Tofino is a beautiful place and there aren't many choices camping with an RV here. This park is a mixture of cabins and RV sites. The cabins look really nice. The park is not for big rigs. We camped in a 26 ft Class A and our rig just fit in the spot and we didn't see many that were larger. The spaces are very close together but there is a lot of vegetation to screen sites. Utilities all worked as expected. They have WiFi that actually works. For those that like to build campfires the firewood is free. Just a short walk to the ocean from the campground office. The office is in the rear of the park and when you arrive there is no place to park and no place to turn a big rig around so uncouple your towed before you get into the park and don't pull all the way through if you are driving something big. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

The RV sites are located on the grounds of an upscale resort with cabins. The location on McKenzie Beach is spectacular and the resort grounds are beautifully landscaped. There are nice touches like free coffee/tea, papers, DVDs and firewood. The employees are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restrooms are kept clean even with constant usage from the big groups and families who are coming and going all day from the beach. The negatives are the small RV sites which are not at all big rig friendly and the narrow interior roads. There is no parking control, so people are allowed to park their vehicles on the road in from of their site because the sites aren't long enough to accommodate both camper & tow (or trailer and truck). This makes it even more difficult to navigate the tight interior turns. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is well groomed and landscaped, paved with small private sites. Easy to use with truck and camper or smaller trailer. Staff are friendly and Starbucks coffee free till 1:30. Free firewood but heavy and not dried. Romantic beach and cove with beautiful sunsets when clear. Wifi signal not the best and kicks off after thirty minutes. Cabins also available on site but check the prices. Laundry and shower facilities are fine, very clean but no benches in showers. This is really the best of campgrounds if you prefer the upscale places. Gates close at 11:00 pm and don't open till 7:00 am so you have to drive over those one way spike things if you are early departure types. Will definitely stay here again. Reservations definitely recommended. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Watch for the speed bumps they have installed there is no speed you can go over safely they bounced us pretty good at an idle. They will still serve the purpose if you shave em down a touch. Rent a bike for the nice ride into Tofino, about 3 kliks.

Beautifully laid out park. Communal areas well maintained and cared for. Good access to beach. Free coffee every morning. We enjoyed drinking it while looking out to sea! Wi-Fi patchy but just OK.

Sites are well separated and felt private. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is actually very nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful, but... We expected a little bit more out of the so-far-more-expensive-park we had visited during the last week in BC. Nice facilities, but it was pitch black in the evening through the pathways. Then, the toilets were clean and taken care of, but not up to the standard of that price range. We had seen better with a cheaper price. The laundry room was a bit "tired". Instead of a "lost & found" box full of forgotten socks, i would suggest to place a small book shelf with paperbacks or alike.

But , it is very close to Tofino and as i said, the staff at the reception were great. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful rv park right on a lovely beach. Many paddle boarders enjoying the waters, even at end of October. Paved roads, crushed gravel sites, internet worked just fine for us on site 45. No TV cable or aerial, but enjoyed DVD movies. Water pressure excellent. Park not overly light at night, need flashlight. Lots of beautiful rental cabins on site. Suggest you book early for rigs 32 ft and larger; not all sites accommodate larger units. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely playground for kids. Very pet friendly. This is a top notch RV park and best in area. Beautiful landscaping thorough out park. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Most sites are full service (30 amp) intended for rigs under 30 feet with a few larger sites. Most sites are very private in deep shade. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the beach for watching surfing, storms or sunsets. Free Starbucks coffee in the morning, free firewood for burning in the fire pits. No cable or over-the-air TV but great library of free movie DVDs. Staff are very helpful with finding good food and local activities. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

An excellent park that is extremely well manicured. It also has around 30 cabins for rent. All the sites are private with fire rings and a picnic table. Location is great being right on the ocean for long beach walks. It's on MacKenzie beach. If you want to go to Chesterman Beach, that is about a 20 minute easy walk. Location is close to Tofino as well as we biked into town on a paved bike trail that follows the highway. Safe. It is a 3 km bike to town. Free Starbucks coffee every day 8:30 - 1 pm. Free movie rentals, and lots of selection. We tried the showers once but they were cold. Supposedly some issue that got resolved. Only thing we didn't like was their free Wi-Fi. It was slow and the staff told us and it only lasts for 30 minutes, then you have to re-log in. For the amount they charge, a change to this policy would make this a "premium" resort in our eyes. We stayed 3 nights. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

