This is the "off" season for this CG and we were given a premium drive-through site. WSE & CTV, daily garbage pick up and two complimentary rounds of golf per site on a quality golf course. Staff was terrific. This is an adult park well managed and quality in every way. Hedges separate sites and each site is concrete with patio area and ample parking for toad or tow vehicle. The pool and sauna is open and clean. We have enjoyed each stay here and will return. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
Fuel and propane are nearby in Chowchilla. Groceries are even closer and there are local eateries nearby as well. This is an excellent place to stay and relax, tour the area, including Yosemite National Park. The GPS gets terribly confused with recent new construction on SR-99 and sometimes it isn't easy getting back to the park unless you return on exactly the same route by which you left.

First take this is a nice place; after driving through the big iron gates it is a different story. Weirdest utilities I've encountered with the sewer 40 feet in the middle of a 80 foot pull through and the rest of the utilities about 30 feet away. Grass is mostly dead from lack of water and weeds have replaced the grass. A flyer put in your welcome pack instructs you to keep your fresh water tank filled because they run out of water occasionally. Wifi was down. Pool and spa out of service for refinishing. Somewhat noisy due to road by park. I couldn't believe with so many amenities not available they did not reduce rate accordingly. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a beautiful resort style park, just a short distance off CA-99. Very quiet and secure with access controlled by electronic gates. Very clean and landscaped beautifully. We only stayed one night, but if you have time there is a very nice golf course next door that you can play (free) during your stay. We will definitely be back.l We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a great little RV park. We stop here on our way to Northern California from San Diego. There is a related golf course and restaurant. The Putter's Bistro is great for dinner. We will be back hopefully to enjoy the golf course in more temperate weather. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo

Park was about average for appearance at this price point. Pad and site was nice. Major problem was water pressure dropped to almost nothing at about 6 PM. Between 7 PM and 9 PM there was actually no water! When we contacted management they did not believe us that there was no water and told us just to fill and use our rigs water tank. They called back later and said there was a problem and the water should be back on shortly. The staff just was not that responsive and I requested another call back on the water issue but they blew me off. Would never stay here again unless it was a $25.00 overnight stop. Beautifully maintained park in nice surroundings. Where we were located the internet access was almost non-existent. A place like this needs to ensure that guests get what is advertised. This would be an easy situation to remedy. Very pet friendly and lots of places outside the park to let the dogs run around. Dog relief area is very small and will be a disappointment for large breed owners. Adult swim hours a plus. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Booked Memorial Weekend a few weeks in advance. Was told at time of booking that there were only two sites available. Well, there were a lot more than that but it appears individuals own specific sites and those aren't rented to the public. There were still several sites available so it might be safe to just show up even on a busy holiday weekend. The sites are pretty nice, concrete pads with additional half-circle patios - just no table provided so bring your own. The back-in sites have trees, some might be an issue with really tall rigs; the tree at our site blocked our awning. All sites have privacy hedges between, very nice touch, with a bit of grass. There is a center large pond with fountain which is quite nice, as well as a nice pool and spa. No playground, didn't see any kids all weekend. There is an OK dog run area, grassy and not too smelly. Seemed to be a lot of rules which is a bit off-putting but we were good and didn't get into trouble! They seemed to really emphasis the 10 pm quiet time so we didn't stay up and visit like we usually would have. Seemed everyone was in bed by then, I guess to make their early tee-times. A round of golf comes free with each site. Need a remote to access this gated park so I wouldn't show up here after hours. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Camped here on the way down and on the way back to/from Palm Springs. The rate down was $40, the rate back was $50. At that price point, unless you take advantage of 'complimentary' golf, staying here may be questionable. The park itself is very nice, clean washrooms and showers, large private sites, and decent WiFi. They have a nice dog run at one end of the park but there is also ample green space just outside the park for Fido. Easy access to the highway, gas stations, and the small town of Chowchilla. This is definitely the better park in the area. Take advantage of their golf special if possible. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

RPI rate plus $7 per day electricity 30 or 50 AMP. This is a high end RV park connected to a larger residential development and golf complex. The sites are all concrete with patios, some with fire places and BBQ's. There are pull-thrus and back-ins. The restrooms are clean but twice I checked out the facilities and both times the restrooms smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The laundry is clean and in good condition. Depending on the package golf is either complimentary or $10 plus the cost of a cart. Garbage is picked up curbside daily around 9 AM. This is a quiet and pleasant RV park and we would return. We enjoyed this gem in the middle of Central Valley however would not give it a 10 due to the cable and Wi-Fi being troublesome. The back-in sites were difficult to get into but the pull-thrus, which were more expensive, were easier. It was a pretty spot, the showers were very clean, and the entire area reminded us of being in a resort. We would return as the free golf is an incentive. This was our maiden voyage in a trailer. It was wonderful, clean, had nice restrooms and showers, pet area, privacy hedges between spots, trash pickup at 9 a.m., free coffee and tea, pool, hot tub, and man made pond. Free golf, so we'll be back! We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a very nice resort. Stayed two nights on our way north, beautiful setting around the lake. Rate includes golf or you can choose a Good Sam discount if you are not a golfer. Sites are paved, lawn and shrubs in between the sites. Small concrete sitting area. Free Wi-Fi that worked perfect. Showers and restrooms are super clean. Would come back anytime. The rate posted included one round of golf daily (per person) plus electric, WiFi and cable. Friends recommended The Lakes to us and we'll stop here every year when we're passing through. Beautiful spot, great golf course, and convenient from highway 99. And person in the office was friendly and very accommodating. Great spot to spend a relaxing week! Wow! Possibly the nicest park we've ever stayed in. Only needed one night off the interstate and this was perfect. Watch the GPS: it will likely send you West of I-5, but you need to go East. Beautiful park. Very friendly staff. It was New Year's Eve and they provided refreshments and food in the community room. The whole park must have shown up. We played Mexican train with an assortment of people from all over. This place deserves the 10 rating. WiFi was fast and cable was as good as home. Worth the few extra dollars for sure. Stayed two nites. Good 50amp electric, cable tv, water pressure around 50-55lbs. Good wifi reception even though we were near the dog run area in pull through. Concrete pad was level and didn't require much to level. Nice pads on side to sit out and relax with chairs and table. 5-6 foot trimmed hedges for some privacy. We are RPI members but they do not allow the discount rate if you are over 35ft, so we paid the regular rate. Good Sam discount covers the hotel/motel tax. Not much to do in the area if you don't golf. However we enjoyed the dinosaur fossil center a few miles south as well as wine tasting and purchasing pistachio nuts at local nut farm market. All and all a very nice, clean park with secured gates in and out. If in the area we would stay again. We camped at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.Undo
