Upon arrival, we entered the cabin to find a very strong urine smell throughout. These are very small cabins (a couple of bunk beds, a sink and a closet where a toilet is inside) so there is no escaping the strong smell. When we asked at the front desk about the smell, we were advised that its natural cedar. However, we have stayed in cedar built homes before and they did not smell like this. It was very overpowering. You have to bring your own bedding and towels, but we discovered you also have to bring your own soap for use after the toilet. They did not tell us this and their gift shop did not sell disinfectant soap. They tried to sell us body wash instead. There are no showers inside the cabin and we were told to use the public showers attached to the hot springs. These showers are very dirty inside and well used. It should be noted that the hot springs were disappointing too. They smelt like chemicals / chlorine and were very small. The restaurant on site serves limited food; we ordered the pizza for $20 to discover it was a frozen grocery store-bought oven pizza. The cabins are dirty, with bugs inside and cob webs. To be frank, we could have gotten past all this and chalked it up to a rustic experience, until we returned to the cabin to find mouse/rat poop on the bed and mice running around. That was it for us! We packed up our stuff and headed back to the main office to alert management to the situation. The most disappointing part of our experience was the complete lack of customer services. The owner was not the least bit surprised at our complaints, nor did she same to care whatsoever. She offered no alternative and when we asked for a refund she flat out refused. The owner was not even willing to credit us back a portion of the charges. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Cabin.

Visited this park for the Hot Springs which consist of an outdoor hot pool and an outdoor "normal temp" pool.

There are cabins, tent only and RV hook up sites. Hookups are 30 amp, are on flat gravelled pads but have no sewer connection. You have to go to the sani dump for that. The natural setting is nice with mountains surrounding. There are trains but there is no escaping that. I didn't find them bothersome but some might. It is a good place to spend a night or maybe two. They give discounts for AAA but your camp fee doesn't give you any perks for pool admission. About $10.00 US per adult. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a small store for souvenirs, some essentials and they have a small snack bar/cafeteria. It is a great place to drop anchor for a day or two especially if you want to soak some of the aches and tensions of the road away. Consider upgrading your pool admission to a day pass for and extra couple of bucks. It will allow you multiple entries into the pools for 1 price.

Overall Rating:

The campground is very nice, and high mountains all around. Some train noise but that is a fact of life in Albert Canyon. The RV section is fairly open and the tent sites are tucked into the forest. I would have rated this higher but everything is user pay, including a fee to use the pool, and the showers. I was surprised for the nightly rate that there was no sewer hookup. Still, a good option when visiting the area. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We dubbed this resort "the nickle dime resort" before we departed. $11.50 for single swim, $16.50 for day pass. It's a swimming pool! $3.00 for a 6 minute shower. $2.75 for clothes wash. $4.00 for 40 minutes drying. The grounds are grassed with lots of trees in a forested setting. Only one section with water and electric, no sewer. Sites with service are close but reasonable. Unserviced sites are more dispersed. We stayed here only because we couldn't find anything in Revelstoke. It is a good park if you do not plan on using any of their other amenities. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here for two nights nice park with grassy sites. Power and water only, no tv or wifi. Extra charge for pools and showers. We got a day pass for the pools and went in the AM was good went back in PM no hot water.

Very noisy with trains every hour or more. Will not stay here again. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful setting and nice looking sites. However, the pool is extra and it's about $13.95for a 24 hr pass or $9.95 for a single day use, in addition to the camping fee. Also, it's disappointing that there is no WiFi available. I think that it doesn't quite meet the hype but it's a nice park to stay in. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

Well this park was a disappointment. The scenery was beautiful. The WiFi, according to the office, gets turned on 9 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 7 pm but doesn't usually work. So the advertised WiFi doesn't work and the cable TV didn't work at any sites. Our friend was charged $45. for being over 37 feet long with his fifth wheel for being oversize and got the regular sized lot. After that showers are metered for $3.00 for 6 minutes and it costs $8.50 for one time in the "hot springs" pool which is mountain water which has been reheated? We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is hilly but nice. We were installed in the lower area on grass where no Wi-Fi was available. The problem with this campground is that we have to pay for everything: $3 for a shower, $3 for extra person over 4 years old, $12 for a day-pass to the pool, per person. The frequent trains nearby are very annoying. I would never return here. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Most of the RV sites are in an open field down the hill and away from the pool, as are many nonserviced sites (which tend to be more wooded). Showers cost CA$3 for six minutes, which is ridiculous. The pools are nice, if not fancy, and rather expensive. The area is pretty, but with the TransCanada and a railroad running right next to the campsites (I could see trains from my site), it is NOT quiet. They advertise WiFi, but I couldn't find it. There is nothing around for miles, so bring food with you or expect to drive to Revelstoke. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an attractive setting for a campground with a lot of potential. Our site was a good size for our 38' motorhome. Downside - no sewer connection, no 50 amp, no cable, no antenna TV reception and the power was out at night due to CP Rail doing something to the power grid. Not good for the price. Better value at other campgrounds in the area. Will not return. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.

Fantastic location but that's about it. Signs from the government saying don't drink the water. The dump was full the afternoon we left, it was full all day. To me not worth what I paid. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here on a whim, and were not disappointed. We usually like to boondock, but the were enticed by the hotsprings. Our campsite - on the lower area - was very private; and the hot springs were soothing. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Serviced RV sites are fairly wide open with no shade trees. Unserviced sites look nice with lots of cover. Located beside busy(noisy) railroad tracks. Had two negative encounters with the staff one of which was overbilling our credit card. We will not stay there again. I recommend the National Park campground if you are heading east or a private RV park in Revelstoke if you are heading west. We camped at Canyon Hot Springs Resort in a Motorhome.
