We have been Snowbirds at this resort for the last 12 years. This year we were disappointed with our experience. As we drove in it looked uninviting and weedy - not the Desert Oasis we were used to seeing. The golf course had not been over seeded last Oct so it was in very poor condition. The golf course was our major reason for choosing this resort. They must have decreased the number of cleaning & maintenance employees because the grounds and sites were weedy and the meeting rooms weren't well cleaned. The bathrooms were not cleaned as frequently as previous years so often had wet floors. Many of the activities such as live music, wine tastings, and special occasion dinners we had enjoyed before had been discontinued. The remaining staff were as kind as courteous as previous years and did what they could to improve our experience. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Lovely park. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Two separate dog parks, all with grass. Dog litter bags available all over the park. Didn't play golf, but the course looked a little worn. Very nice swimming pool and a good fitness center. Desert landscaping is really well done. Our site was level and spacious. It was cold so we didn't spend much time outside. Had we, I think the constant humming from the adjacent power substation would have been annoying. If I had to do over, I would have selected site 110. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The drive up (west from the park) Montezuma Valley Road is beautiful. Also, the Anza Borrego SP Visitor Center is very nice.

This our first time here as we camped here for Thanksgiving. The place is literally in the middle of nowhere! Sites & facilities were impeccable and very well kept. You can tell the management care about making the campground look good. They have a heated pool, 3 small mineral spas and 1 standard spa. Golf courses look amazing, kids loved fishing in the pond as there were plenty of bites. The only negative which is minor, they require a 4 night minimum stay for the holiday. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.

Great place in the middle of nowhere! Facilities and staff were great and the area is very quiet. This area is considered a dark sky area which is an added bonus. The grounds were impeccably kept and the spots were large and comfortable. We would stay here again. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park that is well maintained, from the bathrooms to the golf course it is first class. Borrego Springs maybe the most isolated area except Death Valley in California and Death Valley has better roads into it than Borrego. But once there the city is a return to the 70's not much has changed since then and it has charm of years past. The State Park is huge and takes days to see it all. Even if you do not play golf you will enjoy The Springs. This is not an overnight stop but a resort to be enjoyed, just to far off the beaten path for an overnighter. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had a great lunch at the Ram Hill Golf Course, it had been closed for 3 years and gone to seed, but has been bought and restored to beautiful condition and is now the top golf course in the area. Simply beautiful!!! The Outfitters is one of the best stores for top end "stuff" from wine to outdoor gear, a MUST visit when in Borrego.

I have stayed here for 7 years in a row usually the last two weeks of the year and sometimes in February when the desert is in bloom. My favorite park but you have to like the desert and a small town where the closest movie theater is 70 miles. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here several times. It's a very clean park and close to the small town of Borrego Springs. Not much to do here unless you're into golfing but it's a great place to relax and visit with friends. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Driving through the mountains to the west and visiting the small towns was great. Seeing many of the sculptures in Galleta Meadows is a must (find a map of them). The farmer's market in the traffic circle is a real pleasant shopping stop.

This is probably the nicest park in the area from what we saw driving around but it's not $65 nice. The sites are plenty big and the park is well kept. The weight room is ok, the pool and hot tubs looked nice but it's a family place and kids were using the hot tubs as swimming pools so that kept us out. Maybe better rules about kids in hot tubs would help. We opted for a Premium back in site for a couple dollars more and felt it was worth it BUT they should not charge extra for site 814 because of he electrical transformer that supplied a constant hummmm 100% of the time. And in a motorhome our heads were 20ft away from it so (BEWARE) if they offer you site 814 unless you have hearing aids you can take out LOL!! We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

The first thing about this park is that the folks in the front office are very accommodating. After thinking I had a reservation and finding I did not ( probably my fault) they were very flexible and found us a space in one of the less expensive spaces. We have been here a couple of times before and feel there are no bad spots, so less expensive works. That being said, it is very expensive, but you get a lot for your dollar. The amenities cannot be beat. The spaces are large and well groomed after each tenant leaves. It is a lovely spot in the desert without all the traffic in Palm Springs 100 miles to the north. Lots of activities. The only downside is that the wifi is very weak and they block anything that remotely uses band width. Other than that they are flawless and we totally will return for a 4th stay in the future. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

A gem of a park located off the beaten path. The sites are very well maintained. After guests leave, camp hosts clean and then rake the gravel that surrounds the concrete pad. Sites were level and the utilities worked well, except the wifi, as others have mentioned. I was unable to get LTE reception with my T-mobile hot spot, only E. They have several 2-3 person, as well a one larger mineral spas plus a regular pool. Our site was a pull through and a little tight, in length. Our next visit we'll opt for one of the larger, back in sites. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are no supermarkets or chain fast food outlets in town. However, there are several restaurants and one small, well stocked market in town. The town of Julian is about an hours drive and makes a nice day trip.

Wonderful park and great friendly staff. We had a very new site facing the golf course. I had reserved the wrong site, which had been all prepped for us. They gladly gave us the one I had intended to reserve and while we were setting up the hosts wiped down the picnic table! They also came by and checked on our dog while we were out. Beautiful pool and clubhouse, well-equipped gym. Big level concrete pad. We have friends in the area and will go back for a longer stay. They even have a stargazing area! We rate this the best park ever! We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

This park charges for a first class operation. The wifi simply does not work. They have all the usual excuses but bottom line? It doesn't work and the owner/manager just keeps saying the same thing. They have rules but it seems like the old timers don't have to follow them. We were told to keep our dog on a leash at all times and then we see a guy (long timer) just playing ball with his dog in the street. This was our 5th visit to the Springs at Borrego, so obviously we are happy customers: we keep going back. This is a clean, well-kept, and well-managed resort that includes golf (9-hole), tennis, and pool/spa. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Sites are good sized. The original section of the park is mostly pull-throughs and there is a new section that are larger, but back-ins. All utilities are modern and functioned well. This was the first time we've been frustrated with the internet service. There are lots of routers/connections in the park, but the service was slow: sometimes painfully slow. At first we blamed it on the usual: when the park is full, service slows down due to limited bandwidth. However, this time I also noticed that my Verizon connection was slow. 3G at best and also very slow. We had the opportunity to spend some time with folks who live here and they said that they were also having speed issues on their home system (Verizon). The carriers have enough installed capacity for normal usage, but on high-volume weekends (this was President's Weekend), the high number of users in town brings everything to its knees. So: internet was slow, but I'm not sure in was the resort's fault. We're happy customers and have already booked our next visit. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

We had an excellent stay here at the springs. Its one of the best in southern California. We camped in a 35 foot motor home near hole #5 beautiful sites, perfectly level and new pads. The electric hookups are new and available from either side. We checked in ok, and got a package for 2 massages for my wife. They have a lot of packages. Nice friendly people. We had 3 kids and 2 dogs with us. Office friendly prices were good for water and snacks. We did tennis. Pools were great and warm, nice mineral baths and Jacuzzi. Ping pong was great for kids. Massage great. We did tennis with kids walking as you need drivers license for carts. WILL return EXCELLENT. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Motorhome.
