Being a Friday and all the sites on a first come first serve basis, I came early and picked out a site at the 10am earliest registration time. Originally I was looking for a double site for family and us, but those sites were occupied. As it turned out, the individual sites were a lot bigger. Our site (#38) had plenty of room for a big rig. With lots of foliage it was also very private. Another advantage to this site is the Shower Trail is nearby. Our son had #39 next door and it was more wide open with not much in the way of privacy, but it had a great panoramic view of Kalamalka Lake. All the sites are back-in gravel with the exception of the 4 electric sites which are paved and near the parking lots. The campground was full by noon and one of the parking lots is used for the overflow and that was almost full as well. Park attendants were very friendly and helpful. One issue that they couldn't fix (they said) was all the wood bugs crawling around the men's shower stall floor. Probably not for the squeamish. The Nature Trail has been extended with a gravel section that goes to the highway. When the weather is nice, this is a busy place with lots of people using the day use facilities, especially the boat basin. Still one of our favourite campgrounds and we will continue to stay here. - Onemoretrail

There are times when you want to use your RV but don't want a marathon drive and Kekuli Bay is the choice for us. This park has taken years to mature and now most sites have trees that provide some shade. It does get very hot in the Okanagan during the summer months (35C is common) so be prepared. Only four sites have services, a rarity for a Provincial Park, and are not very private. Due to the terraced layout of the campground, almost all the sites have a view and are very spacious. The lower down you are, the less road noise from Hwy 97 you'll hear, but generally, it's not too bad. The site was originally designed as a large boat launch facility so unfortunately, there's not a great beach area. If you plan to canoe or kayak, do so early in the day to avoid the boat chop. Kalamalka Lake is a very busy lake for recreational boaters. A new bonus attraction is the bike path on the old railway line that ran along side the lake. It runs for miles and is flat. If you get too hot just stop your bike anywhere, and go jump in the lake! Its warm and very clean. Vernon is 10 minutes away for shopping and the access to Predator Ridge Golf Resort is right across the highway. - HowieS82

Well kept and clean. Close to town. beach area not big and tough to get a spot on a busy day (bush area up to lake side in some spots). Good base for all types of activities. Great boat launch and parking area. Very big overflow camping area. - GerryT

The staff is friendly and helpful. The willow trees are really low hanging and may scratch the top of your rig. Some of the back in driving is tricky with all the trunks and branches, however they are valuable for shade. The drives are tricky and if you are long and driving to your site, prepare to turn at the first turn going back/north or you will have to unhook. Used the laundry which worked well but many dryers and a washer broken, everything dirty and dusty. The lake is not usable but it is beautiful to watch the ducks and see the wildlife. - saturn7
Jul 2016 - $46.00
Fairly decent park but very difficult to get into from 97. Staff very friendly. Willow trees need to be trimmed as they hang too low. All services worked. - PeterT
Oct 2015 - $36.00
Nice park with clean level gravel sites with grass between in our area. Some permanents but for the most part very well kept. Only complaint is the difficult access to Hwy 97, which is very busy. There is a rail line right next to the park, but has very limited traffic (not a main line by any means). - DaveyB

This is our second stay at this park. New owners took over last year. Improvements are a constant here. They have leveled and landscaped a number of sites and are working on more. Fresh gravel at our site. The chickens and roosters are gone. A new washroom facility is almost ready to open. They still need to work on power sources at some sites. The owners are very friendly and attentive. We hope to be back again next year. - Rollin Ollens
Sep 2016 - $35.00
We stayed for 3 nights in a full service site. We were only a short 50 yards from the lake. Since we were almost the furthest away from the office, the WiFi was non-existent, but the owner was up front with that information. This was his and his family's first season as owners and we can't say enough about his friendly, helpful attitude. He takes the time to help each new camper get settled into their site. We know that in time things like the WiFi will get better. On a side note, we had reserved and paid for 4 nights but left one day early. He kindly offered to refund the last night if he was able to rent the site and rent it he did and the refund was made. Now that is Great Customer Service. We will be back. - Gary & Rachelle
Jun 2016 - $46.00
This park is in a wonderful location, just outside Vernon, right on the lake. But it's older, quite small, and funky. The spaces are very tight, too close together, not well looked after, and ours wasn't close to level. The washrooms & showers were old and minimally clean. Wifi was iffy. No cable. The new owners are friendly, pleasant, and seem energetic -- hopefully they'll get the place standing tall soon. They have some watercraft available for guest use for free and rent paddleboards. All sites had fire rings, which, when the sites only have inches between them, can present problems for people who can't tolerate smoke. The location is excellent, the park (right now) is not. - mlbw

