We had originally planned to stay at a different facility when we discovered Dutcher Creek while browsing RV Park Reviews. We drove there to check it out and spoke to the manager. She had C17 available (their only pull-through) and we took it! Beautiful view, very quiet, and a level concrete pad with plenty of room for slideouts. Yes, the driveway is quite steep with switchbacks, but we made it just fine towing a 36' fifth wheel. Will definitely be back. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

There are only about 9 sites available for short term rental. About half have concrete pads. Ours, probably usually reserved for the park manager, was just awesome! The others range from good to great. Traveling with a friend? One very large, beautiful buddy site is available. The challenge to this park is the relatively steep switchback road to it. We elected to disconnect the dinghy. Next time we will do that in front of MGM brake, next to the Shell station at the next offramp north. Also, our rig is very tall. Navigating thru the trees in & out of the neighborhood leading to the park as carefully as I could, I still made contact with a few branches. As long as the coach wasn't damaged (and it was not), it was worth it. We found a lot to do in the area but mostly enjoyed just staying at this beautiful site. Nothing for kids to do here, but it is a great place for adults to spend time just sitting around the rig soaking up the beautiful, quiet scenery. Very nice park managers. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For a first time visit, if in a motorhome, take the dinghy up first to sign in. This will reassure you that the initially intimidating hill is very manageable.

Park manager met us outside after office hours and escorted us to a site (17) with a tremendous view of the Anderson valley. This park is on top of a hill with a very steep approach with 2 switchback turns in. Do not let this bother you, it is doable with any rig. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this campsite through rvparkreviews, and we're very happy we did! The managers were extremely friendly and helpful. The drive from 101 to the campground was very easy,

yes you travel through a small neighborhood and go up a fairly steep driveway that is by the way very wide. We had absolutely no problems and when you get to the top the view is wonderful! Lots of space and options for turning. This campground is under new ownership and new management so do not be turned off by older reviews. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a very small park and reservations are highly suggested. We were very frustrated while traveling South on 101 looking for a place to stay in the Napa/Santa Rosa areas. We read review after review and became very concerned for where we would stay. Always using RV Park Reviews we stumbled across reviews about this park. At first reading about the road to get to the park and the steep grade (hill, well actually side of a mountain) was disconcerting to say the least. Actually, with good reason when you first begin the trek but we made it without problems in our 40' RV with tow. And wow were we glad we did. What a drop dead gorgeous view of the Alexander Valley and all its glory. If fact, we extended our stay for two more nights just to enjoy the view and surrounding wine country. Management was very attentive to the guest and although the park does have full time residents they are in a totally different section of the park. We stayed in space 14. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We really liked this park a lot. It was convenient to the freeway, and the drive in was not a problem at all, through a very green neighborhood and up a curved driveway. Everything was beautifully cared for. We were in site 17, a pull-through with a lovely valley view out one side, and the very nice pool out the other. There is an old stone fish pond by the pool and plenty of comfortable poolside seating. The manager was as nice as any we have ever encountered. This place shows a lot of care and attention on the part of the management and we found it to be an excellent, quiet, scenic place to stay. We will return. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice little RV park up on a hill. The sites are right by the sparkling pool. The camp managers, were the nicest managers we have met. One went above and beyond helping us get a satellite signal with our tailgater. Lots to do and see in the area. We would definitely stay here again. Finding parks parks with access for 45' motorhome in the Napa/Sonoma area is limited mostly due to public road access. California DOT limits a lot of the local roads to 40' or less without a tow. Butcher Creek is right off the 101 and although the access road is via neighborhoods, the owners of the park regularly trim trees . Their private access road although steep is very navigable even with a tow. Once you get up you're in a little gem of an RV resort. the overnighters circle the pool, and giant trees provide some shade but not total. Access / maneuverability in park where nightly/weekly spots are are easy to get into. 50 amps reliable. Satellite is sketchy due to trees but tried twice to connect and second time found all satellite connections. Wi-Fi strong and reliable and free. Local shopping about mile away in Cloverdale. The Healdsburg area of wineries is about 10 miles away but no parks there especially for 45'. Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Dutcher Creek RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.
