We stayed one night on our way back to Victoria from Osoyoos. The resort is adjacent to highway 3, and one can hear the traffic, but it was not bad because it was intermittent. The setting is beautiful, surrounded by treed mountains, some with patches of snow at the top. We were pleasantly surprised that we could get satellite. Check in with a reservation was quick and pleasant. Since we were overnighters we did not use the pools or the exercise room. The indoor pool was open, but the outdoor pool was closed for repairs. Both looked good. Site 69 was level gravel and grass, wide with privacy hedges between the pull through sites to each side. Park was perhaps 20% full, quiet and clean. Having 50 amps was nice as other parks in the area that we have used are 30 amp. Our Garmin GPS did not find the park in Hope(the address) but did find the address in Fraser Valley, which was the correct location it turned out. We will stay here again and linger longer. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gravel roads had potholes. No cell phone service. No tv at all. No radio. Satellite dish would probably work. Indoor pool and hot tubs, which we used, were satisfactory. Highly overpriced for what you get. Laundry facilities available, did not use. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wifi was available at sites, but we had to pay extra and it was for one device only. Wifi was free at the office. We saw people standing outside using their laptops early in the morning because the office building was closed. While the scenery was beautiful, we felt that at $65/night Cdn + extra for wifi, the park was highly overpriced for what you're getting. Considering how isolated the place is when it comes to telecommunications, charging for wifi seems a bit exploitative.

Being here in the middle of nowhere is absolutely breath taking. I feel safe here; which says a lot for me. This is the PERFECT winter get away. Even for those who aren't big snow buffs. Which would be myself. Waking up surrounded by snow covered trees and mountains that over pass one another is incredible. So quiet here. SERENITY...

The staff is very accommodating, friendly and really quite comical at times. The gym is clean and full of new easy to use equipment for both men and women. The pool is crystal clear, well kept and quite warm. swimming while gazing at the snow covered hills is just so relaxing. I believe this must be a new place to RV because it's rather quiet here. I really don't mind hogging the pool to myself though. Monthly rates are average but most other places don't include this indoor pool, hot tub and gym. I have zero complaints and have been here for almost a month so far. looking forward to making this my winter get away from here on out. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Being a shop-a-holic my adivie to shop is absolutely everywhere of course.

The only thing i would reccommend for this RV park is to sell folding shovels and de-icer in the store. I say this only because I keep forgetting to buy these items and I have been using my broom which is now somwhere in the snow outside. oops.

Beautiful spot in the Valley. Wonderful facility with indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. Workout room with cardio machines and weight machines. Nice wide spaces with hedges for privacy. Bit of a slant toward the front of our site so we just stayed toward the back and had no problems. Nice office staff and well appointed little market. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Had booked this park online just for overnight. Make sure if you book this online, you check your discount, because the rude lady at the front desk said, "We dont give discounts after you check in." I've often forgotten to give a discount card in advance but received a discount after booking.

No internet at campsite except for a fee. The rate was absurd for a place like this, but nothing else in the area. Did not use any of the "resort" amenities as it was June and it was rainy and cold. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Holiday Trails RV Resorts, owner at Sunshine Valley RV Resort responded to this review

Hello Big_Rigger,

I was disappointed to hear your negative comments regarding discounts on online bookings. We have a set of terms and conditions that guests must agree to prior to making an online booking and it is clearly stated that those wishing to use discounts must call the resort so that we can confirm the discount membership. Unfortunately we have had to deal with many who attempt to book a online reservation using discounts clubs but are not actually members of said club during check in. This is why we ask for a call in advance.
Also to clarify all Holiday Trails Resorts offer a free WiFi hotspot in addition to our premium paid WiFi service through out the resorts.
I am disappointed that your found the rate unreasonable and chose not to take advantage of the indoor pool, hot tubs, fitness center or games room on a rainy June day.

The park is fairly new and easy access to the sites for Big Rigs. The sites are very rocky so be careful when walking around. Our fire pit was very close to our slide so we couldn't use it. Hook-ups are good. There are 2 great pools - indoor and outdoor. Nice hot tubs too. The pool closes early even for adults. We were in a site that was close to the highway but noise wasn't too bad. Laundry room was well equipped and clean but on the expensive side. Wifi was available for a daily fee. No Cable TV available. Satellite dish worked well. Gets quite windy every afternoon. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They have an onsite store for amenities but expensive and very limited in products. No milk when we checked. Lots of beer and other spirits available. Be sure to shop in Hope before you head out to Sunshine Valley.

Nice newer park. Big rig friendly. Pretty area with pine covered mountains all around. Close to the hwy, but the road is quiet at night. Pay WiFi was weak. Verizon was weak. Nice pool, but it closed early. Good store, and propane. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nearby Othello Tunnels SP is in a deep gorge - great place to walk, view the mountains, river and old train tunnels. The tunnels area bout a 1/4 mile walk, on level ground, from the parking area.

Nice park and it looks fairly new. It is a membership park but nonmembers such as us can use as well. The rate is from Passport America. They have a nice indoor pool and a pair of large hot tubs, so that was nice on a cool rainy day. Friendly helpful staff. Their Wi-Fi service quite slow. Showers $$. We stayed 2 nights. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

It would have gotten a ten if they had free WiFi and cable. WiFi and cable worked very good. We did not use the showers - they look good - but you have to pay! When you are on a campground this pricy they should be free. Extremely big and width sites, very friendly staff. Beautiful pool (in and outside) and hot tubs. Great views. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park. Indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, nice level sites, close to Hope and Manning Park. Would have given a higher rating except for two things, have to pay for showers, and Wi-Fi is Tengointernet which was down as much as it was up. Nice to have a member park in this location. We stayed here as RPI members and will be back. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Newly opened RV site part of the Holiday Trails Resorts. Great for Big Rigs and sites have full facilities and are pull throughts. Allows ATV's camping, cabins, various pools, hot tubs and recreational facilities. For us it was a great way to split our drive to the Okanagan Valley in comfort and enjoy the wonderful mountainous region. Open year round close to Manning Park and ski facilities as well. We camped at Sunshine Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.
