I'm adjusting my review from March 2018. We had been staying in this park for almost a year with our 2 dogs. In April we were given 30 days to get out or get rid of one of our dogs. One of our dogs barked at someone, and yes she was on a leash and controlled. We had not had any prior issues. Needless to say we left the park. We were not going to get rid of our pet that we've had for 8 years. The park itself is decent. We were lucky enough to have a nice wide site. It fit our 40 ft. MH and we were able to fit our Jeep if parked sideways in front of the coach. We could also fit another car on the side next to the MH. I'm not sure about the electrical problems unless it has to do with the solar panels that were just installed, we didn't have any issues while we were there other than the power being shut off during the installation (which we were notified of in advance). I have to agree with other posters that the office staff is horrible. You have to move every 6 months. We had told the office on 2 occasions that we wanted to hold a site as we knew the people were leaving. They said they would put our name on it and twice they gave it away to someone else. It reminded me of high school. If you're not in the "clique" then they are rude and not helpful. There is no dog area or playground and the "store" is very small. I wouldn't really call it a store. Laundry room only takes quarters and you need to get them at the office. No change machine. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Not much to do around here. There is a small market in town but prices are high. For major shopping, Palmdale is about 15-20 minutes away.

Concrete terraced parking lot. Over nighters and short term are sandwiched in, not enough room for our 37' trailer and dually, we are sticking out into the road. Monthly spots look like they have more room, difficult to get around your trailer once your slides are out. Worst problem is spiking 133 volt electricity-I've lost this review once already when the power went out. Our coach shuts down to protect itself. We had no power from 11pm to 7:30 this morning, this is expensive dry camping. Office said it was normal..NOT...my brother and father are electricians. The office said they need to keep it high for when all the AC's kick in...it's not AC weather yet. Some poor fools are damaging their appliances, stove and microwaves, as well as water heaters if their coach does not have high voltage protection, many do not. Our DRV has this protection. They didn't seem to care at the office, said it was within normal limits...sigh... We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ingress and egress were easy. We had no trouble moving through the park. Even with our big truck and trailer we had no problems there. The park is on a hillside so the spaces were terraced. Our problem came when we pulled into our site. I don't believe it was just our site as they all looked to be about the same size. Our trailer has 4 slides. Unless we pulled clear to the front of the site, the pedestal interfered with bringing our slides out. So we pulled off the concrete pad (others had obviously done likewise) to give enough clearance to extend the slides on the off-door side. Once we were unhitched, then came the problem of where to put our truck. Even had we stayed hitched, we would have extended into the road. So, the site was not even 65 feet long. We called the office to find what to do with the truck, since it would not fit onto our site. The woman we talked to sounded like it was such a trial to deal with two women who didn't know to park in overflow and where that lot could be. We will probably not go back because there just isn't room for us. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 6+ months. Nicest park in the area. They have a pool/spa, restrooms/showers, laundry and small exercise room. The only reason I didn't give them a "10" rating is there is no dog area. There are some gravel/dirt areas for dogs. They used to have the back area of the office open as a "dog run" but closed it in last year and haven't reopened it. The nightly rate is estimated as we use the monthly rate which is $800.00 and includes electric. Some sites are concrete, some are gravel. Our site was wide enough to park our vehicle on the side and also have some patio furniture/bbq. Sites have very little shade and are not very level. Sites in the monthly side are wider but further from the laundry/pool/restrooms. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed two times at this campground. Very convenient to highway. Clean and well maintained. Sites are paved and open. Kind of close to your neighbor but not too bad. Didn't use it but pool area was nice. Has a very small exercise room where I only used the treadmill. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Freeway friendly and within distance or Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and Magic Mountain. Also cultural destinations. Sites are tight, but "do-able" Clean and efficient. Front office staff is awesome, you can get your mail here for free. The WiFi is awesome, streaming is no problem. They have put up solar panels skirting the resort. The pool and spa is great (and clean) as are the laundry and restrooms. Friendly campers here. Highly recommended! We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Solar being added around perimeter. Workers started am, including drills and beeping man lifts. Nice enough place. Good electric volts, good water pressure. Dog run was closed, and appeared small. No cable. Spotty OTA. Saw many using satellite. Wifi was spotty, used cell instead. AT&T was acceptable with booster. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this RV Park several times and find it to be just fine. The park is on a hill. You do pay a deposit for a gate card of $25, but if you return it, you get your money back. There are no nearby services, but Palmdale is 6 miles down the road with everything. The one thing I had trouble finding was a grocery store, but did find a great Smart and Final that had everything I needed. Views of the mountains are great. Tips for other Campers:

Agua Dulce rock park is a very nice day trip. Just down the road. It is used for movies and TV. There are several movie lots out here, and the trip up Angeles Crest Highway is lovely. That is a full day. Lots of restaurants and fast food in Palmdale, a quick 6-minute drive. Santa Clarita is close by, and Magic Mountain is not far. We will definitely be staying here again. This is our 3rd or 4th time, and we love the area, the view, and the park.