A meticulously manicured park! Flower beds and well pruned shrubs everywhere. But it is tight. Don't take your big rig here. We saw 30' trailers squeezed in, but that's about what you can manage. The sites are rather small, mostly shaded by trees, but offer good privacy. Good hookups, sewer in the back of the site. Fairly level, we didn't need any boards. Wifi was ok. But you get thrown out every 30 minutes and have to log back in. Free firewood is included in the rate. But it is very moist, so not much fun to burn it. Best part is the direct access to a romantic cove and the adjacent MacKenzie Beach. Nights were very quiet. Overall I would rate this park a 10 if it was a little cheaper. But because of the 'buts' mentioned above, it is only a 9. We'll be back. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Truck Camper.

This is a well-kept park beside the ocean, with all facilities clean, organized, and maintained. A short stroll takes you to the beach where you and your dog can run and play across a huge sand beach. In some places you can have your private off-leash park. The office/clubhouse/coffee bar is amazing with cable TV, free coffee in the morning, and free DVDs in the evening. The downsides to this park are the small sites and narrow roads. During your reservation they ask your RV length so be sure to say that you have a 20 foot truck in front of your trailer. This is important when you try to back into your site. The couple beside us used an hour to wiggle their trailer in to position. We would stay here again. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wi-Fi good and soon to be better. Some paved roads with gravel sites. Narrow and tight turns for big rigs. Secluded privacy, good ocean access. Biggest complain was too small hooks in showers and no shelf or benches. We'd stay here again . We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Without a doubt the local area is blessed with some magnificent geography, and, perhaps the previous 10 rated reviews confused the beautiful beaches, ocean views, and mountain views, with the rating of this park. This RV park is not set up for big rigs. That applies to the rest of the local campgrounds! When you read the following you will understand why they charge you full price when reserving a site. The RV park is in the heavily wooded area, with no views and no sunlight if it comes out. It rains here a lot, so, everything stays wet after the rain stops (drip, drip). Our site was surrounded by a wet bog (more wet). The RV sites have a minimal amount of gravel and things get real muddy (in and out of the RV) during rainy periods. Only 30A electric, and sewer connection about 30' away from RV outlet. When we called to book the reservation we explained that we were a big rig: 40' 5th wheel, 56' overall with the truck, and 14' wide with the slides out. The person at the desk checked with the general manager and he assured us that there was no problem handling a rig of our size. When we arrived they gave us a printout (after we had squeezed the RV into the site) that stated that a maximum length of 35' for motor homes and 30' for trailerable RV's. We managed to get our RV in the so called big rig site, with trees and bushes window to window, on three sides, and no room left over for the truck. I wanted my money back, but they tried to buy me off by giving us a cheap bottle of wine. We would have been much happier being told to stay away as our RV is too big for the park. We left the park before our paid up time expired. We do not recommend this park if you have a big rig. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

It was just the most beautiful park we ever found. Wonderful play area for the children (many child's) and great beach access. Sites are very shady and nice. All is CLEAN. Staff is very helpful. Pit fire with all woods you want (included in the price). There is no store onsite but within walking distance. The only problem is that you must reserve at least 3 nights in a row (not less). But this is it when you are a wonderful park. Be aware that you should reserve well in advance to get a place. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.

If I could give this more than a 10, I would. Truly the most beautiful park I have ever been in. Gorgeous grounds, flowers, garden, stream with little water fall, wonderful play area for the children, beach access, and the nicest people with the most wonderful friendly attitude. The sites are surrounded by giant trees- very private feeling. BUT if you have a larger motorhome, be sure to make reservations as they have very few long sites. This should be the model for all RV parks. We camped at Crystal Cove Resort and RV Park in a Motorhome.
