Perfect option for a stop off if your traveling from Northern to Southern California. Right off the freeway with easy in and out. Long sites easy to get in and out of. We have a 39' motorhome and pull a 4 door Wrangler. I was able to stay hooked up. Sites are level. Only complaint would be the decomposed granite in the sites. It gets everywhere in the rv. It's across the street from a Camping World. Staff is very friendly they even escort you to your site at check in. Food was pretty good at the onsite restaurant. Plus they have a bar! We would stop here again in a heartbeat. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed in. If we are going the "I-5" route through California this is a must stop park. The sites are long, clean, well cared for. The only issue is the hook-ups are near the end of the site, so bring a long sewer line of park the road in front of the RV. The staff is very friendly, someone guides you to your site and can help hook up if you need it. The on-site restaurant is excellent, reasonably prices and offers a 10% discount for residents. Showers and restrooms are always spotless. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lots to do in Bakersfield, but our favorite is the museum at the edge of town. It consists of historic buildings outfitted to resemble a small, pioneer community, with things like a doctor's office, photo shop etc etc.

Overall a nice park. I'd made advance registration and requested big site for my 45' fiver. First site, completely filled, no room for truck, couldn't open slides without getting into trees. Sent me to another site, no better. Sent me to another section of the park, no better. Finally, sent me to an area with long pull through. Much better but we still can't put our awnings out all the way due to ill placed trees.

Pool is nice and restaurant is good. Went to laundry and most of the machines, washers and driers, were unusable due to dog hair in the machines. I tried to like this place but it has not been a good experience, especially for their rates. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a great place to stay, and I'd stay here again. They have a person guide you to your spot. There was plenty of room for my trailer and tow vehicle in the spot. There is a restaurant and store on the premises. The bathroom and showers were clean. It is near grocery stores, etc., too. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The young man who escorted us drove very fast - and drove through our pull through site and was gone in a flash. He failed to tell us that towing a car you could not connect to utilities as they are all at the back of the site, so the car had to come off so I could back up. Nice idea a small trash basket on the utility pole - bad idea the beer bottle that was in my basket when I checked in was still there 2 days later. Note the majority of the sites do not have picnic tables. The parking surface was what I would call sand mixed with clay - and tracked into the motor home. Over all the park is overrated by Good Sam. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

There are 2 primary draws to this park for us. The first is that a Costco is located a little further down Panama where we gas up. The second is the on site restaurant, 'The Crest'. The park's in-town location on a multilane street makes for easy access form the 99, (come in from the north to avoid navigating a left turn thru a single lane bordered by concrete curbs), but also guarantees lots of traffic noise. Staff is always great. Given its suburban southern Central Valley location it is a beautiful park. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Have stayed here numerous times and I have to say that this latest was a bit disappointing. Site maintenance is lax (debris, power post very loose, gravel is turning to fine sand which tracks everywhere) Concrete or pavement would be a big improvement. Earwigs were crawling around everywhere. The highly touted and once very, very good WiFi was miserably slow and intermittent (and this is at site 117 which is close to the main building and a WiFi tower). Playground is now just a slide, which was disappointing to the grandkid. Some of the food at the Crest restaurant onsite was pretty poor (shrimp scampi, fish and chips) and some was good (steaks). The servers were fantastic (Sarah and Dianne) Tow vehicles were sticking out into the road everywhere making it hard to maneuver. Even the escort said we needed to take the long way around to our site due to all the vehicles parked in the roadways. The picnic table onsite was was pretty sad...completely falling apart. Probably won't stay here again, with all the excellent choices elsewhere. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean park. The roads are paved with gravel sites and a concrete pad. There is a nice restaurant and small store at the resort. There is some railroad noise at one end of the park and some road noise along the main road side. We would stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I can't tell you how much we appreciated finding Bakersfield RV Resort! We ended up there after a couple of days driving through excessive heat advisories and some desolate landscapes with dust, parched earth and little to no shade. It was SO nice to pull into such a wonderful, level, clean resort like this. It really is first class! We took advantage of the wonderful restaurant and went back to our RV happy and cooled off with full bellies! We were driving a 25' motorhome with a tow vehicle (42' over-all) and were escorted to our ample, pull thru site with FHU. This is definitely big rig friendly. We had no trouble finding south for our DirecTV satellite dish. Our 2 doodles appreciated the sporadic patches of grass. We were just there for an overnight, but if ever we find ourselves in Bakersfield again, we would not even look at other places to stay. The amenities...massages, pool, fitness center were unused by us, but would be a welcome treat next time. We paid $45.90 total (Good Sam, FMCA, etc) We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The spaces were compacted gravel and a bit narrow, considering the pedestals are placed on the edge of the spaces instead of in the grass separators. However, they are long enough that we didn't have to disconnect a towed vehicle for an overnight stay (we have a 43' MH). Interior roads are well laid out and wide enough to maneuver with confidence. An escort in a golf cart will guide you to your spot. It was very hot during our overnight stay, but the park power kept up with all the demand. The pool was great and the staff obviously take care of the facility. Location is in the heart of town, but barely heard any road noise overnight. We will return for overnight trips through the area. We stayed here for to teach a morning NRVIA session a 5-day RV Maintenance Tech Course and to teach a 5-day NRVAI advanced RV inspector training class. We were granted use of their rally facility which was adequate for our needs. While there the temperatures hit 103 degrees so the park management allowed us to use an air conditioned room to help the RV inspectors not melt. LOL We would stay again if traveling through the area. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Check-in with reservation was smooth and efficient, friendly staff even at quitting time. The gentleman in cart who lead us to our site, was helpful. Park was quiet and very neat, trash containers in alcoves are frequent. Dog friendly bags are numerous, although the main pet area is out front by the road. This was not an issue as the neighborhood is fine, nice sidewalks, grass and ample lighting at night. The pool, restrooms, and laundry were very nice, neat and very well kept. Showers had good hot water and pressure. Private shower stalls were a tad small but OK and numerous. Pool was nice but we didn't use it or the modern gym equip., although others were. Park was precision but large coach friendly. We will stay here again on next migration. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice precision urban RV park, immaculately groomed. We ordered in food from the in-house Bistro at 9pm on a Sunday evening. The menu is ample. The food was delivered to our coach by a friendly gentleman promptly. It was hot and delicious, Vegetables steamed perfectly, meats just right, peach cobbler w/ice cream. The food was a pleasant surprise. Diesel fuel near by as was a Camping World down the street.

Big-rig friendly, stayed here in a 43' motorhome plus tow. Close to grocery, Costco, Camping World. Easy drive to restaurants, downtown, mall shopping. Had peach cobbler at the on-site restaurant & it was excellent. Some sites have shade, particularly the back in sites. Sites are level. Friendly, helpful staff. We asked for a picnic table and the staff delivered one to our site. Would stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.
