Stayed for 8 days in 45' MH with a 26' Cargo trailer and Pickup. Long sites, gravel and very level, ours was particularly long (A3). Each site has a row of olive trees between them leading to a very spacious feel. Easy on and off to I-5 and the noise can be an issue if you are outside, we didn't hear it in the coach. Strong Verizon signal and no problems with sat reception. Park had a water issue while we were there and the Mgmt was on top of it, getting it repaired promptly and issuing alerts about using the water. At least 2/3rds of the park are long termers, welcome to the new American scene, but friendly and sites were clean and orderly; mgmt stays on top of it. The nearby Woodson Regional Park has a great area for walking the dog near the river. Your nearest big box vendors are in Chico, about 25 miles away. We have this park on our short list and would definitely stay here again. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 12 nights and used the weekly rate. Checkin was quick and easy. Our site was next to the bathrooms as the WiFi was best there. The WiFi was not useable at all, very slow to not opening pages. If a campground advertises WiFi it should work.

The setting is beautiful, you are in an Olive tree grove. We watched workers pick olives almost every day. Our pull thru site was level and long. There is a little noise from the interstate.

We visited several of the Olive businesses in the area. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Corning Olive Oil Company for the tour and education. We are still enjoying our olives from the Olive Pit store. Take the time to visit Olive businesses and learn about olives: quite interesting.

Don't count on the WiFi here.

Nice and level pull-thrus among older olive trees. Excellent cable TV reception. Grass lawns around each site very green and well maintained. WiFi good. Only drawback was that it was close to the I-5 freeway. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have reviewed this RV park in the past and thought that I would do it again because of a change in management. Good news folks: new management is keeping this just as nice for us this year as it was under the previous mgmt in 2015. This is important because great strides were made to make this a nice place for motorhome sand towables. The new manager is doing her job well. As others have written, this park has a pleasant setting amidst the olive trees and is a great 1-2 night stop heading north or south on I-5 south of Redding. My only negative is that it doesn't have cable and we are told that the cable distributor has refused to connect it to their system even thought the cable connections are on the post. Some sites will have a little difficulty getting a satellite signal from a roof mounted unit due to the trees. Not a problem for us though, we will return. For sure. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I always recommend the Olive Pit over the freeway from this RV park. Best olives stuffed with so many different options. Also, if you are running a little low on gasoline, there is a Loves with an RV lane much like what Flying J and Pilot offers us.

Rate based on weekly. Overall a nice park located in an old olive grove. All sites have gnarly olive trees, which provides for a nice setting. FHU worked well. Layout is standard rows of pull-throughs, but spacious enough compared to other parks we have visited. Lots of permanent residents, overall well kept but a few minor surprises (dogs occasionally noisy, etc.). Caretaker very attentive and hard-working, and it shows--we thought everything was well maintained and good-looking. Lots of road noise because of proximity to I-5 (but that also means access is very easy). Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We very much enjoyed visiting the Lucero Olive Company, in Corning. The tour was pretty quick (it's not that large nor complex) but interesting. Their products are outstanding (if a bit pricey). Also, Black Butte Lake Recreational Area is a 30-minute drive away, with lots of hiking trails and a nice lake (swimming, fishing, boating).

Good experience. Set in the middle of an olive grove. Many permanent residents, but the park was very clean and well maintained. Not much in the way of amenities and not much to do in Corning, but sites large and level. Very friendly staff and neighbors. Large dog run. Fairly quiet - great Thanksgiving dinner at the Rolling Hills Casino. Great place for a layover or just a few days to unwind. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New owners have cleaned and updated this cute park. Surrounded by olive trees, the 60 ft pull-throughs are very comfortable. The new dog run is a great bonus. Right off Highway 5, which is perfect for an overnight stay or longer. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

Chose a fully shaded pull-thru site close to the office. No dog walk or cable, but there are a number of OTA stations in the area. Enjoyed watching the cattle right across the street. Park is far enough from the freeway that it was pretty quiet. No complaints. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have been visited this park 5 times in about 8 years. With new management it has never l0oked better. The owner/manager (Paula) is a delight to do business with. The park is set in an olive grove and the trees are trimmed to allow plenty of room for slide outs. The shade provided by the olive trees is welcomed in the hot summer months. The pull throughs are long and level. No problem with water pressure and we had 50amp service. I stayed here 3 weeks ago on the way north on I-5 and am now here again on the way south. I will stay here again, for sure. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.

The owners are very kind and helpful, I felt they went above and beyond to help us with a frustrating situation. They are pet friendly, there is a fenced in off leash area, lots of pretty trees and grass areas, good room between sites, clean and secure bathrooms/showers, free WiFi and fair prices with various discounts available. They have only owned the park for less than a year, and you can tell they have put a lot of hard work into it to be very nice. There are a lot of long term residents, but all sites kept very nice and neat. One possible down fall is you can hear the freeway traffic, but we actually enjoyed it as we live in the country and it was a nice change. I would stay there again, and recommend the park. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Huge sites, beautiful old olive trees for shade, grass between sites. If space is your priority, this is the place. The managers here could not have been nicer. They really made this park excellent. This park was recently purchased by new owners in spring 2014 and they have completely transformed the place. This is a great place to stop in this area. Only negative is proximity to freeway which means some noise. But it didn't keep me from sleeping well. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I stayed here previously in 2003. (See first review.) Have to say that I was disappointed in the condition of this park. The sites are still grass and gravel. The trees are still in all their glory. The roads are kind of rough. We never did see the manager. Self registered and found our own site. There are a lot of full-timers. Some of the sites are run down, but it was quiet. I'll probably stay here again because it is handy to town. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Motorhome.
