Overall Rating:

It is important to note that this is more "Campground" than "RV park" - gravel roads, forest, natural sites (dirt, grass, shrubs, trees). It is an older campground under new management and some areas, such as the washrooms, could use updating. That said, the new owner lives onsite is doing lots of work around the place. There are quite a variety of full hookup sites for RVs of all sizes as well as a secluded tenting area. There are a few seasonal folks but most sites appear to be transient. The campground is well run and delivers as advertised. The hookups work properly and the wifi is fabulous!! The campground is bisected by a lovely small river. The sites in the front are easily accessed but are subject to dust and traffic noise from the nearby highway. The sites across the river are quieter & cleaner but farther from main washrooms. The bridge and the roads are more than adequate for rigs our size (36feet). We preferred the sites across the river. This campground caters to mountain bikers with rentals, repair and wash stations and nearby trails. There is also a river rafting company based onsite. Other campers were mostly families and outdoor enthusiasts. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. We camped at Mtn Fun Basecamp in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We found the location convenient to hiking, swimming, biking and rock climbing. Several coffee shops and craft breweries are easily accessible by bicycle on trails & quiet roads. The location is next to Alice Lake Provincial Park, accessible by mountain bike trail. We would stay here again.
