We stayed here for 2 nights. Site was spacious. Hookups worked fine. Grounds were clean. Restrooms could be better with a sink. Location is good. Everything seemed right until returning back from 12 hours at Disney to find our airstream infested with ants. Upon looking for the source, we found the entire gravel pad under the trailer was a massive ant nest. They came up the hookup cable and hoses, the tires, the jacks. We literally spent the next 3 days killing ants. The morning after finding this we reported it to the manager. His response was 'ya. Oh well.' I would not recommend this place after that experience, which not only ruined our time in Anaheim, but ruined the rest of our trip. Beware. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you're visiting the Los Angeles area, there are limited choices for parking your RV. This one is in Anaheim right on the 91 freeway about 8 miles west of Corona, CA. It is adjacent to a wilderness area along the Santa Ana River and a paved bike path that follows the river. However, the freeway is busy 24/7 so be aware that you will have road noise. The RV park is large with lots of trees and open space. Driveways are asphalt and site pads are either gravel or asphalt. I had an asphalt back in site with full hookups (50 amp electric). It was a large site with a picnic table, fire ring and plenty of space to park my car. Bathrooms are OK, didn't use showers. There is no internet service. I paid $42.85 per night based on a weekly rate with senior discount. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is beautiful! Lots of grass, trees, & the Santa River runs right through it. Paved roads for a great morning walk. Also the bike path goes right through here. Very friendly and helpful staff. You can stay 6 months but must leave for a week, then you can return. Pets are a $1.00 a day. The only complaint is the freeway noise. Yet not bad enough to make us leave. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Near Disney Land & Knott's Berry Farm. Lot's of shopping & grocery stores close. Costco very close too. Swimming pool and play grounds for the kids. Lots of room to run, walk, & play. There are several custom car shows on site in the park.

Nice stay we arrived and quickly checked in. Good and quick office work. We had space 139 near river. This is an urban campgound with a rural feel. Big space lots of trees river and natural areas for kids to explore. We were overnight for disney. We usual stay at one close by Disney ($110/nite). Here you can have a campfire, roast smores, and explore. Nice bike trail nearby too. Huge spaces with lots of room to maneuver rig. Will return. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice large sites. Didn't expect spacious sites like this in Orange County. The sites were pricey but this is expected in this area. There was a lot of park-like green area. They charged an extra dollar per day for each dog. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bathrooms were not clean - a deal breaker for us. Very nice, spacious site. Freeway noise an issue, but unavoidable. We witnessed the same dirty bathrooms for 3 days, so must believe that no one was cleaning them. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

We just got a new trailer and we decided to try out a local campsite for our inaugural adventure. We picked site #123. It backed up to the Santa Ana River and we had plenty of room around us. We loved looking out of the window and seeing the wilderness (and a part of the 91 freeway). I felt the hookups were really far back on the site; my water hose didn't reach. Luckily the office had a 50' hose and it wasn't a rip off. Ended up backing up the trailer some more the next day because the sewer hose wouldn't reach either. I guess I'm still learning.

The park was nice to stroll through with the dogs. There's a really cool rope course, benches along the river, access to the Santa Ana Bike Trail, and a classic car show on the Sunday we were there. We didn't use the pool. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overpriced, but is normal for SoCal. Nice setting right off 91, contrary to other reviewers the noise is not bad. Commuter traffic is however a nightmare. Gypsum Cyn Rd backs up hugely right in front of the driveway. Yes, lots of gophers. Sites are level & spacious. 15 miles from Disney. Would definitely stay here again despite the price. Let's get the 'bad' out of the way first. You read other reviews and think surely the road noise from the 91 freeway can't be that bad. Well... It kinda is, and it's 24/7. But then again, it's also white noise and quickly fades into the background - until a 'loud pipes save lives' type goes blasting down the highway, anyway. It's unfortunate, but is simply the inescapable nature of an urban campground bordering a freeway. The property appears to have lots of gophers, and gopher holes are everywhere. Not a big deal though, as long as you watch where you're stepping. Also: ants.

Now for the 'good'. The park was quite nice overall. Interior roads are kind of narrow, but easy to drive. The office staff was easy to work with and generally friendly, if a bit dispassionate. The site I had was easy to back into and reasonably level, and the gravel surface was evenly laid. The power podium could have used some maintenance simply due to wear-and-tear (not neglect), but supplied a solid 122V on both 50A legs all weekend. Water pressure was stable & good at ~45 psi.

Huge trees are everywhere, and the green spaces are nicely maintained. The play areas look nice, as does the swimming pool. The spray pool was closed this weekend, but I'm told it's only used during peak summer months. There are huge open spaces, plentiful shade trees and tons of room for special events like the Corgi meet-up & show that was there this weekend. AT&T cellular voice & data service was stable and excellent (LTE, 17 Mbps down / 6 Mbps up per Speedtest app on Apple IOS devices).

Overall I was happy with my stay here. It's not a quiet space, but is otherwise very nice and reasonably convenient to local attractions. I look forward to visiting again! We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Use of an insect repellent is advised. Take appropriate steps to minimize the chance of ants getting into your RV via tires/jacks/utility hookups/etc.

Pros - clean, table at each site, fire ring at each site, salt water pool and very clean, easy access to bike trail

Cons - not enough electricity during the day to run any appliances, had to run generator to keep food cold, car noise during the day is very noticeable, office staff is NOT friendly. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for long weekend, so that we could access Disneyland, without staying in a parking lot. We were impressed. From the site sizes, to the security, to the location, wooded and grassy.... All more than we could have hoped for. Tons for the kids to do. Splash pad area was not operating, but I do not know if this was a maintenance issue, or the weather. Bugs are pretty bad, but we were camping. Bring comet to keep the ants away. Lots of gnats. Front desk was helpful, we arrived late (close at 8) and we paid next morning after calling. We also had an issue with booking, where we showed that are stay was until Monday, they showed Sunday. Even though they were crowded - they worked with us and we stayed in same site! Very nice. We will return. Kids loved it. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have been staying at this park for the past 3 years each winter and really enjoy it. It is the best value RV park for the Orange County area of Southern California. Spaces are all back-in, gravel and do require some leveling, but they are long enough to handle big rigs and have adequate spacing so you do not feel cramped. It is fairly large park with many large trees, but they are well maintained and do no impact rigs. The park is next to the 91 freeway so road noise is constant. If you stay on the east side the noise is not as bad as you are farther down from the roadway. They do not have Wi-Fi or cable but most sites are satellite friendly and you will get a bunch of over the air channels. They do not offer a monthly rate unless you stay for 5+ months but their weekly rate is a great value. Shopping is close by and since it is near the freeway you have easy access to all the attractions in Southern California. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a good location for visiting the attractions in the area, It's close to a couple of feeder freeways to I-5, 210, 15. It's very easy to get to right of the 91. Check in was very quick and the office staff was friendly and helpful. It has a security gate which requires a card key for access to the park. This is a very large park with a lot of grass and open space. The RV sites are comfortably spaced and easy to get in and out of. The only real negative is that there is freeway noise day and night. We didn't spend much time at the park but did get a chance to walk the entire park with our dog. They have a gated pool and a large children's playground. I found the park to be very clean and well maintained. There are a few long term residents but they are spaced out and keep their sites clean. We would recommend this CG for anyone with rigs of any size. They do charge extra for dogs. We camped at Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
