This is a BC Provincial RV/camping park located on the shores of Swan Lake. It is a couple of miles off the main highway so has no road noise. Most of the sites are open grass with plenty of room between them but little privacy. There are no services available at any of the sites. Look for mosquitoes in the morning and evening. Fires are allowed so the place can get smoky when the wind is still. There is a swimming beach in the day use area across a walking bridge from the camping area. A boat launch is also available. Most of the business seems to come from "locals" and there are no long term residents. Swan Lake campground seems typical of many BC parks and is pleasant enough if you enjoy dry camping. We camped at Swan Lake Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is very nice and right on the lake. The lake is big and accommodates waterskiing and tube riding along with canoes and fishing prams. It is very clean. All sites have picnic tables and fire rings. There are a variety of site sizes on a first come first serve basis, and all are very level. We were 52 feet long with our trailer and fit just fine with about 4 feet to spare in site #22. They also have double sites that can easily accommodate two RV's. There is also very good fishing in the lake. The camp hosts are friendly and welcoming and come to your site to collect fees. It is cash only, so bring some Canadian money. There is a playground for kids, horseshoe pits, (you may need to bring your own horse shoes or ask camp host if they have some to rent or borrow), and a volleyball net (again you may need to bring your own ball). You can tie your boat up easily and there are plenty of pit toilet rest rooms and water faucets throughout the campground. There are no hook ups at the sites and generator hours are limited to 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening, so the camp is nice and quiet. They are pet friendly, too. I would stay here again. Sites are spacious and there is plenty of room between them. We camped at Swan Lake Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

I’d rate Swan Lake very high for beauty surroundings. No hookups or showers, but it’s a park by a beautiful lake (with lots of fish), so come here for that and not for free internet/cable! The roads and sites are well graveled. Much rather stay here than in the parking-lot campgrounds in nearby Dawson Creek! We camped at Swan Lake Provincial Park in a Motorhome.
