This is basically five pull-through spots in front of a permanent mobile home park. But the good news is that it is right off the I-210 freeway so it is a perfect over night stop off if driving between Palm Desert and Northern California. I called ahead and the lady asked me to put $20 cash in the mail slot of her door if I came late. When I left early in the morning, two other rigs had pulled in. You can not even put out slides as the spaces are that tight. I was able to pick up some Wi-Fi from a neighbor and quite a few TV stations came in via antenna because of being so close to Los Angeles. It was a bit noisy and absolutely no ambiance, but for a very reasonable stop-off with electric, we found it very convenient. - WinnebagoTraveler

East Shore is connected to the Raging Waters water park, and is owned by the county. It is one of the closest ones you will find close to LA County Fairgrounds, and LA proper. We have stayed here before, but it has been a few years. We were kind of surprised how much it has turned into a "long term" rental park. A small section of the park is reserved for transient guests, but about 80% is long term. We paid a weekly rate of $329 a week, which breaks down to about $47 a night. It is full hook up, and some of the sites are on a hill overlooking the reservoir at Frank G Bonelli Park. It is also right next door to Bracket Field, a county airport for smaller planes. The sites can be pretty sloped, so if you come, bring blocks to level with. There is a pool and some stuff for the kids, but there isn't much in the way of maintenance, so parts are getting a bit worn out. If fact when we got to our site, it was covered in screws, nails, and various debris. We spent about 10 minutes cleaning it off before we could pull the rig in. The restrooms are handicapped accessible, but could also use some modernizing. We used our own Wifi, but there may have been some offered if you went to the office. In spite of being on a hill, our wifi struggled a bit, both T-mobile and Verizon, but that could have been just positioning. Interestingly, there is a 2 week maximum for staying in a site (if you are not a permanent resident). After 2 weeks you have to move to a different site. It's an OK park if you need to stay, but it didn't feel like a good long term place to stay. - SargeW
Mar 2018 - $61.00
Have stayed here numerous times over the years but things have changed there for the worst. It has become a place for fulltime/long term residents. Regular campers are stuck next to them, some with permanent structures like storage sheds and shop equipment. And worse, various neighbors were allowed to play boom boxes and be loud after quiet hours, until midnight. And campsites were allowed to cram as many vehicles as possible. This created a very difficult situation when departing, while pulling the trailer. Many cars stuck out into the road on both sides. In fairness, the Asst. Manager contacted us after my wife complained to the office on our departure. He stated that they were aware of the issues with long term residents and were moving them all to their own loops, leaving 4 loops strictly for transient guests and offered us two free Premium sites. But we live over 1200 miles away so just 2 free nights isn't sufficient compensation. Bottom line, we will never return. We lived in the area for many years and return to the area to visit family and friends. But we'll find some other place to stay since we dont feel the rules are enforced there, even after the moving of residents. - bikendan
Mar 2018 - $75.00
Very nice county park, with RV park overlooking the lake. We were in C loop and had a great view. Big wide paved sites with full hookups, cable TV had lots of channels. This place is well-maintained. Not a speck of trash anywhere, everything in great shape. I would complain about the high price, but there are few options in southern California and this park really was worth it. - jimandlisa

Jan 2018 - $50.00
Pros: 20 minutes from the gold line, 5 minutes from the metrolink, staff was courteous, Park was clean, many spots for big rigs. I stayed there in December and got a site big enough for my trailer and tow vehicle. Cons: stayed there in January and my spot was only big enough for my trailer and they charged me additional for a parking spot (later refunded by manager when I complained). While staff was courteous, there were no personnel driving around to see what was needed like in so many other parks. There were problems with the plumbing there that week and it smelled awful occasionally. One big flaw was the laundry. For a full big park you need more than 2 working dryers. Staff, again courteous, said that they were to be repaired but nothing happened. We opted for the local laundromat. We probably won't stay there again. - Markra
Oct 2017 - $70.00
We were not all that impressed with this park for the cost. I understand that it is close to Los Angeles but still think that well over $500 for a week, even with the discount, is excessive. They are in the process of upgrading the park but, at this time, all that has been done is the office - and it is very nice. Staff was extremely helpful and, when I explained that we were visiting a friend from my high school years, they even gave us a (very small) site right next to ours for her to park. Sites were fairly level blacktop and wide enough for our slides although very close to the neighboring units. We were not able to use our awning at all due to a pole right next to our unit (no idea what it was for). There was no cable but we were able to get many stations on the antenna. Wi-fi was slow and not all that reliable. Other utilities worked well. There was some litter at our site and the grass definitely needed mowing. There were a lot of permanent/seasonal residents but they were neat and well-kept. The laundry was small and several of the machines were not working. Our site was right next to the tent sites and the people in the tents were very upset that the only restrooms were at the exact opposite end of the park. We were close to the Fairplex and did get some noise on the weekend but it wasn't bad and didn't go on too late. I would probably try to find another park if we are ever back in the area. - SandyA
Jun 2017 - $65.00
The sites were clean enough with nice trees and some grass...some, not much. I wasn't terribly impressed with anything about the park, but it's a clean, safe enough place to stay if you need to be in the area for whatever reason. I ran into some resistance from park personnel about having guests visit us for dinner one night - they're VERY strict about parking though I was able to "convince" them to relax their rules a bit for one night. There was quite a bit of noise Friday and Saturday nights from the Fairplex next door... if there's an event going on while you're there, expect some noise. - Wryly Blithe

