This a beautiful SKP Park. Gate code entry, and all utilities worked well. Down side was not being able to use washer/ dryer in our coach, but laundry was $1.50 for super load, and . 25c every 15 min to dry. Very quiet, AT&T cell signal a little weak, but Vz cell worked well. This is one of the first parks we have been to that their wifi actually worked, and worked quite nicely. Wooded sites. Alot of mosquitoes at sun down. Lots and lots of yellow pollen from trees. We managed to get roof top DTV some how. Overall, an excellent park! We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About an hour to Yosemite entrance. There is a Vons in Oakhurst, about 15 up the road. The unleaded gas there was more expensive than in Coarsegold, and made our truck ( unleaded ) ping. Propane is offered in the park on Monday and Wednesday am only for cylinders. $2.08 a gallon, which is a bargain in the area.

Extremely nice park. Very clean. Activities. Rec room. Large Laundry room. Craft room. Library. Large Video library. Woodshop. This park was run like a well oiled machine. Very friendly people. More like a hilly state park instead of RVs all in a row. Well planned sites with concrete pads. Good Wifi. Cable TV. Lovely park.

The only con was that one could not use their washer, or dishwasher or be fined a hefty fine. They have 33 septic systems that are costly to keep maintained and ask that you use the laundry on site. I would have given this a 10 if I could have used my own washing machine. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

El Cid and South Gate Brewery are great places to eat in Oakhurst about 10 miles away. Reimers Ice Cream in Oakhurst was a fun place too. Robert's Frosty and Gold Rush Pizza in Coarsegold were very good too.

I've never given a 10 rating before, but I can' think of anything they could do better. This park is clearly designed and operated by full time RV'ers who really love it. The sites are very spacious and the terrain adds great views and additional privacy to most of them.

The facilities are impeccably maintained. The grounds are immaculate. Volunteers are everywhere working on keeping everything up. We had a cable TV issue and 15 minutes after I mentioned it to the park manager three knowledgable, "experienced" guys showed up to fix it. Problem solved.

The park only uses about half of their 140 acre site. The rest is reserved for trails and open space. We had no lack of exercise and the dogs loved it.

Even the WIFI works. AT&T data and phone signals are strong. With cable we never tried OTA TV.

Our site was very spacious, private and quiet. We could barely see the neighbors. The roads can be tight, but we had no problems in a 43' motorhome, especially with the escort service provided. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Good grocery shopping and most other services in Oakhurst, ~10 miles away.

Crab Cakes Restaurant food was average at best and expensive.

The casino was unglamorous and dull.

Lots of great back roads to explore.

Reimer's Ice Cream in Oakhurst is worth the drive.

We had a beautiful, level, tree lined site that was more than long enough for our 40' fifth wheel and 20' long truck. Volunteers escorted us to our site and assisted with back in. All utilities were well positioned. We were asked not to use our washer because of septic tank limitations. That was easy because the laundry room was very clean with a dozen washers and dozen dryers all in good condition. A load cost a total of $2.00 for washing and drying. The campground is gated, and we felt very safe. Cable worked well. AT&T had strong signal. Most of the RVers were permanent or seasonal residents. We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed the lovely park and friendly campers. Residents are mostly 70+ in age, and there is no pool. It is quiet and restful. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is 10 minutes from a large casino. It is 45 minutes from Yosemite park's southern entrance, and two hours from the middle of the park at the valley floor. Fresno is 28 miles south.

