This is primarily an effort to create a community of families with RVs who own the individual lots, but they do have spots for short term and overnight camping. It is set in a small flat river valley with low mountains around and abundant elk and deer. The place promises to be open year round for summer and winter sports but we only one other camper. The overnight spots are directly across from the very nice new super clean washrooms. Sites are level, exceptionally wide and long (our 60 foot rig had plenty of room to spare) with well packed gravel and grass with picnic tables. Nothing separating the lots for privacy, however. We may have been the first overnighters to arrive that season because we set up as per the directions on the front office wall and only later did the pleasant and friendly owner come by to open the washrooms, say hello, and collect his fee. We paid in cash and he gave us a substantial discount “because it's too cold to charge full price”. $30 is their posted fee. The place is directly off Highway 3 but since this is a country highway, not an interstate, the traffic noise was minimal. There are train tracks across the narrow Moyle river from the campground. I heard three trains over 24 hours. There was no internet but we picked up a password protected WIFI signal from nearby so it must be available with some carriers. We were told Telus works here. My FIDO/Rogers phone got no signal. Be sure to use a pressure regulator on your hose and watch for elk poop. We really liked this isolated campground in mountains and we will absolutely stop again. We camped at Hay U Ranch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
