters (who also refused to deal with problem).

We do understand that the season is very short in northern British Columbia but this park was way overbooked and overloaded. This is an older park and would be really nice with a few upgrades and a attitude adjustment for the manager. We would probably not stay here again. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

There is full hook up for 30 amp. There are only 2 50amp spots and they do not have water or sewer. The power is great. Some shade. Lady very nice that runs the place. Wi-Fi was great for a change. Nice and quite. Some grass between sites. Close to town. I would stay again if in the area. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This RV Park has been on my Prince George stopping point while traveling to Alaska both up and back for the past 5 years. The best part is that they supply soft water to all of the sites plus their restrooms and showers. Easy in and out with their large pull-through sites. I am 72 feet long with the coach and trailer and have no difficulty at this park. There isn't another RV Park in Prince George that can handle my size rig. We stayed at this park for two nights at the end of our Alaska caravan. The park is under new management since August 1st and seemed a little confused. We had a full hookup site with 30 amp power. With all appliances such as fridge, water heater, etc. turned off, we were hard pressed to make coffee. AC was definitely out of the question. The temperature was 30+ deg C. This park is an old park not set up to handle larger RVs with higher electricity demands. The management told us "this is a remote northern park and the amenities are not the same as we are used to down south". Prince George is a bustling city of 80K population. Not really remote. Will try a different park next time through PG. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

This was a nice clean park under new management the day before we arrived. The new owners were new to RV Park business and things were a little confused but they seemed to have good business acumen and were interested in making improvements. Power was a problem probably due to the age of the park. Fortunately we did not need our a/c so we managed alright. We would stay here again as it was convenient to town! We just had the most bizarre experience with this campground. Two of us traveling together in big rigs made reservations over 2 weeks ago for a one night stay on the way through Prince George. When we arrived the office was locked and we went looking for attendant. The woman came strolling over and asked if we had reservations and we said yes. She asked if I gave her my credit card - I could not remember specifically since we've made so many reservations in the last 2 months they all run together. But I did say the if she asked for it then I gave it to her. So she said if we had not given the CC# when we made the reservation then we did not have a confirmed reservation and she was full for the night. She didn't even go in the office to check if we had given CC# over the phone or not. When we insisted we had reservations she got belligerent and the conversation went downhill fast with her telling us just to get lost. So we did. Bizarre indeed. Other than our observation that the sites were very tight and the gravel roads through the park were very tight I have nothing else to report since we did not stay there. I also don't know the rate since we didn't pay which is why I put in $1. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with the Winnebago Alaska Caravan on August 30, 2014. The woman who now owns this park apparently has some kind of issues. She was belligerent to all the participants of the Caravan and the Hosts and Tail-Enders who were running the caravan. She put an out of order sign on the showers and restrooms. But, other campers in the park clearly were using them. She informed us, that if we used too much electricity and kicked the breakers, she would not turn them back on. We had just finished a 48 day caravan through Alaska and accomplished it quite easily with limited electricity: so we were used to limited power. Rudeness was the order of the day, as far as her treatment of the owners of the 22 motorhomes that used her park for two days. I would certainly advise Winnebago and the other Caravans that travel to Alaska, BC and the Yukon to steer clear of this park . Also, from the past review, it is advisable for all RVs and campers to look elsewhere for lodging. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Motorhome.

We were here with a caravan. In 5 years of RVing this was a weird experience. Physically the park was clean and the grounds/buildings had been well taken care of. So what was it? It turns out the Park had just been sold and had a new owner who seems to have a bias against big rig owners. When the caravan leaders first showed up she accused the caravan of plugging up the sewer system. Except, no units were there yet! The Internet stopped working and when I asked about it she very arrogantly said "you sucked me dry"! Now it was not a good Internet system and didn't work well in the first place. She closed the showers and bath facilities, denying access to our group while telling others in the park they were only closed to us and then giving them a ride in her cart to them. The owner had taken down the "Good Sam" signs and flags and put them in the garbage because of people in motorhomes asking for a 10% discount. On the last morning, when the group met in the covered pavilion for coffee/goodies/goodbyes the electricity to it had been turned off. An electrical cord had to be run from a rig site to the pavilion to power the coffee pots and warmers. In fairness, this park, like most others way up north need improvements to their utilities etc., they just weren't built for today's rigs. The issue here is attitude. Perhaps it will change, but we'll never return to find out. We camped at Northern Experience RV (formerly Southpark RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.