For this location, you have to know what you're going into and if that's your thing... then it's all good!! It's rustic and all dirt. There are only a couple of sites with full hookups (and they are not bad). Again, if you're looking for rustic!! The surroundings are beautiful and that I did enjoy even as a confessed Glamper. Beware of the power supply, it says 50amps, but no ... at least not consistently. Use a surge protector, for sure!!! It's mostly for tent campers, who fill the place up on weekends and don't mind overlapping their tents onto your site. But, they were all really nice and I met some good people that I shared a beer or two with. The staff is nice and very helpful. The kids loved it, but keep an eye out, there is wildlife, mainly rattlesnakes, raccoons and an occasional late evening bear. All said and done, when I'm feeling like getting down and gritty, aside from my glamping lifestyle, I'll go back!! - Glamper Dude
May 2008 - $50.00
First I will say that we did not stay here, but went to preview it before reserving. The good: The area was prettier than I expected, didn't realize that area even existed. Reminded me of the San Gorgonio area a bit. The creek was this place's saving grace. It was awesome how you can camp RIGHT on the creek. Some places say you are on the creek, but these really are. It was fantastic. The bad: No shade, no grass. Went on a Wednesday and the gate was locked, restaurant/check-in was closed. (Also closed Tuesday.) The place was completely empty except the permanent campers who also pretty much take up all the hook-up spots. There were two (of about 9) still available, but I don't think I would camp in those spots. The permanent guys aren't tidy. Plus those sites aren't on the creek. In a row (I guess you could say) behind. Also, the website makes this place look waaaay better than it is. I never did find restrooms or showers. It's basically just dirt along the creek. There were porta potties and a couple of water spiggots scattered about. A number of full and somewhat stinky trash bins. I seriously have no idea how they charge $50 a night. Bizarre. In their defense, there were some heavy rainstorms lately and maybe that had something to do with the condition of the place. Overall: I absolutely love, love, love creekside camping so I'd camp here anyway, but if you aren't the same, this certainly is one worth skipping. I brought my mom and sister. My mom wouldn't stay here and my sister said she "might." We have young kids and they loved playing in the water. While we were here, the water was moving quite fast at only about 3 feet at its deepest. Didn't see any fish, but I'd imagine there are some in there. Could set up a lounge chair right in the water and lounge all day long. - CHeller
Nov 2007 - $60.00
We could hardly believe how rustic and beautiful Camp Williams was, considering it is within easy reach of a major metropolitan area - L.A.! It's nestled in a canyon formed by the San Gabriel Mountains, and the East Fork of the San Gabriel River runs right through the camp. RV sites are nestled among the trees for cool shade during the summer months, but have a beautiful view of the river. Tent sites are, literally, right along the banks. You can fish right from your tent! The Café offers a great place to grab a delicious meal, from a pancakes & eggs breakfast to a juicy hamburger so you can take a break from cooking. We had a great time here, and look forward to visiting again soon! - bcbounders

This RV park has been in existence for 4 years, and is still a work in progress. It is very rustic with no pavement. Staff is friendly, and helped me back into site #14. Eventually there will be a 1 acre fishing pond. The hole has been dug, but they will need to line it so it will hold water, because the soil is decomposed granite, and very porous. Near the Mt. Baldy ski area, two nice restaurants, hiking and mountain biking trails. Set at about 4,500 feet elevation in the Angelus National Forest with views of Mt. Wilson to the west, and Mt. Baldy to the east. - chockwald

