Lovely landscaped park with beautiful trees and shrubs throughout. Easy, convenient utility connections with superior WiFi. Very quiet at night. Excellent pool and spa facilities. Top-notch office staff. Site was smooth pressed sand with grass and bushes on both sides. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

What a wonderful winter getaway resort. Flying Flags has all the amenities an RVer could ask for--level sites, ample room, strong WiFi and television, hot tubs and pool. The grounds are meticulously maintained and, seemingly, undergo a metamorphosis on a yearly basis. Close to wineries, golf, and the quaint town of Solvang, Flying Flags allows the camper to spread his/her wings and just enjoy life. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
Allow yourself plenty of time to explore the area.

Clean, flat sites with gravel or concrete pads. Some areas are hilly and I didn't notice if those sits were flat. Roads are adequate. Large dog park in a treed area, but it might be quite a hike from the far side of the park. Gravel sites do have a concrete patio area that accommodates a picnic table. There are a variety of camping and meeting areas and a large fire pit in an area with porch heaters. Wi-Fi and cable. Treats for humans and dogs were given to us at check in. We were on a tour and did not pay or make arrangements. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Stayed one night. Very nice CG. Easy walk to market and three restaurants. We stayed in a pull-through with 39 ft rig. Some turns in park can be narrow but no big deal. Will stay here again. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Excellent showers, good laundry room, uber-friendly staff. Close for exploring the quaint Danish village of Solvang. Last time in the area, we spent $95 to stay at another park. This will be our new highway 101 stop. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Fine park and getting better. Rated a 9 because of serious lack of night security: loud talker at 3am and barking dog all night next evening. Not normal occurrence for park, very unusual, but it did happen and ruined two nights of our stay. Office staff apologized but only remedy is for me to call security patrol in city which does not patrol RV Park. Never-the-less, will go back when in area. This is not a deluxe resort but a nice campground. We had a premium deluxe site that we had reserved 6 months in advance at $95 a night. When we got there the only site that they consider in that category available was right on the 3 lane entry check in. It was awful so for 3 days we viewed traffic checking in and using the store in a large campground. The manager apologized and told us we had been moved because the site we where supposed to be in had extended their stay and that the site we where in should not be a premium deluxe site. Aside from our experience with our site this is a nice park and the management tried to make a bad situation better. In the older section the roads are narrow and the sites tight. This is a return trip for us this year. This is a great stop for us when on the way to or from southern cal. The weather for this week was forecast to be high 90s lo 100s. We arrived on a Thursday about 1pm and the receptionist was great. They put us in a site that had no shade, so before unhooking I went back to the office and asked if we could be moved to a site with at least some shade. They were expecting a lot of people for the weekend, but were able to find a great spot with two large trees. As stated in my previous review, the park is clean with some grass at every site, and a very large dog run. It's very easy on and off the Fwy., and gas and a grocery store close by. We left on Saturday morning and saw the park was full, only a site or two were open. This is a favorite park for people from the greater L.A. area as well as Bakerfield. So expect the weekends to be packed. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Found check in pleasant and quick. They gave us a list of sites to pick from. Great service. They offered free movie rentals which is a nice touch. Most sites were pull thru and easy to navigate. Looks like it could be a busy place. I would recommend reservations. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Visit Anderson's Pea Soup, good food and easy walk. We found walking for Groceries and fast food easy to do. You may not have to drive too far, unless you are going to visit wineries.

Totally full when we were here. Lots of kids, lots of tents in the tent area. Seemed to be a popular summer vacation spot. Lots of park sponsored activities, huge playground, Saturday band on the office patio, hay wagon rides. WiFi is provided by Tengo. Verizon signal is strong, internet 4G. Did I mention lots of kids? Drive very slow! For the amount of campers, park was very clean. A huge fenced in dog park is available. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

The resort is located near Solvang, Santa Barbara, and Los Olivos. All hookups worked well and site was relatively level. Most site pads are compacted gravel and had ample space between RV's. Sites were nicely landscaped. A ton of activities were taking place at the resort while we were there, which made it fun for the kids. Pool (although crowded) and restrooms were clean. Small store and restaurant located on site. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is by far the nicest RV park we have stayed at so far. The check in was very simple and quick as there were three stations with each checking in campers. Getting to our spot was simple even though the place is huge. Getting into our spot was also very straight forward, there is plenty of room to get any size rig positioned correctly. The hook up station is great there is even a light in case people get there after dark. This park is right next to highway 101, but one would never know it, it is very quiet, clean and safe. There is security driving around at night in a golf cart. Every spot has grass, which they mow every other day it seemed. It appeared to us that there was a staff of about seven maintenance people. There is a large playground with a small water play area for kids, there is a nice large pool with lots of deck chairs. Their store is well stocked. The best part for us was that it was centrally located to places we wanted to visit, even Santa Barbara. I would highly recommend this place for several nights if your traveling up/down highway 101. This was our second visit and we found the camp has been upgraded since 2012. This is an excellent camp with friendly staff and good sites. Clean & modern restrooms, reasonable sized sites with easy access, concrete pad for furniture. Swimming pool, spa & good internet. We will stay here again. Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $73.00
I was disappointed regarding the rate ($66 + Tax). I expected more for that price. This was the most expensive CA RV park we have stayed in and I would rank it at the lowest. The sites were close together, and on dirt with some gravel. I didn't see the value. I would put more emphasis on "campground" and less on "resort" in the park's name. Unfortunately, It is the only game in town if you want to go to Solvang. I would probably stay at another park in the future and make the drive. Clean, pretty, newly renovated, friendly park. Just off 101. Great pool and water features for kids. Nice dog park. Wi-Fi actually worked, even though the park was 3/4 full. We camped in a group, so actual rate may be different. Reasonably priced golf just across the street. Have been here before and highly recommend.
