Should have read the previous reviews before booking. Booked 2 months ahead and I was told what my site was as I asked for a private shady site. When I got there the manager was unfriendly and they had changed our site on us. The site they gave us was not shady nor private, it was across from the bathrooms. Manager said he would attempt to help move to the site on my email, but when we went back to talk to him, he would not consider changing back to the site indicated on my email. We stayed for over a week and the site we were suppose to get was empty most of the time. Highway noise was loud and the kids playground was dirty and not much fun for the kids. Pool was nice but rules were never enforced. Bathrooms were locked with a code for the night, why locked up I don't know. Sites were close and tight. Lot of the cedars that provided privacy were cut down. Manager of the place never said Hi or smiled. Overall experience was bad and I would never go back. Place is for sale so maybe they don't care. We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

This campground was very small. It's in a cul de sac. It's like they turned their backyard into a very small campground (gravel pit). The sites were very small, and all of the other campers had to move their vehicles in order for trailers to get in or out. Way overpriced! Would not advise anyone to go there with a trailer or motorhome. Great for tenting or very small motorhome. We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very small place, not recommended for Motorhomes. Expensive for what they offer. No grass, just dirt. Shade/big trees. Wi-Fi offered but did not work at all. Laundry/Washrooms: need improvement, dryer did not work properly. Pool OK. Playground boring. Website promises/shows more then what is actually there (32' Motorhome cannot be maneuvered/parked) We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great place. BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, it really isn't meant for RVs. Maybe truck campers and van conversions, but this place was sooooo difficult to maneuver in. Way to many long trailers and just not enough space to make it through. The campground was bought by new owners and renovated back in 2007. (It used to be called Cedarbrook. Their website has a lot of info on this.) They did a great job, but the place is really, really tight. They maybe could've done something with making it one way, and made the turns easier. For some unknown reason, they were allowing rigs 30'+ in this place. I sat down for an hour watching a massive trailer trying to back into a tiny spot. (A bunch of us had bets that he wouldn't make it. There were 4 guys helping the driver back-in. He blocked the access road with his truck when he was all done.) Also had to move my truck so that a large trailer could get enough clearance just to get into his pull-through site. We had to get two people to move their cars when we were leaving, and our trailer is only 22' long. Another guy leaving at the same time coming the other way had to back up, unhitch, and move his truck just so we could make it through. I think this place prefers to think of themselves as a family-oriented tenting campground more than an RV Park. (It's family oriented activities and quiet policy proves this.) So they should try to enforce that and prevent anything larger than 25' from entering. The campground itself is clean, but there is no grass, just dirt pads (kids get very dirty, very quickly). Lots of trees, which is nice. The pool is great, and there is some shade here in the afternoon. There is Wi-Fi, BUT you need to park your PC right outside the office to get it. (Defeats the purpose, if you ask me.) Owners are very friendly, although we did have an incident upon arrival where their front gate froze up and they blamed it on us. (It wasn't fully closed yet before we entered the code. Ummm, yeah, everyone knows not to do THAT, right?!) There is no dump site at the campground. (Ummm: where would they even put one? No space for it!) While the bathrooms/showers were clean, it costs $1 for 5 minutes of showering. Seems excessive when you are paying $45 already, but perhaps it's because they are on a septic system? Another problem with this place is that the electric hook-ups are located every two sites. So some RV'ers had a big extension cord strewn across their campsite. Not something the owners mention when you reserve (which I confirmed from other disgruntled campers). I think that is rather deceiving, or ignorant, on the part of the owners. They only have 20 amps max, too. Which was just enough to run our little A/C unit in our trailer. The location is great, but very close to a residential area (some of the sites back onto houses). We stayed on the side that backed onto the dike. Very pretty. We were visted by a family of quail everyday. It was a bit noisy on that side (close to the highway), but not too bad. I'd like to think this place is maybe still working out the bugs under the new ownership. Maybe they'll start to get wise and maybe have a strict policy of no RVs larger than 25'. We wouldn't stay here again, but we'd recommend it to tenter's that can't get in at Okanagan Lake Provincial Park. RVers should stick to places they can actually drive through without having to ask 5 campsites to move their vehicles first. We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The place was much to small for our 27 feet RV. It was not a pleasure getting in and out. $55 is very much, especially when you have to pay separately for the showers! The owner was very, very unfriendly and there are too many rules. Two pages full of do not's. Is the owner thinking we are mentally disabled? Only in the washroom there were already 8 papers with rules. We have been camping in Canada for 3 weeks. It is a very nice country with very friendly people. This campground was the only disappointing thing in our whole vacation. We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

We reserved a site here and had just pulled in when a jeep raced by with a Pitbull in the back. The owner said they were in a tent and had come to some arrangement where the dog would be tied up at all times. We immediately pulled out. Please check their pet policy before staying here. We are now asking if they allow Pitbulls before we reserve or pull in to any campsite. Had a bad experience at one site so we are very aware of what these dogs can do. We would not stay here. The sites are also very tight and we had trouble getting our 21 ft trailer backed in. Sites are mostly shaded. We camped at Summerland Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
