This is a fine park. In walking distance to restaurants. The only drawback is that it is close to the freeway and there can be a lot of road noise in the early morning. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice park with wide asphalt roads, hard dirt pads, grass between the sites. The utilities are well placed and functioned as designed. Our site was just big enough for our coach and toad we did not unhook. River Run is far enough away from 99 so there is minimal noise, there is some railroad noise. Overall a nice park with easy access will stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice, clean park for overnight stays. Not very much to do in the area; however, if you need a well-kept and clean park to stay for a day or two, then this is definitely a great choice. Sites seem to be fairly level, hookups all function as expected, and there is ample room between campsites. Staff at the park are very pleasant and helpful. The only downside is that this resort is next to a "river", which is completely dry (through no fault of the RV park). Maybe there is water in the winter and spring? We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed at this resort for just one night as a stop over on our way home from Yosemite! Easy access to/from the freeway, spacious sites, clean property and nice amenities. We enjoyed the swimming pool and rec room, which was spacious with furnishings, game table for checkers/chess, and a large work station for a few people to connect laptops. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was one of the nicest, well maintained parks I've been in; period. We were only over-nighting, but if we get the chance we will happily return. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We used this park for an overnight stay, twice. We were working around doctor appointments. This park is well laid out. There is abundant grass. The restrooms are clean and well kept. Both times we stayed here, we called the day before and had no trouble booking a site. We had a back in site both times. We will stay here again when we need to rest overnight in Bakersfield. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Friendly check in. Roomy sites with grass in between. Your rig parks in the dirt and there is a concrete pad next to the sites. Plenty of room for our 40' 5th wheel and truck. I had no problem with the wifi. Nice pool. We had a "river" site - just know that the river is dry. We were only here for one night but would stay here again. Big rig friendly. Very clean with beautiful trees, grass, and landscaping. Roomy sites. Friendly accommodating staff. Nice pool and clubhouse that we used extensively to play games with our grandkids. Terrific fast Wi-Fi, even my 16 year old granddaughter said so! Costco nearby. We will stay here again when visiting our family. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This RV park is a bit of a surprise as you drive towards it, winding through an industrial area. Then making a turn, the road dead ends into the park. The park itself is nice and well maintained. The roads are paved and the sites have a concrete patio, but the sites themselves are packed DG (decomposed granite) and dirt. The grass is nice and green but in Bakersfield that means a lot of watering, almost every night. Since the sites are DG, some of them can get a bit muddy from the constant watering. There is a nice pool and spa area, a small exercise room had a few aerobic machines but it didn't get much use. It looked like there was a fair amount of longer term residents there, but their sites were mostly clean. The "River Run" name of the park is because it backs up to the Kern river. Unfortunately it is just a dry river bed right now, and looks like it has been that way for quite a while. We did use a walking trail out the back gate of the park that stretches along the river bank and goes for a few miles. If you wanted to you could cross the river bed to a city park on the other side. Probably the biggest issue I had with the park was it's proximity to highway 99 which was always busy day or night. It seemed particularly loud and night, and could be a bit intrusive if you are a light sleeper. We made sure to get a back in site, as the pull throughs are "Jack-n-Jill" style that we really don't care for. The park restrooms were nice and handicapped accessible. The park offered Wifi, but our on board Wifi worked OK but not great. We paid $44 a night and stayed 5 nights. The weather was pretty pleasant during our stay, but it can get scorching hot come July. One nice feature was that they didn't mind if you washed your RV, which I took advantage of. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overnight stay with after 5 PM arrival. Had no issues finding site. Clean restrooms and showers. Wish we had the code to the gates that led to the path by the river bed. WiFi was spotty at times but outstanding cable tv connection. If we had a bit more time we would have walked to one of the local establishments. This is like an oasis in the midst of a large commercial area, with several hotels visible among a sea of stores, businesses, and industrial buildings. A wall of jasmine lines the road, welcoming those entering the park and the scent is everywhere. Very nice! Lots of trees, the sites are good sized with grass and a concrete patio area. Pull through sites accommodate two RVs, either lengthwise or side by side, facing opposite ends of the space. There is a dry river behind the park, but no access to the rough path next to it. There is a nice pool and clubhouse. WiFi seems to be working very well. We are staying one night on our way to Sequoia, but would have no problem staying longer. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our go to stop when traveling south or east. We like the back-in sites along the river near the office. Short walk to restaurants, night-life. Really nice staff. Walk along the river is a must if you have a dog. Super clean - concrete and grass sites. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Black Angus Restaurant nearby - great happy hour prices. Check out the Bull Shed next door. Line dancing, Western style - sort of down home and cute - nothing fancy.

Very nice park. Very large sites with lots of grass. Trees are well trimmed so not in the way. Easy to get into sites even for 45 foot motorhome. Office staff was very friendly and efficient. Location was convenient right off Hiway 99. Easy in and out. Wifi was very strong in the site were in. The pool and hot tub looked clean. They also have a nice courtyard with tables and a barbecue area for guests to use. The sites are crushed gravel with a concrete patio area with a lot of grass between sites. Would definitely stay here again on our way North. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

We didn't have a reservation and when we called, they didn't have any openings. They were nice enough to offer to call if they got a cancellation and they did. We had a back in site that was long enough for our trailer and truck. All pads are concrete and level. Plenty of room in the park to maneuver. Facilities were very nice and very clean. Close to just about anything you need. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