Jul 2017 - $55.00
As other reviews have stated, this is a nice park. The sites are well layer out, all concrete with excellent utility hook ups for 30 and 50 amp. I would have given this park 10 out of ten but for the wifi. Had trouble getting connected per the instructions from check in. Called the tech support number and after a while got connected but the signal at this site (170) is very poor. The advice from tech support was to sit outside or next to a south facing window and even then the speed is marginal. It's nearly 40 deg C outside so not to keen on that. Relocating or adding another antenna for this end of the park would be a great feature. - ddrichter
Jun 2017 - $68.00
This is a full-time park with a few sites for traveling people. Very nice manager, warm clean pool and pristine condition of the park!! Close to shopping and restaurants! We were lucky enough to get a site on the end next to the lake, just a beautiful area, would definitely stay here again!! - 2VetsRVing
Sep 2016 - $35.00
This is the second time we've stayed at this park and we will do so again. It reminds us somewhat of the 'snowbird' parks in Arizona. The pool is nice and warm and the hot tub/spa is quite relaxing. It is close enough to Vernon to have everything you could want (including a Wal-mart). The only down side is the traffic noise which is not bad enough to keep us awake at night but can be heard. Also there is a railway just behind the park but we heard a train only once, so it's not much of an issue. It is a Passport America park but only for one night. We stayed two nights so we had to pay full cost for the second night ($44.00 CDN). - cachencouple

Aug 2014 - $55.00
For staying 2 nights @ $55/night we were given "the best site" overlooking the water. It was very small and difficult to enter with others parked so closely. The electric was not even 30 amps and we were not allowed to run AC at 95 degrees. We were gladly given a complete refund and we went on our way to a Provincial Park. - LeslieF
Sep 2007 - $29.00
Older park which needs an upgrade. Electrical plugs were 15 amp and voltage suspect as my converter hummed more than usual. Access to marina and small beach by crossing a railway track, although only heard one train while there. Access road fairly steep so no good for big rigs. - Onemoretrail

Lovely shaded campground in excellent location: 1 block from town and next door to fairgrounds. Interior road is a little tight, but it works. Most sites are back in, but there are several pull thrus. Very friendly campground hosts. - readontheroad

Back after several years. Park has expanded with upgraded washrooms. Small and compact with friendly hosts. Very nice municipal park close to downtown Armstrong. It has always been a pleasure to visit this park and it has just gotten better. - flugelboneman

A little gem in the City of Armstrong with good services. Not very big, but great if you like to tour around in the day time. Swimming pool right across the road, with a huge park, and the exhibition grounds behind the RV Park. We would stay here again. Great managers - Snoet

Nightly stay $32 Cdn. (did not book on-line). We've stayed at Fintry a number of times and always enjoyed it. This is the first time that we camped in the new loops though. The second loop (51-75) is partly shaded on the perimeter sites and fully exposed in the interior. If it's a typical Okanagan summer day, you'll want shade. The third loop (76-100) is almost all in the open. I recommend the first loop (1-50). It is more established and better lake access with 1-13A right on the waters edge. Also, in the first loop, is the only playground for the kids. Fintry is a delta so it's completely flat, great for bicycling. If you're energetic, climb the 300+ stairs to the falls. Well worth the effort. The boat launch was closed due to high water but we were allowed to launch our kayaks from the shore. My only gripe is the $12 extra for having an extra vehicle. If you don't want to pay, you'll have to park outside the Park's gate. Also, the extra fee charged per day to book on-line, puts the cost close to full-service campground prices. - HowieS82
Sep 2016 - $32.00
This is a very nice provincial park that is very busy during the summer season. It has sites that are in the shade and sites in the sun. Several sites are right on the lake which is good if you have a boat. There is a modern boat ramp and dock. There are a few pull-through sites that should accommodate the largest of RVs. The road down from Westside road is a bit steep and windy but if you take it slow you should have no problems. Westside road itself is also a bit windy, but again take it slow and it's not a problem. We will be back. - cachencouple

