This is a wonderful park. Lots of amenities and very well kept. They have added new sites on concrete if you don't like dg (I don't mind dg if they are level which they are.) You have grass at every site and beautiful mature trees in the older part of the park. The bathrooms and laundry are very well kept. Wash is $2.00. Fire g is 10.oo per night extra at this space. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

New Years Day rate, $85. was way over the top. But they were 100% full and loaded with kids and families, so guess they did it because they could. The next day, 1-2-16 was $58 and 1-3 was $56, still very expensive.

Its a one only park in the area with probably lots going on in the summer with stuff for the kids. The density is heavy and close. The new section is very close to 101 and extremely noisy so get something back in the 300 if your over in that area. TV cable bad signal, and ask for a satellite site as there are many trees. We were given one that was supposed to work but had to go back and move. Staff friendly and helpful. They rent BBQ's and fireplaces which we have not seen any other place out west. Small patio, some grass, pad was dirt but there are concrete pads in some locations. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Short distance to Solvang. Great steak dinner at Hitching Post II.

Another great park. They are doing a tremendous amount of work adding to the park, new sites, a theater area, and a huge picnic area. Plenty of space in the sites and some have fire pits and barbecues. The public area near the restaurant has a very large propane fire pit.
The pool area could use some new cushions on the chairs which are all stained.
Would stay again. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Solvang about 3 miles away is a great place to visit, especially near Christmas time.

Overall a nice place to stay while visiting Solvang, Los Olivos and Santa Barbara. The staff is friendly and the park is clean and well maintained. We stayed in the new premium plus section of the park. All pads in this section are concrete with lawn areas between sites but this area is wide open, can get windy in the afternoons and subject to some highway noise. It is also a little ways from the recreational facilities and clubhouse. We would definitely stay here again but we would consider staying in the older shaded sections. Here, the pads are a gravel and a bit smaller, but lined with full grown trees and close to park facilities. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very large and busy RV park. Very convenient to many places and areas. Very clean, level sites, lots of shade, nice staff, good store. Camp Fire Cafe attached to office seemed very busy too. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice Park. Staff was friendly, but were busy when we checked in so had to find our own way to our site. We had requested a drive through but found the hook ups at the rear of the site so could not stay connected to our tow car. Some low hanging branches to watch out for. Would stay again. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Solvang which is only 4 miles away.

You might need ear plugs. Summer weekends are very busy and party groups are common. In addition to ongoing construction and partiers, the music and movies tend to be broadcast at rather high volumes. We closed our windows and ran the A/C to try and deaden the sound. Probably fine if these activities are to your liking. Maybe not so good if your tastes are different or you are putting a child to bed.

On the plus side, very clean and well maintained. We'll visit off season but won't return during summer. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Close to Danish community of Solvang. Plenty of shopping, wineries, farms and food.

Efficient staff, great showers & laundry room, good location for visiting Solvang. However, they seriously need to segregate the dog sites. If you LOVE dogs, you will LOVE this park. Else, be prepared: "well-behaved dogs welcome." But like children, well-behaved is a matter of opinion. Sounds like a kennel in some areas (the RV 2 sites from us had 6 dogs). We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you visit the charming Danish town of Solvang, avoid the touristy section, and try Birkholm's, the ORIGINAL Solvang bakery. 9 varieties of cookies in tub for $16 (the others on the main street charge up to $21 for smaller tub / 6 varieties). And friendly servers!

Lots of kids with no supervision! The pool is a giant babysitter with screaming and "Marco Polo" going on all day! The bathrooms are often dirty because of all the kids. There is very little security in the old section of the park and none in the new section. There are plenty of rules, but none are enforced. On the weekends the whole place looks like an elementary school playground. You can't even drive on the streets on Sat. evening - it's an accident waiting to happen. The old section of the park is NOT satellite friendly even through the manager say's it is. There is limited cable TV - 35 channels. The wi-fi in the old part of the park is good but non-existent in the new part. They are spending a lot of money on things that will make them more money like "Airstream Row" and "Safari Tents" but not on things that would improve the RV experience. The old trees are in desperate need of trimming which would take care of the satellite reception problem. The park uses "Dynamic Pricing" which means that the price changes as the park fills up. It is determined at the time you make the reservation. The same spot that cost us $78 (Super Premium), cost our neighbor $105 because he reserved later then we did. That's why there are no prices quoted on their website. State watering rules for the drought are being ignored and daytime watering for excessive amounts of time go on. The watering waters the patios and they don't care if your things get wet. The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. However there are many things that only the manager can do. He isn't very friendly and often not available. The cafe is quite good. The place looks nice. It is very convenient for the area. The Super Premium sites used to be corner sites with a rustic fence and a BBQ and Fire Pit included. In the new section of the park, they are anywhere; on the corner, in the middle of the row, even next to tents, without any fences. They aren't worth the extra price. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

My rating is for the new section only. The old section is dirty and very scary. The new section has large concrete pads with a table. Because the roadways here are newly paved, the kids on electric scooters and bikes flood the area. The staff was very friendly and the maintenance crew patrolled the area keeping it clean. We would stay here again only if we assigned the new area. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you plan to get to the CG early, call before you get in line. Several people told me they were sent back on the street because they were too early. The entrance and exit cross so if you have to leave when the check in line is long, you will sit there idling.

Best RV park we've ever visited - and we've been to dozens of them. The bathrooms are like the Bellagio! Very clean, well kept grounds. Great laundry. Immaculate sites with great (free!) wifi, cable tv, w/p/s. The permanent residents are in a separate area. The park is expanding to include more sites - mostly pull throughs, a park, a children's area and their own pool. Buellton is right next door to Solvang and the two cities have excellent shopping and unique offerings. This is also wine country. The Albertsons has a huge local wine selection. We will definitely stay here again. A bit on the pricey side - but a welcome treat after being on the road for several weeks in much lower grade parks. Good Job Flying Flags! We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Do go over to Solvang!

What a beautiful campground. The public areas were beautiful. The evening we were there the fire-pits were lit and folks were making s'mores. Our site was a little tight, front to back. We had to park the car diagonally across the back of the site. Efficient, pleasant check-in staff. The pool was beautiful. Lovely fenced playground that looked fairly new. Looked like some folks come and stay a while. Wished we could have stayed more than the one night. We camped at Flying Flags RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Great park. The only reason I did not give it a 10 was the construction they are doing is very loud at times. Other than that it is a wonderful park. We had site 91, which came with a fire pit and a very nice barbeque with a full tank of propane and it was very clean. Solvang is a great place to wonder around, so many little shop. Will be back.
