This camp has not been kept up. It is old and messy. Owner couple are very friendly and helpful, but sites are small and close and not many trees. For the price we will not be back. No Wi-Fi, cable, & have to pay to fish in pond. Campers should fish free with a limit! Pictures shown are very old so don't be fooled like we were. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Motorhome.

I chose this park because of it's elevation, at 8,000 feet. While the town of Bishop was 95 degrees in July, the high was about 82 degrees during the day, and cooled down nicely at night. Every other park with hookups is much lower and hotter. The park itself is just OK, although the surrounding area is pretty. No WiFi, cable, or phone connection with Verizon because it is set in a deep canyon. I came to this area in order to take a day trip to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine forest, about an hour away, but there is good fishing in the area too. Be aware that there is a very long, steep grade with sections at 8% to get here, going from 4,000 feet to 8,000 feet in about 10 miles. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have been coming here for nearly 20 years. This park is the place to stay to fish the area and camp with the kids. It is not "fancy", it's fun. You will have to know how to put a piece of wood under your tire. So what? Yes, there is a wooden bridge. It holds 40 foot motorhomes, but if you don't feel comfortable, go to the other end of the park and use the road. Duh. They have a guy that cleans the campground all day everyday, but it's just one guy so now and then the cans are full but not for long. If your children, (or you for that matter), don't know how to fish, bait the hook, untangle line, the owner will show you how to cast, bait the hook whatever you need to know. Tell you what bait to use, where to fish and take pictures and weigh your catch. If you get stuck in the mud, or just can't park your rig, guess what, they'll help you out. The store has nearly everything you have forgotten and if you need a tool or break something, have no fear, just ask. No extra charge, it's camping. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was one of my first extended stay trips that I did with my fifth wheel. I choose Creekside (sight unseen) because of the area and the location. Wasn't sure what I was going to be getting myself into. It was a pleasant surprise. This is not your typical RV park. It doesn't have all the amenities that most people would like, but the spaces are not huge. But that isn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a great location to centralize myself for my various fishing adventures. Creekside turned out to be perfect. The other RVers where friendly and welcoming. They gave advice and made our stay very enjoyable. The staff was very nice. Yes, the store was pricey, but tell me an RV site market that is not. The area could have been cleaner, but that is also the responsibility of the RVers. They need to dispose of their trash the proper way. It was nice having a fish cleaning station in the RV park. I would recommend this park to anyone who is looking for a great and peaceful place to stay. It can be a tight fit but to me it was worth it, and I will be going back. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We actually did not stay here. We had reservations for 3 days/nights and when we went to check in and actually see the property, we left quickly. The entrance to the RV park is quite narrow and requires you to go over a rickety wooden bridge. The sites were extremely close together (we doubted there was room for our slide out). There were overflowing trash/recycle bins everywhere. The site just does not look anything like the scenic pictures on the website. We were informed that there was a two-fish limit at the site, which was never mentioned on their website. We were also informed that a bear visits the site every night and no one was allowed to throw out their trash after 5 p.m because of the bear. We lost our money because we left but our peace of mind and safety was more important. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Location is great (at 8000 feet near South Lake above Bishop). Management is friendly and competent. Trout fishing is excellent. The creek runs right by the RV park, and they have their own pond. However, sites are very close together. There is almost no privacy. The park is basically a large dirt clearing surrounded by aspens, but most sites have little or no shade. Bathrooms are old and small. We camped at Creekside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
