So we paid for super premium site at 75 bucks a night. Upon arrival we got a site that was half full of these big green electrical boxes. It is my birthday weekend so we were hoping for a nice site. Site 29 is across from the office and half full of electical boxes. I asked to be moved and very rude staff refused to move us. This RV park will not let you reserve spots which really sucks. Bottoms line is half the site was taken with electrical equip so should be half price. I guess they throw in a grill and call it super premium, what a bad deal. If booking this RV park I would make a second reservation somewhere else, just in case. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night passing through so I asked about the length of pull thru sites as I didn't want to unhook toad. Was told all sites were 65' long. Our site was barely long enough for my 30' MH and tow, maybe 55' long at most. Our site as compacted dirt (maybe for one nighters?) while some others were concrete. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were too tired to go out and eat so we asked the front desk about pizza delivery. They suggested Gino's Pizza as they deliver right to your site. The Pizza was fantastic!! Order a medium pizza but it looked more like a large to me, and boy was it good. Probably the best pizza I've had in a while. Highly recommend giving them a try. A little pricey, but worth every penny.

The good news they are redoing the park with a new pool and rec area, it is going to be beautiful. Now during the construction the turns are tight with lots of equipment to dodge plus most of the street signs are down making it difficult to get to your site. Was promised a satellite friendly site but the site had a tree completely over the MH, the gentlemen across the way came over and said he had changed sites because there was no way the satellite was going to work ...disappointed. Our site was a pull thru that was not long enough to keep the toad off the road, the sites are narrow and my electric cord just reached the power. Hope at sometime they redo the sites to make them more big rig friendly. A hard park to rate. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is and easy off I-10. They are doing extensive upgrades to the park, adding many new features. We were in the new section of the park. The sites in the new section are cement and very level with grass. Long term residents are in the old section of the park. Park roads easy to navigate. End sites are super-premium have a larger grass area, and come with a gas grill. They will deliver a fire pit and wood to all sites. If you have a dog get a back-in site in the new section that abuts the large grass field, back in are easy enough. (look on google maps) In the older section of the park the sites are gravel/dirt, and smaller with more trees. In the new section, while the sites are concrete, you might still have to disconnect you toad if your motorhome is over 36-37'. Our site was 437. Had sat. access and cement in the new section. The park has a restaurant which is nice, but it is closed tue. and wed. They have nice wine selection at the park, also have hand dipped ice cream. Nice pool and hot tub. Good FHU's in new section, good pressure and steady electric. Most new sites have sat access. The park has decent cable. Wifi worked reasonably well, but was spotty at peak periods. Had good Verizon signal for data, T-Mobile data was spotty. Nice laundry facilities, washers and driers had credit card swipes, that did not work. This is a resort park, so their may be a lot of activity. Would camp here again. There is construction in the park on some new cottages at the time of writing, should be over soon, was not a problem. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Go into Solvang get some pastries. Also wine tasting at a $$. Lot of restaurants in the area. It is worth staying a few days to take advantage of the area offerings. Very nice large gas fire pit near store to sit and have your hand dipped ice cream or glass of wine. Park store limited, but there is an Alberson's a few miles away. No Walgreens or Wal Mart in area. CVS store nearby. There are gas stations in Solvang for gassers, but check them out before taking your rig in.

This is a really nice park that is as close to a 10 without being a 10. It has everything you want in a RV park including a friendly staff and organized activities. My only dings are that I find 60 dollars for and RV site to be high and the premium sites are not paved just compacted dirt. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Terrific restaurants include Hitching Post (of Sideways fame) which serves their amazing hamburgers ONLY Mon, Tues, and Wed. in the bar area. The locals love this place. Also some really good restaurants in Solvang plus lots of shops if that's your thing.

We arrived at the park and checked in, we were given site 419 which is a deluxe site, had a gas barbecue and a wood fire pit. And picnic table. Large, concrete site with plenty of room. Grass all around, so no dust at all. We were very close to hwy 101 but road nose was very low.

This park was just remodeled: has bocce ball court a swimming pool and playgrounds for kids. They're adding another pool and won't be in until next summer. Everyone that worked here was very helpful. Large roads coming in and out.

