There are very limited restrooms. The main attraction to this park are the phenomenal views!! Easy signage on the road. It is gated. Fairly close to Whistler. Good value for US dollar. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

So many things to do in Whistler but the maps aren't very good in the village. Nothing is alphabetical, so you can't find a specific place by looking at the directory. Groceries are expensive. Gas is more expensive than in the US, so fill up before coming. Train wreck trail is neat but the signage is bad so get explicit instructions. Ancient Cedars trail is ok but the road getting to it is full of potholes because the ATV tours use that road.

This is a park that fails to live up to it's potential. Hard packed dirt interior roads are dusty and in incredibly bad condition. Numerous large deep pot holes are impossible to avoid and make driving unpleasant. Towing a trailer just adds to the misery. This is bear country with numerous signs warning not to leave food out. When we arrived on Saturday afternoon the bear proof dumpsters were stuffed full. By the next morning bags of garbage had been deposited on the ground around them. They were still present on Monday morning. It doesn't look like staff has mowed or trimmed any of the grass in any of the sites this season. Full timers with cluttered sites are off putting. ORV's (muffled & unmuffled) are permitted to operate freely in the park. If you are lucky enough to get one of the rim sites, (all back ins) your view of the valley will be spectaular. Pull throughs don't enjoy the same vista. Park staff/management do not make much of an effort, and the park condition reflects this. This park could easily be an 8-9 if shown some effort & love. With that said, there is not much to choose from in the area. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to request a "rim" site.

Brandywine falls was spectacular. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola was fun and worth the expense. We only saw one gas station in Whistler, so keep that in mind. If you're driving a MH without a "dingy" nothing is close and parking in Whistler is cramped.

This is a really tough park to rate. The good: The view is absolutely incredible from the RV sites. There is no privacy between sites but at least there is adequate spacing. There are endless outdoor activities to do in the area and Whistler Village is less than 20 minutes away. The bad: We were here during the busy summer season so the place was constantly full of the weekend "woo-hoos." You know, the folks with their quads and dirt bikes that have to rev their engines as they go from their sites to the off-road trails, and then stay up partying untl 1 AM. Honestly folks, can't you just go camp out in the woods? Also, NOBODY can drive under 35 kmh in the park (the speed limit is 10 kmh) so there was a constant cloud of dust. And the worst offenders were the park staff!
I would come back again in the off season just never again during the busy season. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are only two RV parks in the area, this one and Riverside which is in town. In my opinion, Whistler RV is the better choice for a camping experience. Riverside RV is connected to Whistler's excellent bike trail system and is the better location for visiting Whistler Village, although their sites are a bit tight.

First impressions are important but not necessarily final. Upon arrival at 1:00 pm, we found the Whistler RV Park locked up with a local phone number to call. Thank heavens for OnStar since our Verizon cell phones had no service. After a 5 minute wait, a stoic attendant opened the office and confirmed our reservation.

Our pull-thru spot at the far end of the RV park was gravelly but fairly level. Water pressure was somewhat low but useable. Electricity was steady and wi-fi was very good for a wide open facility. Satellite users had no trouble in gaining a signal. Also, the numerous RVs had an acceptable 25 feet of separation between units. Each site had a crude fire ring, with many users opting to create their own fire area or to use a rented fire bowl.

If you like get-away-from-it-all forested camping, Whistler RV Park is a fabulous location. A late September reservation, of course, runs the risk of inclement weather; it rained every day of our stay. Interestingly, the rainy weather did not deter the numerous off-road quad users as they sped through the park to their various (wet) destinations.

All things considered, we enjoyed our stay and the park's close proximity to both Whistler and Squamish. If we visit the area again, we'll chose a drier season. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This provides a long row of facing sites with zero privacy, though one side gives a fabulous view to mountains. It was full due to there being a major endurance event taking place in Whistler, which is some miles away. Very limited facilities and the most expensive of 26 sites we stayed at by $20+ per night over the average (hence low rating - if it had been $38 it may have got a 7). We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Absolutely fantastic location! We drove from Vancouver to Whistler RV Park & stayed for a night. Magnificent view with nice elevation. Super quiet environment, friendly reception, clean wash room and free WiFi. Got 4 bicycles to roam-around (free). You call them and they'll deliver your wood logs in a Jiffy. I'll rate this No.1 overall in my experience. Will definitely go back! We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

For a Wilderness campground this is very nice. All the utilities work great. Sewer is at back of site, so it was a stretch for the way we wanted to set up camp. Satellite works great (Direct) and the view is amazing. Still a shuttle into town. You are 500 feet above the highway so you can barely hear it or the trains. When you arrive, don't be scared of the road, it is steep but paved and you will go about 1/2 mile to get to the campground (remember you are climbing up to it). But you won't regret it. Sad that even though it is early season this place is pretty empty. Get in your Rig and get up here, you will love it. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

For fairly remote and basic camping this is great park with friendly staff and awesome views. Good wide sites, new fast WiFi throughout the park, new shower block which we didn't use. Trees are not mature yet, so no shade except for the tent area. We would certainly use this campsite again. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

First time here and loved it. Phoned late on a Saturday and was totally accommodated . Arrived around 8 pm and got a back in site with a view of the valley. Sites were large and good. Staff friendly and happy to help at anytime. Park is upgrading by adding more trees between sites, and offer a shuttle to the village . We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflex Passport America rate with HRT. We had a great time visiting the beautiful town of Whistler. The scenery at the RV Park makes up for not having TV or Wi-Fi at your site. Relax and enjoy the view, life is too short. Very pleasant staff. We would recommend this RV Park to everyone. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Whistler RV park was a lovely new campground with great views of Black Tusk Mountain. We loved the tranquil location and the tenting sites set within the forest. The bathrooms were clean and heated, and the hot showers were free. No running out of quarters while you're covered in soap! This is a new park so even though it doesn't have a pool or a playground yet, it's rates are extremely competitive, especially for the Whistler area. The free Wi-Fi internet access was exceptional and the staff helpful and friendly. All in all a great stay and we'd definitely return! We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