Oct 2006 - $12.00
This park is not recommended for anyone with a trailer. The reason is the park entrance is by a NARROW, ONE LANE washboard road, and if you meet someone coming the other way, you cannot pass. If you do decide to camp here, the campground is on a hill, and the sites are not level, but are on asphalt. There is a charcoal grill and a picnic table, and water is at a central spigot. The rangers are very friendly, and the campground is quiet. - res08hao
Sep 2005 - $12.00
While Chino Hills State Park has existed for a couple of decades, or more, the new small campground was just opened in May of 2005. Maximum length for RV's is 28 feet. All spots are back in. In a few years the trees they have planted will provide nice shade. The 24 spots are all paved and pretty level, and are terraced up the side of a hill, so everyone gets a view! The restrooms and showers are brand new and immaculate! Lot's of hiking, mountain biking trails. The park is about 12,000 acres with lots of Oak trees. When you enter the park you will drive about 3 miles on a narrow dirt road until you reach the center of the park where everything is paved. Very helpful Rangers on duty and easy to find. Very quiet. This little campground is one of the best kept secrets in the area. You will feel like you are 200 miles from anywhere, when in fact you are less than 4 miles from civilization! You can hear the coyotes at night. Get's the ocean breezes from Orange County. - chockwald

ANTS, flies from the livestock and to top it off, the site dump station was plugged. Didn't discover that until I pulled the black water handle! Site was un-level asphalt. Lot's of dirt surrounding the site. Ample space from your neighbor and plenty of grass play area for children. We've been here several times but didn't remember the ants and flies, but the dump station forces us to stay away. - SD75mac
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Have stayed here before. Large Sites with tables and fire pits. Utilities worked fine. Verizon strong. Dog friendly, Kid friendly. Plenty of grass, fishing available. Would have graded higher, except ANTS!! Make sure you spray hoses, electrical cords, jacks, tires with ant spray. Some use Comet Powder Pot cleaner around RV. Office will spray area if asked. It is a beautiful Campground. No Wi-Fi or cable. Over the air TV available. - silverado
Dec 2015 - $40.00
I would give it a 10 if it had cable TV and Wi-Fi. We had a pull through and was level but some sites the picnic table is on the wrong side. The laundry was good, it is in the open. - hotpepperkid

We stayed here for 2 nights. Site was spacious. Hookups worked fine. Grounds were clean. Restrooms could be better with a sink. Location is good. Everything seemed right until returning back from 12 hours at Disney to find our airstream infested with ants. Upon looking for the source, we found the entire gravel pad under the trailer was a massive ant nest. They came up the hookup cable and hoses, the tires, the jacks. We literally spent the next 3 days killing ants. The morning after finding this we reported it to the manager. His response was 'ya. Oh well.' I would not recommend this place after that experience, which not only ruined our time in Anaheim, but ruined the rest of our trip. Beware. - Leverace
May 2017 - $60.00
Easy access from I-91, wide paved roads, large gravel sites, site was level, good satellite reception, lots of green space giving the RV park a wide open feel, big rig friendly, Perfect - Lama79
Jan 2017 - $43.00
If you're visiting the Los Angeles area, there are limited choices for parking your RV. This one is in Anaheim right on the 91 freeway about 8 miles west of Corona, CA. It is adjacent to a wilderness area along the Santa Ana River and a paved bike path that follows the river. However, the freeway is busy 24/7 so be aware that you will have road noise. The RV park is large with lots of trees and open space. Driveways are asphalt and site pads are either gravel or asphalt. I had an asphalt back in site with full hookups (50 amp electric). It was a large site with a picnic table, fire ring and plenty of space to park my car. Bathrooms are OK, didn't use showers. There is no internet service. I paid $42.85 per night based on a weekly rate with senior discount. - Coopsecondact

Jun 2017 - $70.00
We chose this park because of it being close to Disneyland. There is a shuttle that stops next door but Disneyland is an easy walk of about a half mile. We had an extra wide back in spot and were able to have room on one side to have our awning out with a picnic table and room for two vehicles on the other. The hook ups are at the back of the site so I had to use extensions for the water and sewer. Could connect to WiFi the first day but not the rest of the days. We were also able to see the fireworks from our RV. The bathrooms/shower are outdated but clean and could use a remodel. The pool looked nice but we did not use it. - CoastCamper
Jul 2015 - $53.00
Used it to park our tent trailer while we visited Disney. Was okay, but didn't stay there really, just parked and slept.
Had electricity, and bathrooms seemed taken care of. Clean park. - Gimmeanathlon
Jun 2015 - $53.00
When you enter the park you think "looks great and green", that quickly changes into "this is bad". The service is the worst you can imagine. Personal activities are more important than customers, excuse me? They let me wait until they had discussed with a friend whether or not they would join the drinking party that evening. No smiles, no kindness, very bad attitude!
The restrooms and showers are outdated. The campsites have different sizes and it is up to the staff if you get a great spot with grass and a picnic table or if your windows are 2 inch apart of your neighbors.
A park can be made as good looking as you want, when the service you get is not good, it does not matter - Palazzo fan
