Price is right, but next to the freeway, noise all night. Restroom clean, showers were absolutely the worst we have ever experienced. Ground in grunge, not fresh grunge. Someone needs to clean them. Park is quiet, except for freeway, but don't expect a peaceful river scene. The park also backs up to a large industrial area. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

A hidden gem with great access to travel routes. We were in need of a place to stop for the night when we found this one in an internet search. It was conveniently located near the highway and the staff was more than helpful in finding room for us. The park is clean and well maintained and had room for our large RV to move around. We will definitely use this park in the future. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here while visiting family in Bakersfield. Overall park is maintained and clean. There is little shade if it's hot and sunny, but welcome to the SJV. Staff was friendly. Has pool and hot tub. Sits on the riverbank just a short distance off the hwy. Is in a quiet and secure area, long terms units are well kept at this time. Only complaint, is the wifi is fore the most part non existent. There is a good signal but very small band width. Plan on using your own hot spot for any needs. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautifully landscaped park, lots of grass between sites. Back -in sites can be found along the river. You can access the river by a gate, good for walking your dog or just yourself. The park is largely just one big loop with a blacktopped street also good for walking your dog. They do have a pool and washrooms and a laundromat. The bad part is how close you are to your neighbors in the pull-through sites. The back-ins are farther apart. The pull-throughs are 2 RVs to a site, one pulls in one way the other one pulls in the other way so you are sewer to sewer. Unfortunately that means you are front door to front door with the next two sites over and because you are so close if they are sitting outside when you exit your rig you are practically in their laps. There is a small extra charge for pets. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate at Bakersfield Pizza Co & Bar. Excellent food. You can smell them cooking if you are in the Home Depot next door. That is how we found it. We recommend the Garlic Bombs & the Ricky Tony Pizza. If you are lucky Bryan will be your server. He was a wealth of information on the area as well as food choices.

First time here. Entry to the site in industrial area, but very pleasant after the gate. Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. A lot bigger once you get in. Very nice setting. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Site surface was level and more of a roadase with concrete curbs. Hookups are near the rear, but did not require extensions on my 36ft rig

Very easy to find and you wouldn't know you were right off Hiway 99. No road noise very quiet park. All the back in sites have grass on both sides. Im 65' with my toad and still had room in front and behind. Kern River was just 100 yards or so from our site. Great service and very nice park. Great little park tucked in along the river in Bakersfield. Quiet, well designed, with grass and trees. We had a 60'+ pull-thru that was level and had easy access to the hook-ups. We arrived early, and the park was very accommodating in letting us check in two hours before the posted check-in time. The pool is small but well maintained, and provided an excellent chance to cool off on a very hot day in Bakersfield. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We really enjoyed our stay here at the River run rv park here in Bakersfield. This is a great place for just about anyone coming through the area. The sites were nice and spacious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. All of the facilities are very well maintained despite the park being 10 years old. The location feels a little odd, in that it feels close to the freeway as well as what appears to be a water treatment plant, but there was no highway noise, or smell. The fact that many of the sites back up to the river was a real plus. For those of you with dogs such as Pit Bulls, German Shepherds and Rottweiler's, just know, they do not allow Aggressive dogs at their park. We will definitely return here in the future. This is a great park, wide roads, grass at every site, cement patio, easy in and out and hook-ups where they should be. Only negative is close to freeway and there is some noise. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of the cleanest parks ever, lots of room between rigs with lawn in the middle. Didn't like the pull-thru's, they're tandem and close together. Much better if you disconnect and use a back-in site. We didn't expect to see a park this nice and immaculate so close to the heart of the business district but it's very nice. A big bonus is river access with a long place to run the dogs outside the fence with 2 gates for access. Only a couple of blocks from Costco or restaurants, right near the intersection of 58 and 99. We'd stay here again, especially for an overnighter. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here a few times on our way to Yosemite and like the location off the freeway. Last year the river was a dry river bed and now after the much needed rain in California it's now a flowing river like the first time we've been here. The facilities are clean and the people are nice. It's spacious enough between our neighbors unlike other places we've been to which were too close to your neighbors. They have over flow parking, grassy area with gravel and dirt level parking with a cemented padding for lounge chairs. We have no problem with the wifi or cable tv. You can walk along the river and it's also close to restaurants. We'll be back soon. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Cabin.

We spent 2 nights here. I was cheerfully greeted at check in and given verbal directions to site as well as a map. Common area and pool are very clean. Sites are relatively level gravel with a concrete patio slab and picnic table. Easy access on and off highway. We will stay here when we go south again.