Very hot park! No shade and our RV was facing east so the side where we sit outside was totally in the afternoon sun. Sites very close together. No cable or broadcast TV reception. Our Verizon phones did work and we used our cellular service for streaming. Other reviews mentioned the "view." Yes you can see the hills in the Angeles Forest but you can also see the freeway! I have had way better views in other parks! As mentioned by others, park entrance is on a hill. We parked on the street to disconnect our tow vehicle. No picnic table or patio area. Overall Rating:

Conveniently located just off SR14 a few miles south of Palmdale, this park has mostly full hookup pull-thru sites with a concrete site pad and a gravel or dirt patio, although the sites are a bit narrow since they are built up a steep hill and have an upgrade between the sites. No picnic table. There is what appears to be an older section that has more mature trees that provide some shade for these sites but we were in the section that has much smaller trees, no shade. There is a relatively large pool and excellent WiFi, although in order to connect you must ignore a security warning about their expired certificate. This should be corrected. The only real complaint I would mention is that the bathrooms were not being cleaned daily when we were there. The floor was quite dirty on many occasions and the door could use a new coat of paint (or replacement). We paid $37.85 per night on a weekly rate. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Motorhome.

As another reviewer mentioned, you do stop on a hill to check in or you can stop in the space in the street. The park is on a steep hill with terraced sites. Office staff is very friendly. Shorter term people are usually in the first three rows while the many longer term make up the remainder of the large park. The roads are paved and the sites are a mix of paved, gravel and dirt. Not much landscaping between sites and because the hills are steep, so are the site edges. Our site was long enough for our 38 ft fifth wheel and HDT with barely enough space for the Jeep. There are two parking areas in the park as well. The sites are pretty narrow. We stayed for a month and the $775 included electric. The wi-fi actually worked fairly well. We were in the park to visit family and were often gone for several days at a time with no concerns about leaving our rig. Verizon phone was fine but we did wander between 3 and 4g. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here on this visit to Antelope Valley rather than going to the Fairgrounds, hoping for some shade. They do have trees, but they are young and small. The sites are all pull through's just long enough for my 26'trailer and truck. Sites are level, but my slide extends over the uphill side, so I cannot get to my utilities until I retract the slide. My biggest complaint is no cable TV, and the over-air is very sketchy at best. No picnic table. The Internet works, but is pretty slow. They have a nice pool and hot tub area. The park is super clean and our site was level and plenty large enough for our 23' travel trailer. The view of the surrounding hills is beautiful. While Hwy 14 was very close the traffic noise was minimal. One reviewer mentioned the workout room did not have much equipment and while I didn't check out the room I did walk up and down the hilly streets and it was a great workout. I noticed lots of people doing this daily. We used this as our base to explore L.A. from and while it was an hour's drive to get there it didn't feel too far. We would stay there again. This is probably the nicest RV park in the area. The sites are OK, but they vary in quality. The biggest problem is that the park's website indicates that they offer more than they actually do. No cable TV. Very poor wifi. Minimal exercise room with old equipment. No picnic table. Etc. Lots of long term RVers, though the spaces are kept nice. So, it's actually a pretty basic park without a lot of extras. Great for a short stay. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

LOCATION: on a hillside above CA-14. Some freeway noise if you're outside, but not bothersome, and barely audible if you're in your rig. Nice views of surrounding mountains. Generally quiet park with mostly higher-end RVs. You're out of the big city, but it's still accessible - although it will take about 45-60 minutes to get into central LA or Pasadena, or more if traffic is bad. Not much in the way of shopping or restaurants in Acton, but there are many choices in Palmdale, about 8 miles away. BIG RIG ACCESS: very good through the park itself. Most sites are pull-thrus. Turns getting into and out of sites can be tight, especially with overhanging branches, but management will trim them if needed. SITES: average width; you're not right up against your neighbors, but you are close enough that their rigs mostly block your view. Long enough (just barely) to park our truck in front of rig. Very level, even though park is on a hillside. Some sites are all concrete, some have concrete pads with adjacent grass strip, and some are gravel, so ask when you make your reservation. Many sites have trees at one end or the other or both. CONNECTIVITY: strong wifi signal throughout the park, but their connection to internet seemed poor. Wifi frequently disconnected. We had to rely on our Verizon hotspot most of the time. Verizon and AT&T signals weak but usable. MANAGEMENT: Excellent. Some of the friendliest and most responsive folks you'll ever meet. Any concerns we had were addressed promptly. VALUE: at $775 per month (electricity included), it's a good value considering the area. We stayed one month + four days, three of them at Passport America rate ($23) and the last with a Good Sam discount ($40). OVERALL: This is an excellent park, and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. The main disadvantage is the distance from LA if you want to do in-city activities. We camped at The Californian RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
