Staff was super helpful since we came in late. Easy in and out for our big rig. Only had 30 amp but parking lot was all paved so no mud to deal with in the rain. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived in the rain, wind and dark 10 minutes after the office closed. While trying to figure out the late check-in procedure, some one suddenly appeared, unlocked the office, signed us in and gave us a very reasonable price (took pity on us). As others have reported, it's basically a paved parking lot, but that's a good thing in the rain. Full hookups, no picnic tables, no playround, no dog area, but clean and quiet. We'd stay here again for an overnight. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

BaysideRV met our needs. We were looking for a rustic campground but the it rained a lot so we opted for this RV Park with hookups and solid footings for the leveling jacks. The spaces aren't very long (except for the pull throughs but are wide enough to fit a toad or a tow vehicle along side. Everybody around me had 30 amps as 50 amps is not avail. There is no ambience to this park as it is a parking lot with paint striping and the back side is a bunch of old boats stored on blocks. The wifi was good as was the cable and the ATT cell service. A foghorn sounds every 10 seconds out on the jetty along with the sea lions honking but both were OK and not a distraction. This park is very near lots of restaurants. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

A most personable and genuine couple are the managers (owners?) Over-the-phone reservation was easy, and everything known ahead of time if we arrived after the office closed. We did arrive in time, despite delay and detour for a bad accident on US101, and we settled in soon after.

Sites are gravel, level and have concrete patios; the combination power/water/cable demarcs are the high-end equipment, and on a concrete pad, as is the sewer (which is NOT higher than your tank connection, as is often the case). PLENTY of water pressure (good tasting too), and power is clean 123 VAC on each leg (30/50A).

There is also lots of room between sites. Open your slides, and there's still room for a tent or two between you and the next coach. Folks have griped about the "foghorn," we hardly heard it, and there's little to no street noise (we were here on Sunday night).

Didn't use them, but showers/restrooms were clean and up to date (we looked). A few "seasonal" folks, but every site was neat and tidy. No worries about your outside kit "growing legs" during the night, either.

This place isn't one of those "golf-resort" outfits, but it's a nice park, handy to stores, and well-priced. We'll stay here again, if we're back on the north California coast. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is a big parking lot with few trees and little grass. The spots are short but wide. Big rigs just barely fit. I think most people come for the fishing season as I saw many boats parked next to RV's. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The showers were old, but very clean with plenty of hot water. The WiFi was slow, but not terrible. The park is next to the California Coastal Trail so it is great for walking or biking. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overnight stop driving up the coast. Big open blacktop lot with mostly back in sites. Pull through sites are a combination to 2 back to back pull in sites, which worked mostly OK with a little extra leveling. FHU which worked fine, but as usual wifi was hit and miss. Easy access in and out right at the port. Some permanent residence, which were mostly fine. Easy access into Crescent City. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Definitely walk over to the new port docks at the north end and read about how the tsunami in Japan actually devastated the port there.

Nothing fancy but for California $35 isn't bad. Quite a few very old motor homes here as it looks like people live here or come on weekend. For being old though it was clean and hookups easy. We did have a problem with our electric going off but maybe it was due to some storms in area; but use a surge protector! Not on beach but behind a marina. Close to Chart House and where seals lay out to sun. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good location if you don't want to park in the Redwoods. Try CC diner for burgers and ice cream. Take a walk to lighthouse (we drove our car down to park which is about 2 miles away)

The park is located right off of hiway 101 in Crescent City. It has good sewage and water hook ups. It is on asphalt and easy to navigate. Staff was helpful and we had a good experience here. We have stayed twice. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Older RV park that is walking distance to the harbor, beach and barking seals. Great for walking the dogs. Clean bathrooms and showers. The paved sites are very close together but reasonable in price. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is simple and to the point. The bathrooms are clean, showers are clean, laundry is inexpensive ($2.00 wash, $0.75 dryer), and service was very friendly. There are no frills; if you're after an RV resort then you won't like this place. We don't care about those sorts of things and just wanted a good value in a good location. We stayed here during the government shutdown and couldn't get into Redwoods NP and this park is minutes away. A number of state parks are also nearby. The park is an easy 3 minute walk to the beach and harbor. Expect to hear the barking of seals! We were assigned two spots (B11 and B12) so we'd have a place to park our truck. I don't know if this is standard practice or just a courtesy during the off-season (early October). Spots were long enough that I had room to open the rear ramp on my toy hauler to pull out a motorcycle. Wi-Fi was reliable enough to stream video and we watched a number of TV shows on our computer without much issue. It would slow down during the early evening. We assume we were very close to an antenna being 50' away from the offices. There are a handful of permanent residents who were pleasant. The only thing we didn't like here was a recurring tone that goes off every 8 seconds that we assume is for ship navigation. Its volume varied but for the most part was audible every day during our 5 nights. Price was great, $28/night and weekly rates are $140. Very good for the location and amenities. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was not our first choice, but it turned out to be okay. It is basically a huge asphalt parking lot adjacent to a boat yard and the marina. Our rate was based on a pull through which is two back to back sites. It could use a good cleaning up, since many of sites are occupied by old permanent type and seasonal residents. Utilities seemed to be new and worked well. We were entertained by the activity of renovation of the marina after the 2011 tsunami, and the shops and restaurants nearby. We probably would look for another park next time. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park has both back-in and pull-through sites, but, oddly enough, these are the same sites. You can either back into a single space, or pull through the space and drive *over* the grass median into a second site. In effect, “pull-throughs” use two back-to-back RV slots and back-ins only one. We chose to pull through, which turned out not to be a great idea because the utility hook-ups are designed for back-in. Still, the sites are both long and wide. The park doesn’t have much landscaping, but you are within walking distance of the ocean. We walked to the nearby harbor and saw sea lions that had taken over a dock. The bathrooms and laundry room are nice and spacious, but not very clean. The manager was friendly and helpful. She gave us great pointers on where to go for sightseeing. Our Verizon air card worked well, and we had excellent cell coverage. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park has FHU, 70 channel cable, and WIFI in a parking lot type setting. The sites are adequate if the park isn't very full but would be claustrophobic if it was. As previously mentioned, you can walk into town as well as nearby restaurants, the harbor, and several other RV parks. Not a great park, but certainly adequate for overnight or a few days to see the area. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.