Things have changed since we stayed here a few years ago. The sites are still rough and either grass or gravel, and there are still no sewer hook ups, but they now have Shaw Go WiFi available. The rifle range located across the creek seems to be having more usage, which was very upsetting for our dog, and a house on the other side of the creek has two large dogs that sound like they are attacking something every time someone passes by their house (at all hours of the day or night). The hosts are very accommodating and helpful, but because of the noise we would avoid going back. It might be OK for a one night stop over. - Snoet
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Quiet, spotless, great location and town, awesome value, and the two managers were friendly, helpful, professional, always around, and obviously took pride in the campground. Quality people in every way! We were planning to stay four days and ended up enjoying ten fantastic days! My recommendation is a definite YES! - Doug Geiger
Jul 2014 - $25.00
We reserved here, expecting water/30 amp hookup, to discover that the park had been overbooked, and we could get 15 amp connection at a distance, and water shared with the next site (because the person who took our reservation didn't communicate with the hosts, and a family reunion had been booked for all sites a year ahead). We chose to fill our fresh water tank and had sufficient for our stay, and our nightly rate was reduced from $29. The hosts were great, the campground was tidy, washrooms clean. It's a little rustic and lacks the convenience of wi-fi, but overall it was a nice place to stay. - Peg.Garry

Aug 2017 - $20.00
We needed a place to stop as we were one day early for our reserved site in Vernon. We saw the sign for Tim's but could not see the park so we headed on it. Access from highway 97 is good. We were met at the entrance by the owner and were told to pick a spot and he would be by later on to collect payment etc. Check in was quick and pleasant. FYI we did notice a sign that said the park was "rustic". Interior roads were packed gravel. No ruts or pot holes to worry about. Foliage could have been cut back in some spots but there were no over hanging branches or serious obstructions. We expected to see a number of sites that were "by the river" but saw only one but it was taken. No surprise. There were a number of site options. There were pull throughs that could accommodate 45 footers but they were quite narrow. There were some odd shaped back ins. Some deep and some shallow. All spaces had good privacy. Most appeared fairly level. We chose 13. It was a wide, grassy, long enough for our coach and tow, back in spot. There were no close neighbors. That's pretty much the end of the "I'm okay with the rustic part". This park has potential but the operator either doesn't have the drive or the money to invest in making this a very very nice stop over. The Salmon River does run along side. The sites that exist beside the river need to be opened up and it looks like there might be ten or so. Brush needs to be cut back and a lot of garbage and scrap metal that has just been tossed into the bush needs to be removed. Add even just Power, Water and a Dump Station would make this a viable attraction. Right now the place is a dump. The owner's large cur dog wanders freely, there is a fire ban in place but we noted two camp fires burning. There is ONE outhouse and a make shift solar shower that is just ugly and dirty. No one bothers with rules. We paid $20.00 (cash only) and will never be back. - Rollin Ollens

Repeat stay for us: best feature is the city bus stop right outside park entrance! Easy and cheap access to Kelowna area without moving (and parking!) motorhome in crazy summer traffic. Little beachfront is sheltered by boat docks and family-friendly, but better is the beachfront regional park 400m down the road. Local amenities and accessibility, along with reliable full service sites compensate for shoe-horn spaced sites. - Segris
Apr 2016 - $35.00
This park has lake front RV sites and lake access for all sites, boat rentals, swimming, playground for kids and excellent wifi.
We were there for 10 days in April so although busy, lots of space. We have also been there in the summer months when it is extremely busy and very crowded.
Great family park. - absnowbird
Jun 2015 - $40.00
Packed in. Regretfully, most Okanagan Valley campgrounds are like this. Barely big rig friendly because of tight turns, many vehicles, etc. Campground was poorly maintained ... roadways were dusty, grass needed to be mowed, trees needed to be trimmed, undergrowth needed to be thinned out, etc. No place to walk/exercise dogs. No pride. Marina and beach would be positives. Wifi decent. Lots of potential but obviously not much incentive to improve. Definitely would not stay here again. - WinnMac
