This is a really nice campground. Only thing negative is how narrow the sites are. There is space between the sites, but the asphalt is quite narrow, so parking must be precise if you want to be level. Once you've got that down, it it okay. Turns are tight, too, but the place is full of huge rigs, so they all figure it out somehow. Clean and neat. Busy, too. Big laundry and ice machine. Can't complain. Rates are reasonable for location and time of year. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Many people in the big rigs parked their toads someplace else. We fit with our truck and 5th wheel, so I don't know where they all went to park, but most of the biggies parked toads elsewhere. Lots to do and see around here.

This is an attractive park in a town where there doesn't seem to be a lot of nice choices. The sites are very close together, otherwise fine. The grounds were very clean and well kept with a nice area of grass for dog walking and a little pond by the road. This was a quick overnight for us so didn't use any of the facilities so can't comment. At $39 (Good Sam) it seems a bit high, but that probably reflects the lack of competition and the popularity of the area. I suggest reservations, I called a day early and got the last site available. I would stay again. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Very convenient and easy to find RV park just north of the fairgrounds on Hwy 395. Quick and pleasant check in as staff is very helpful and friendly. Large and clean laundry and restrooms located at entrance in the office building. Plenty of tv channels and very good wifi. Great park to use as a base camp to explore the whole area. Bishop has all the shopping and restaurants one could want. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great campground in Bishop. We have stayed at the Highlands a few of times on the way home to Los Angeles and on our way to Reno. Nice level spaces, lots of trees, great staff, clean bathrooms and showers, and nice views. If we ever decide to stay a few days in Bishop, we will definitely stay at the Highlands. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a quick in and out, overnight stay, and I will definitely be back. This will be a great home base to explore the upper Owens Valley. Only drawback is the wifi is a little slow, but I am used to high speed cable. I can live with that. Lots to do on day trips around the area most of the year. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bridgeport (fishing), Mammoth Lakes and Devils Postpile, June Lake, Mono Lake, Tuolumne Meadows, Bodie Ghost Town, all to the north; east is White Mountains and ancient Bristlecone Pine forest, west is the eastern Sierra Front, including Mt Whitney from Lone Pine, Manzanar Historic site is south as is the north approach to Death Valley. In town don't miss Schat's Bakery.

A newer well maintained and obviously popular park located just north of Bishop, CA. No Sprint telephone service. Other phone services seem to be OK. Free and strong internet. All facilities clean. Friendly Staff. Appears to be a destination park for hikers, 4-wheelers, fishermen and other outdoor enthusiasts. Located just outside the city limits. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

The staff is very friendly. While the sites are pretty tight we had no problem getting in with our toad attached. The cable and WiFi work well as do the power and water. The park is one of the cleanest we have experienced. There are lots of mature shade trees that are pruned well. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Staying here overnight while headed south.
Had a pullthru that was long enough for our 40 ft mh and connected toad.
Had to move to another site as our satellite dish wouldn't work on this site.
Site was clean with hookups centered for the site.
Tar and cement for site so setting up was good.
Would stay here again when passing thru. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park is clean and paved roads. Pull through concrete RV sites are very narrow and short. I had to disconnect my tow vehicle in order to squeeze into the site. My motorhome was sticking out in the front and I had to park my tow vehicle side-ways to keep it from extending out the back. They have cable but I could not get it to work. They said that my TV was not digital but that is not the case. I had to resort to satelite in order to watch TV. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reservation process was smooth, although they only take phone reservations; and I didn't receive any type of email confirmation.

Check-in was smooth, even though we were early in the day; and the park is easy to find; right off the main road.

The sites are very narrow, and it took some maneuvering to get our fifth wheel positioned so we could open both slides. Another 4 to 6 feet would have been nice. The park is extremely well maintained, very neat and clean and all utilities worked find including good wi-fi. Our only dissatisfaction was how narrow the sites are, and some of the sites had nice big trees; but they made it even tougher to get into them. Roads in the park were easy to navigate.

Also, even though it is close to the main road, we didn't hear any road noise. Restrooms were very well maintained, always clean.

If you are in the area, make sure and go to Devil's Postpile National Monument and to the Ancient Bristlecone Forest; both are worth visiting.

We would stay here again. We were there in a 37' fifth wheel. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here a few times in the past and found all new asphalt for the sites and everything looked really clean. The campground manager was very helpful in letting us pick from a number of sites for our stay. A water main had to be replaced one day so we were given advanced notice to fill our tanks. When repairs were complete they came around to inform us and said to flush lines before connecting. 50 amp service was great as it was hot and needed AC. We will definitely be back when in the area. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night.

Managers were friendly and humorous.

Recommended a local pizza place; they must have partial ownership, ha ha. Everyone in town must go there. Good pizza but too expensive.

The park was very clean and set up well.

Right on the main highway.

Only negative was our site was right at the trash bin. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Good WiFi. Narrow but long asphalt sites. Cement pad for picnic table. Shower heads could be upgraded. Out of toilet paper one morning. My biggest beef is there was a group of seasoned RVers who constantly walked through occupied sites!! I think that is outrageous behavior. I excuse young people from doing that because maybe they weren't taught, but old timers especially with a group absolutely should not do it! It should be #1 in the rules at least as a reminder. We camped at Highlands RV Park in a Motorhome.
