Very acceptable overnighting spot close to both I-15 and I-40 in Barstow. Family-run, and the two sons and father were all extremely accommodating and helpful getting us settled. One of the sons will lead you to your spot so you can get utilities connected and the A/C running before going back to the office to register and pay. Quiet at night. Utilities were all functional. Dirt sites with a strip of concrete outside for patio. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a 45' Class A - towing a 2013 F-150 pickup. We were here for three nights, lots to see and do within 125 miles. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

One of the sons will lead you to your spot so you can get utilities connected and the trailer A/C running before going backing to the office to register and pay. Quiet at night. The sites are somewhat close with only a few small trees for shade. Utilities were all functional. Dirt sites with a strip of concrete outside for patio, which I guess would be useful if it ever rains in Barstow. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This was just what we needed. Nice level lots, they were kind and drove us over to our lot, showers and bathroom were clean. Park host was very nice. We had a breakdown on our way, and when we called to let them know they were great to hold our lot. We're very helpful giving us directions to where we needed to go. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Close to 95 North; Small park with pull through sites big enough for Motorhome & towed vehicle. Full hookups with 50 amp service. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Great for overnight stop over, not much more than that. WiFi worked great; cable available. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

It is a nice place to stop for the night, don't think I would stay for more than a day at a time but would stay here again. The manager/greeter was very personable and accommodated us well. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

No grass. Bad electrical situation. Both mine and the guy next to us' breakers kept popping. Terrible wifi- couldn't connect at all. No pool. No playground. Thank goodness they sold ice. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Manager helps people park, which is good since space is tight here. This is an old, old RV park, with old trees that have been chopped up so rigs can fit and people don't need an arborist to top them. Mostly full time residents with a few spaces for overnighters. Nothing fancy here to say the least, but everything worked, including the WiFi once you got on the right channel. This should have been one of those cheap places, but it wasn't. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Cute family run park. Well kept. They care about their park and work hard to make it nice. I was walking my dog at 1am and one of the owners came out to make sure I belonged in the park. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older RV site, but the owners/managers keep it very clean and tidy. The showers have good pressure and the water is nice and hot.

WiFi is available through a 3rd party and is quite acceptable for speed and price.

We have seen a lot of very large rigs go through here, and although there are not a lot of 'pull-through' sites, the owners/managers take great pains to ensure you are tucked in nicely, with good clearance on your slides, and even lining you up so your steps land on your concrete pad.

Just off the old Highway 58, don't be concerned about the traffic noise, you seldom here any as Highway 15 has taken the bulk of traffic in the area.

We will definitely stay here again if we pass through Barstow. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Barstow is a great little town, rich in history and geological features. Part of Route 66, there are museums that reflect that. Although a little depressed, the people here are very friendly.

In spite of a slightly faded look, this is a really nice RV park! The bathrooms are immaculate and the property is very well maintained. Barstow has always been a camping problem for us, but no longer...

We camp in a small Airstream, but big rigs had no problem navigating the site. The pads are flat and gravelly.with a cement pad for tables, etc. The sites aren't wide, but there is room enough. We were next to a 40' RV that had no problem getting in and out. A charming place with very nice managers. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived in the evening after a trying travel day. I jumped out to pay but the owners suggested we make sure everything worked in our site before paying. Huh. That's a new one. The owner guided us to our site which involved circling the entire campground which is small but there are tight areas for big rigs. We barely fit in the site with our tow vehicle and were worried it might be damaged by someone using the interior road behind us. I began getting the inside of the MH ready while my spouse hooked up the utilities. I noticed we had no electricity so I brought it to his attention. Our surge protection was cutting the power. The owner tried to help to no avail. We verified quiet hours, and I started the generator so we had power. It was very cold, and the temperature inside was also cold. My spouse remained outside trying to get the electric to work. The owner happened by and said that we couldn't run the generator, that they never allow them. It wasn't crowded at the park so it would have been nice if he had made an exception at least for a little while. We were convinced we would be spending the night at a truck stop when my spouse finally got the electric to work. And it worked fine until the morning when it conked out again. FYI - the next RV park we stayed in the utilities worked fine. Huh. They only take cash or check. We would not stay again. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

The people who run this park are friendly and helpful! This park is clean and well-maintained, in spite of its age. Sites are on gravel/dirt with a small concrete pad at the side, with a picnic table. Plenty of trees for shade. Cable is free, WiFi is available at an extra cost. They do not accept credit cards - cash or personal check only. Would definitely stay here again! We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great overnight stop. It's is old school: call for a reservation and they hold the site w/o credit card. Upon arrival they lead you to your site, and direct you into the site. After you hook up and you approve of the site then you go to the office to pay. Cash or checks only. 30 or 50 Amps are different price, we paid for 50, with GS and paid 39 bucks. Owner was a wealth of info about the area and best routes to your next destination. Water, electric, cable and sewer ok. We did not use the bath house and we camped in a Motorhome. There are some long term people here in a separate area but they are quiet and neat. We will stay here again as we pass through. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Beware that this is a 40 year old RV park. The price reflects that. It has been in the family all that time. That said, the owners have excellent customer service and make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. This is a popular stop heading to Las Vegas.

The sites are dirt with a tree and picnic table at each. There is cable TV but no WiFi. You can get it commercially for $5.00 per day. Bathrooms are old but clean. Laundry is very large and clean.

We asked for a pull thru but those were full so we got a back-in. We were guided in perfectly and given instructions on hook-ups and location of facilities.

Overall I gave this a great rating because of the customer service. The owners really appreciate your business and it is great for a stopover. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Consider this park on the way to Zoe from a Vegas. Best customer service I have seen so far. Cash or check only; no credit. Owners invited us to use their car if we wanted to go into town to eat or shop.

Our GPS took us right here. We have the Rand McNalley one and it was right on.

Nice people to deal with.

Led us to our site which was close to another one but no problem getting in our site. Took our 40ft mh and connected toad no problem.

Dirt but clean.

Low rent neighborhood so wife didn't walk around here.

Would stay here again when passing through.

Oh, make a reservation if staying here. We did and good thing we did as it was full by 9PM. We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.
