This park has been a stop over, and on occasion we have stayed a few days. It has easy access to the city and highway. It has always been clean and well maintained. This year it has new owners. Not much has changed other than garbage containers have been made bear proof and the Wifi is soooo much better. We are here later in the season and expected an almost empty park but it was near capacity. Be sure to reserve if you can. We paid $46.15 Cdn inc tax and feel we paid a fair price. We will be back. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

This quaint campground right by the river was perfect for our two night stay. The owners live in a home right at the park and they are most helpful and friendly. The sites are close but you have a feeling that you are camping in someone's backyard, which is what you are, and it is comfortable. There is WiFi on site. We did not try over air television. There is a train that goes by right behind the park but they do not blow the whistle so it is not disruptive. They have set the park up so that all sites have picnic tables, clean restrooms and showers, a separate covered room with picnic tables, and a clean laundry room. The town of Ravenstoke is very cute and was fun to hike over there from the park. The nearby ravenstock mountain was a definite location to see while there. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We had a very pleasant stay during our week stay. We had a pull through for our 41' foot 5th wheel. Full hookups with cable. WiFi worked very well, even when the park filled up in the evenings. Laundry room had two washers and two dryers. Both worked very well. New owners who are very customer oriented. About one mile walking distance to downtown grocery store, bakery and restaurants. The train trestle is close by but after a day we were accustomed to it. Would most definitely stay again. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

a lovely campground, nice and quiet and off the highway. nice green lawn and very clean. The staff is fabulous and friendly. We had inquired if we could extend our stay by a day and they came first thing in the morning to advise that they had a cancellation and had moved things around so that we could stay! We will certainly stay here again! We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Efficient in making reservation. Called day ahead of arrival to check conditions because of BC forest fires. Owner gave valid information with no threats in the area. Upon arrival, we were directed to a nearby site with easy access for our 39 foot motorhome towing a RAM behind us. Pleasant site in well manicured grassy area with shade on both sides. Water electric and sewer are all conveniently located. 30 amp electric provides steady 120V current with AC running. Park owners are pleasant and helpful in providing information about the park and surrounding area. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is a great location to Revelstoke. The sites are very close together, grassy and well maintained. The sites are level and shady. There are 2 washers and dryers. They looked clean but I didn't use them. Bathrooms and grounds are kept very clean. There's only 30 amps here but the fastest free wifi I've seen in 10 months on the road. I was pulling 40mb d/l and it remained consistent for our entire stay even though the park was packed to capacity every night. There are trains close by. I did hear them overnight but it wasn't enough to bother me but if you are a very sensitive sleeper it may bother you. The cable tv was excellent and I had good cell signal for both data and voice on T-Mobile and ATT. The staff was very friendly. I didn't get the feeling there are many seasonal people here. All of the campers seemed to be very well kept with no junk laying around. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

We really appreciate you taking the time to provide such an informative and positive review; and are happy to hear you found the bathrooms and grounds well kept and clean. Have to agree that the trains can be a nuisance especially for light sleepers, but we're glad they weren't overly troublesome for you. Thank you for the feedback on the wifi - it's great to know it's working so well!

Stayed over weekend as a stop over. Got a great site close to office, pull through. Some sites are close. Your rig parks on grass, which needs cutting badly. Especially that you cannot put mats on it. So your running shoes get wet when you walk through it. Sewer connection even with ground, doesn't screw in. Would stay here again if get the more private sites. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Apologies for our slow reply to your constructive feedback. We try to stay on top of the mowing and groundskeeping to ensure our campground is always presentable and clean; and so we are disappointed and sorry that you did not feel this was the case for your stay. We will certainly keep your feedback in mind.

Well-kept, connected to scenic walk along the dike constructed to prevent flooding from the nearby Columbia River. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Pub within walking distance if you don't feel like cooking. You can also walk to town (about 30 minutes) if the weather is good. Views are spectacular and the mature trees make this campground one of the gems of the Rockies. Mosquitoes frequent the area so do use your bug spray. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check with staff about nearby pubs and shuttle to town during the summer season. Walk along the dike is pleasant, but locals walk and cycle with their dogs off-leash. Could be a problem for visitors with leashed dogs, or cyclists who don't expect a dog encounter.

Great for an overnight at Revelstoke. Everything worked fine, although wifi gets very spotty if you are more than 100 feet from the office. There is a trail out the back that leads to an easy walk to the Columbia River. Also a nice long dike trail for your dog. Revelstoke has everything you need. You should bring bug spray especially if you plan to walk to the river. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The trailer was parked on grass, and there were puddles of water within the site when it was raining hard. Wifi did not really work at the site, but worked perfectly fine at the bathroom. Trains went by frequently during the night. It was a fine base camp for exploring the area. Showers (hot water) was loonie-operated. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here a number of times but I'm sure the last time we rated it was years ago. This is a convenient overnighter for us although, on occasion, we have spent a couple of days here. This park is always clean, neat and tidy. Spaces are a little close when it's busy. The owners are on site, friendly and make sure park rules are obeyed. This is an older park but everything always works as it should. Easy access to Highway 1 but far enough that you don't hear traffic. There is a shortcut to downtown across a single lane bridge. A foot path that follows the river right next to the park is great for walking your pet. You will hear train noise no matter where you are in Revelstoke. Trains are partly why the town exists. The noise never bothers us. Sites are on grass. Most are pull through. BASIC Wifi worked but don't expect to stream any video. We will return. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

The sites are very small and close together. Your fellow camper is literally right out your window.

There is no playground, although advertised. There is an old wooden swing set with 2 regular swings and 1 baby swing, that's it. Where the volley net is they have tenters camped so you cannot use it. They should probably not advertise a playground or they should install one.

The walk trail takes 1 minute and leads to the main road which needs to be crossed to get to the dike walkway. Not all sites have fire pits; ours did not and we had asked for that.

There is roadway traffic and train noise all night. The owners are very kind, the campground is clean. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

Gravel driveways, reasonably level sites all on grass with firepit, some are really narrow, some pull throughs, water with enough pressure, 30 amp power, no 50 amp available, sewer, basic cable TV, WiFi at first wasn't working but then got another one to connect to and it was fine. Nice setup among some trees, I didn't try the satellite but it should work on most sites. Hookups are somewhat dated but working. Washrooms need a MAJOR update. Showers are coin op but too small, not enough hooks, no shelve or bench, no door just curtains. Setup goes back to the sixties! Laundry has toploaders only. Staff is very friendly and very helpful. I would come back if again in the area. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed two nights. Overall a nice campground. Sites were a little cramped: my neighbour was less than 4 feet off the edge of my awning. Campground had dated but acceptable washrooms and did have a camp kitchen where those camping with tents could go and wash dishes. Campground was pretty close to the CP rail main line, we didn't mind as we like that type of noise but it did not disrupt our sleep. Owners were very helpful and willing to pass on local knowledge. Campground is 2.5 miles from the town centre - we rode our bikes in. If I could give half points would rate this campsite as a 6.5. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