The only problem we had was the pool was overcrowded with lots of kids. Kids were also in the hot tubs. They needed to have an adult time in the pool. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. Our first visit here. This park is really 2 parks in one. The older section has dirt/gravel spaces with large trees with wide shade. It appeared that there are many longer term residents in that section and a few of those units appeared to be in poor condition.

We stayed in the newer section which had concrete pads and no shade. This was just fine with us since we watch satellite TV. I don't think that would be possible in the older section.

The office / pool area / diner were in nearly new condition. The staff very friendly and helpful. There was a fenced off section in the newer area where the staff told us that a 2nd pool is under construction.

Power supply was consistently good as was the water pressure.

The staff were holding games & events throughout the weekend, mostly for kids. They also showed free movies in a grass area each evening. Lots of kids running around and riding their bikes. There are 2 nearly new playgrounds for the kids. Staff were around regularly and appeared to be enforcing the rules. The bathroom & shower facilities are in great condition. They are serviced once a day but could have used more frequent service on this very busy weekend. We had a great time here and will definitely return. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We have stayed and reviewed this park in the past. It is very pretty, easily accessible, close to everything, clean, with lots of facilities. They are revamping and up-scaling the whole operation, making it great for snow-birds or wine aficionados. It may not be as attractive for families, in the long run, because the costs are increasing. At present they are creating an entire pool area for families, and will reserve the existing pool next to the main entrance for bar service. Our site was barely large enough for a 34 foot rig and tow car. Sites seem a bit smaller. Our slide was inches from the trees and utility post. Beautiful park--the new section has very long pull-throughs and back-ins, although they are fairly close together. With slides and awnings there is not much room left. Only reason I gave it 6 stars is the freeway right next to the park, especially close to the new section---very noisy. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice Park, we stayed in the new section for 3 nights. Yes, there is traffic noise 24 hrs/day, we were not bothered by it. The only negatives are: a staff member didn't know how direct us to our site on check in. The other is rude guests whom don't adhere to the quiet hours, and are in your site at 1130pm running around. In our two-year travels throughout the United States, this turned out to be one of our favorite RV parks. Each space has a flower basket that sits atop a white vase-like pedestal that glows at night (and the power boxes also glow). The office has a very nice store plus wine selection, and they have a full-service restaurant. Outside the restaurant is a very nice patio with lights strung up lattice-like between the tall fence and trees. There is a huge natural-gas fire pit, plus plenty of gas-powered heaters so guests can sit out at night and enjoy themselves. Each week they have a BBQ (ribs, chicken and fish) - a bit spendy for what you got, but still a nice touch - and they had a movie projector and outdoor screen for the kids (they were playing "Frozen" when we were there).

Just an example of the thoughtful touches - when we arrived, they typically give each guest a bag with two fresh-made cookies, but they were out so when we came back a little later for ours, we got two bags for the trouble. The office staff was very friendly and helpful.

Just to nitpick, our space was barely long enough to accommodate our 36' motorhome and Honda CR/V toad; we noticed some longer spots across the street, so it was probably just the staff trying to best fit everyone into the spots that they had.

This is a very popular park with rigs (mostly motorhomes) coming and going, and it didn't look like a lot of "full timers" were here. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful park. Lots of amenities and very well kept. They have added new sites on concrete if you don't like dg (I don't mind dg if they are level which they are.) You have grass at every site and beautiful mature trees in the older part of the park. The bathrooms and laundry are very well kept. Wash is $2.00. Fire g is 10.oo per night extra at this space. New Years Day rate, $85. was way over the top. But they were 100% full and loaded with kids and families, so guess they did it because they could. The next day, 1-2-16 was $58 and 1-3 was $56, still very expensive.

Its a one only park in the area with probably lots going on in the summer with stuff for the kids. The density is heavy and close. The new section is very close to 101 and extremely noisy so get something back in the 300 if your over in that area. TV cable bad signal, and ask for a satellite site as there are many trees. We were given one that was supposed to work but had to go back and move. Staff friendly and helpful. They rent BBQ's and fireplaces which we have not seen any other place out west. Small patio, some grass, pad was dirt but there are concrete pads in some locations. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.
