The staff here are fabulous. It is a large park but mostly filled with long-term residence. They did have room for our large 40' rig but just barely. It was dirt/gravel nearly everywhere so not very fun for our toddler. The biggest downside to the park is the entrance. It is directly off the freeway so you have to pull into Hwy 101 on a blind curve and immediately merge into traffic (only going North). It is terrifying!! There is also no entrance from the Southbound 101 so you have to U-turn on the freeway! We decided to leave early simply because we didn't want to continue to take that risk. If it weren't for that, it would have been an OK place. Oh, and we did get two other residence come soliciting at our door to sell us DishTV. That has never happened anywhere else! This park is EXTREMELY difficult to find, especially at night. There are hardly any lights on the highway that it is off of and you must do a U-turn when coming from the north. Once you find the park you must cross a single lane bridge to get down to the main portion of it. Arrive early, they do not stay open late or leave information for you if they are closed. We arrived late in the evening and everything was closed up and we were left on our own to find a spot. This is very frustrating when you have paid in advance. There are MANY long term residents at this park, I would estimate about 75 percent of the spaces are taken up by people living there. The pool is closed and a murky green color. The spaces are small- to standard-sized but the roads are horribly small and the problem is compounded by people parking their extra vehicles on the small roads making it a tight squeeze for RVs. Everyone encountered though was very nice, and it was pretty quiet even though it was near the highway. We likely wont stay there again but in a pinch it is not bad for a quick overnight stay. There are only a few spaces available for the RVer passing through. Most of the sites are taken up by long-term units, many of which are run-down with expired registrations and surrounded by junk. The park is right next to the highway, and truck noise is significant day and night. However, the office personnel were friendly and refunded our second and third nights' payment when we told them we were unhappy with the accommodations and wanted to leave. This park has potential. Quite close to 101 so a little noisy. Nice shade trees. Swimming pool closed. Pull through site which was level. Office staff emphasized that there was no cable or wi-fi available. Large number of permanent residents with unkempt rigs. As an overnight this was OK. I wanted to like this park more than I did but it had it's drawbacks. No wifi, junk trailers scattered about the outer rim, half filled with permanent residents and traffic noise from the 101 can be loud at times. The upside is the restrooms and showers were very clean, there are some shady spots, its in a very arboreal setting and the camp hosts were quick and helpful. this park has a lot of potential with the right owner and a little attention to detail. This place is a dump! It's bad enough that it's right next to a noisy freeway but 90% of it is filled with permanent residents who obviously don't give darn about the conditions in which they live. It is obvious the management does not care about appearances. There is trash laying about and they do not seem to pick it up. Rather they blow it across the fence line onto anothers property or into a creek that borders the park. But it is still visible as you drive or walk about. While walking our dog we were treated to excessivly loud rock music coming from one of the resident inhabitants and our dog found a rotting hot dog on the ground to chew on, not to mention the close up views of cigarette butts, fast food wrappers and various other trash all over the place. Priceless! The next morning we were treated to a dust bath courtesy of the resident mow and blow guy. I bet he doesn't blow dirt all over his own rig! As a long time property manager I see alot of potential in this place, all that it needs is people with vision who care about the people who visit and take pride in the service they provide. But, I guess all they are after is a quick and easy dollar. We will not be staying here again. We camped at Monterey Vacation RV Park in a Motorhome.Undo
