This campground is all about location. It is literally right on the beach. The sites are on sand, not level, they have a picnic table and fire ring. The bathrooms are fairly new and clean. If you want a shower, you have to go about five miles to the Bodega Dunes campground. Big rigs would have some problems getting into some of the sites. Our rate reflects a senior citizen discount. Site number 8 is the best of the best. We love this place and will continue to return whenever we can get a reservation. We camped at Wright's Beach in a Travel Trailer.Undo

In a large motorhome you have to park in the parking lot, for the same price as the actual spots. It was quiet and we hiked on the beach, undisturbed, with our dogs and again along the shore the next day. Not sure why the state won't let motorhomes park in the main parking lot at night. We live nearby so it was an ok stay for 1 night. We prefer Bodega Dunes but it was sold out. We camped at Wright's Beach in a Motorhome.Undo

One of the few campgrounds in Calif. located on a beach. Surf is dangerous here not safe to go into (my father saw a swimmer drown here during his stay). Tight sites. Dry camping. I know the beach is lovely but not my favorite place to camp. Must have reservations to camp on beach but some overflow spots may be available on any given day. Close to Bodega Bay. We camped at Wright's Beach in a Motorhome.Undo

This campground is part of Sonoma Coast State Beach. Mixed tents and RV sites. I don't think it is suitable for big rigs - 40 feet +, but saw some there. Two pull-through sites. Fresh water and flush toilets. Showers and RV dump are available at Bodega Dunes campground which is about 6 miles away. Usage is free for campers at Wright's Beach. Beach is pretty, but swimming is not recommended as it is dangerous. Dogs restricted from trails, as is the case at many California state parks. We camped at Wright's Beach in a Travel Trailer.Undo
