We had a good time because of the folks we were with. And it was close to Columbia--a very cool place to visit. Also, if you are in the area, make sure you visit Sonora. However, I cannot recommend the park for the following reasons: 1. Very, very, VERY run down. Nothing seemed in good repair. 2. Cable was "out" and there were no plans to repair it since it was too expensive. 3. The owner gave our phone number to another camper because the other camper thought one of our friends broke his tail light when leaving. This was a non kosher move. I had to leave our phone number as part of the check-in process. He had no business giving it out to another--for any reason. 4. Nothing but some folding chairs and an old pool table in the "clubhouse." 5. The only TV that was available was in the laundry room. 6. No fire pits, though that's OK since Calif is full of "no burn" days. 7. Wi Fi was non existent. Had to use my phone's hot spot for internet access. 8. The campground has trees in the middle of the road. They are pretty, but pose obstacles that make it a challenge to navigate around as we attempt to back in. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

.Maintenance is lacking in the park. This literally is in a quarry. All dirt sites. Lots of shade trees in bottom section, but few where we stayed. Nice desk folks. Would not stay here again . We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We did not make reservations early enough for visiting Yosemite, so had to stay in Columbia. Too far from park, but roads closer can provide challenge for rvs. Check put elevation on California road number before you choose to park. I would not ever try to see Yosemite except off season. We had 2-3 hour waits inside park.

Overall Rating:

This park was average. Very quiet and peaceful, friendly staff. There was lots to see and do in the area. 30 amp was not adequate for required service. No maintenance was done during our entire stay, trash was overflowing, sites were not clean. With a little maintenance this could be a great park. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very pleased with our one-night stay. The grounds were clean and well-designed. Registration was quick and easy. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The pool was small but very clean. Although we did not use the restrooms and showers, they seemed clean and safe. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The short walk to Columbia was pleasant and easy; however, the ground is covered with little thorny plants such as burrs, etc. that became stuck in our dogs' paws. Columbia itself was a delight!

Nice park, with a walking trail into Columbia. Good amenities and quiet. Showers needed some cleanup and maintenance, but otherwise a very nice stay. Camped two nights and three days, and would return again. Rates competitive and access to sites is very good. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

With kids, take the stagecoach ride in Columbia, then enjoy a sasaparilla in the saloon nearby. Nice shops and interesting gold rush buildings.

The park is small but very clean and the sites are nice. The walk to downtown Columbia is only 5 minutes away as is the old marble quarry. The town of Murphys is only a few miles away to drive to. Would definitely recommend this campground to friends. For the price it is worth it! We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Umm...the parking spot was fairly level. There was 30-amp electric hook-up. It was rustic and quiet That's about all the positive things I can think of.

They advertise cable, but it didn't work. When I asked about it, she said "good days, we can usually get 2 or 3 stations"! I was able to pull in CBS from the antenna, and a fuzzy Fox. The "pull thru" slot we were assigned wasn't, a 25-foot rig may have been able to maneuver in around the table and fire pit, but not our 40-footer. There was a combination store/office/shower/restroom at the entrance. Most spots are partially shaded, and there's plenty of space around some, others are crowded together. There's a walking trail to a disused marble quarry, maybe 5 minutes, but if you take a dog, he'll be covered in "sticky burrs" once you're done - I speak from experience! The park was not designed for big rigs; a couple of sharp bends, with nice big chunks of marble lining the road edges! We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park was fairly quiet, but the gravel sites were anything but level. The road to the park was very rough but short. The wi-fi worked well but the camp has the security set very high so that many sites were unusable, but that isn't always a bad thing. The staff was friendly and the park was clean, just make sure you have plenty of leveling blocks with you. I would stay at this park again. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park. A little difficult to get to pulling a 36 ft fifth wheel. Small roads with lots of turns. The sites are fairly small and not easy to pull into. We stayed in site 49. It was okay but had it been really hot you would have no shade. Sites 74 and 73 would be a great choice for access and shade. Short walk to Columbia, which is a great town. Lots of activities We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Good location for many attractions within Columbia and Jamestown. This campground is next to the Columbia Heritage State Park, which includes many attractions and restaurants. Park layout made some sites difficult to get in and out of. Trash cans were overfilling during our week stay. Many campers were long term, and these RVs appeared rough, which presented a negative look on the park. Campground staff was friendly, but this park needs some TLC. We suggest visiting the Jamestown Railtown and Columbia Heritage State Park. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Due to the size of our motorhome were placed on the top tier of this terraced campground. It was easy to get in and out of but really a dirty place to park. Water was OK, the sewer hookups are, well, weird. Count 'em: 6 TV channels. There are no dog breed restrictions here and there is dog poop everywhere and barking dogs are a regular occurrence. There was quite a bit of trash on the ground that the groundskeepers would drive by and ignore. The Wi-Fi did not work at all and the office could only offer that sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. We won't be returning here. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff, level gravel sites. The WiFi is great and includes a limited amount of cable channels. A little difficult to get to but we found it. Our site is shaded and very nice size. We would stay here again and used Passport America. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Motorhome.

This rv park is one of the best I have ever stayed in, friendly and fun staff, lots of local activity, nearby Columbia old town within walking distance. scenery is beautiful, sites are accommodating. I can't say anything bad about this park :-) and very pet friendly! We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our rate reflects the Passport America deal. However they do not honor Passport America on Friday or Saturday and do not take reservations for Passport America. We paid full price on Friday and Saturday (with a 10% senior discount) then got the half price deal on Sunday. This is a very nice park in easy walking distance of the state park in Columbia and a short drive to Sonora. WiFi was some of the best I've seen in a wide open park like this, really nice! The spaces are well apart from each other with a natural setting, no fences between spots. The spots are scattered around the park in a natural setting - very nice. We camped at Marble Quarry RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