Escapee rate with a special discount for first time guests and includes electric. There is no sign on Highway 41 directing you to the park and the access road, Road 416 from Highway 41 is a steep downhill turn off of the Highway. Our Site was FHU. 50 amp, back-in, gravel and level with a concrete patio. The site was located on a hill in a Manzanita grove. Roads are narrow with some low tree branches that rubbed the roof and side of our motorhome. The site was challenging to back into because of the narrow roads, but once we were settled it was well worth the effort. This is one of the better SKP Co-op parks. Good satellite reception. Good park WiFi reception. Good Verizon cell and MiFi reception. Very clean laundry facilities. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Very unusual park with staggered sites inserted into shady nooks with nice, woodsy views. Electric is included in the fee and Wifi is good as well as Verizon coverage. Cable TV included, also. Yes, the roads are very twisty and some fairly steep but it's worth the navigation. The office staff are volunteers and some seem a bit confused at times but all are extremely nice as are the residents. Many bird species abound and there are lovely walking trails within the huge park. I stayed a little over two weeks and would return. One caveat: Watch out for kamikaze golf carts. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Rate includes electric add on. Interior roads are too twisty-turny narrow in spots. Sites are OK but some have level issues. Most activities are geared toward "sit down" lifestyle, and our impression is the bulk of members are at the older end of the spectrum as far as 55+ communities go. This is a good location for trips to Yosemite, but otherwise it is off the beaten path as far as civilization (re: major shopping) is concerned. Some areas in park are a bit overgrown and need maintenance. Overall a quiet park, nice layout, lots of shade trees, and lengthy roads for walking the dogs (with fenced dog run near clubhouse). Clubhouse is large, has a small video/cd/book library, and various exercise equipment. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects a promotional rate. This is a gorgeous park and could have been a "10" except for some minor nits. The park is set in a hilly area with sites dropped in where they could which makes for great views and lots of room between sites. The route to our site was very narrow in spots and appreciated the drive thru via golf cart first and then the golf cart leading us. Each of the areas are on septic so they definately stay here again though we would just be better prepared for the restrictions. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice rural park set in the trees. There area a few sites that are satellite friendly. The site we had was gravel and quite large with a nice view. You have a cement patio. Lots of bluebirds around. The road noise was barely noticeable. The roads are narrow and twisty. I'm not exactly sure how I am going to make the turn out of here when I leave. It is true that you are not allowed to use your own washing machine or dishwasher. The dog run is near the clubhouse so you may need to drive to it. They claim to have about 5 miles of roads in the park. The traffic and access to and from the park on Hwy 41 is terrible. It is like LeMans in the way the locals drive. This park is only for Escapees club members. We would return but probably would not buy into this park. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

The rate shown is the daily rate ($16/day) and averaged electric usage (calculated at the end of your stay based on actual use.) This is such a pretty park. Everyone we met had a smile and welcoming words for us. The park is super organized and immaculately kept. All the work done within the park (with the exception of a couple of paid workers) is done by the park residents as volunteers. We like to walk, and found that between the roads within the park, and the trails outside the park proper, we could easily walk 5+ miles. We really enjoyed our stay here, and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

The rate given above reflects the daily rate plus electricity. It was very hot while we were there, so we used a lot of electricity! This is our all-time favorite RV park. The sites, which are level, with modern, working hook-ups, are thoughtfully laid out over hilly, wooded terrain. This is a rural setting which we like. There are several areas of open space near-by, conducive for walking. The folks here are either full-time RVers, or people retired from full-time traveling, but staying here in their motor homes or fifth wheels. They are a friendly bunch and fun to socialize with. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.

This is a great park to be close to Yosemite. The members who live here are very friendly. Our site was a pull through, but getting to it took some doing as the roads to the different sites are quite curvy and narrow. Chukchansi casino is 1 mile up 41. We would return when in the area. Probably the best layout of all RV Parks we have stayed in ever. The sites are spread out in a hilly area with lots of trees and shrubs. Even in the few parallel sites you keep your privacy. Perfect hookups, very level and good size sites. Wi-Fi was the best we ever had since one repeater was right on our site. Nice clubhouse and lots of activities. Very friendly staff and very friendly fellow campers. We stayed for nine days and would have stayed longer if it wasn't for the traffic noise from the nearby state road. It depends a lot on where your site is located in the park; there are some fully exposed to the road noise, some are very quiet. For groceries you need to drive to Oakhurst, about 16 miles away. We'll return for sure and hope for a quieter site next time. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park in a pretty rolling hill setting. Sites are large, level and most are shaded. Nice large gated dog run with lights available for night use. Yosemite is about an hour and a quarter away. Roads from the RV park to Yosemite are in great shape. People at the park are very friendly and helpful. We camped at Park of the Sierras - Escapees Park in a Motorhome.
