We have stayed here a couple of times in the last few years and both times were a wonderful experience. The neighborhood looks a little tough and a lot of the campers are contractors working in the refineries close by. During our first visit (new to RVing at that point) we were assisted in backing into a tight spot by the campers next door. Once we got set up, they invited us to experience some Louisiana cooking. We did and had a great time. They were doing some contract work at the refinery and provided GREAT stories over the next few hours. Most recent stay was during the fires in Napa Valley. Again, great neighbors and pretty quiet considering the campground was full and there was a lot of drama with the fire refugees and such. We left a bit early to make room for the evacuees coming in. I could not complete this review without commenting on the lady at the front desk. She was so helpful, always calm, and just an absolutely great representative of the owner's of this campground. Site was very tight for our motorhome with a slide on each side. I would stay here again the next time I am in the area. - Old Traveler-66
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Park is located in a very "seedy" community. Lot's of vagrants hanging around the park, the street in front, the slummy looking motel next door. We didn't feel safe & were scared when we left our coach. There were a number of what appeared to be abandoned RV's in park with flat tires, broken glass, etc. Mostly permanent party campers that were blue collar workers rather than tourists. We felt like we were definitely NOT in the right place as tourists. Spaces very narrow. With slides out you can barely walk between units. Picnic table is a waste & in the way because of the skinny sites. Laundry room was filthy, lint dust everywhere. No change available and office was not available according to their hours posted. They opened late and closed early so office was undependable! Female working the reception desk had a bad attitude! Always! She wouldn't take her eyes off of her computer and would ask, "Do you need something?" No good morning, Hi, How can I help you, etc, etc. Made me feel that I was putting her out every time I entered the office. There was a vagrant watching our unit, sitting across from us in a car for over 2 hours one morning. When I reported it to the camp hosts they were sassy and told me off for not minding my own business! This was the worst RV park experience in my life. I've been camping & RV'ing since the 1960's. - Denny L
Mar 2016 - $35.00
Good friendly service for a big city campground. Most units appeared to be long-term people working in the area. Hwy noise is prominent. Site not level despite asphalt pad. Two foot grass patch between sites. Laundry on site. Wifi slow, cable Is mostly SD channels and grainy. - Sasquatchewan

We stayed in a 37 ft motorhome and it was tight getting to our site. Once in site we could open both slides and still have some room. Park is run down but the manager couple are working on upgrades. 50 amp power was issue, had low voltage on one leg but we got by. Water, you need a regulator as I was told by the manager, did have sewer. No wifi or cable. We used for base since we were here to visit San Francisco and the rate was ok. Several residents with old campers, they were living in. We would not stay again. No picnic tables. - belanga

1. Agree with two reviews preceeding mine. The place is ok for a 1-nighter but we didn't sleep well. Probably over reacting but sometimes you just gotta trust your gut. 2. The maintenance guy, Bart, and neighbor Debbie were super friendly. We arrived late and both came out to help us right away and make sure we settled in fine and told us where we could park our tow rigs. 3. We were told to lock our doors and that sometimes cars just drive through the place. 4. Super close to six flags, which is why we stayed here. 5. Stayed one night and are moving to Marin RV Park. - fandrica
Jun 2012 - $30.00
First the good things about this park: location, location, location. The park is in Valejo, within a 15 minute drive to the ferry where there is free parking and a ferry with a one hour ride to San Francisco. The price we paid reflects the weekly rate, and seemed quite reasonable for RV parks in the San Francisco area. The operators of this park are very helpful. Now for the negative. This is an older park, not particularly attractive, mostly occupied by permanent residents who live in older rigs. The hookups all work, but they are old and antiquated. For example the electrical hookup was on a post about 6 feet off the ground. There are a couple of newer sites, but they were really too short for our 40 foot RV, so we chose a site next to the permanent or semi-permanent residents. We stayed here for 2 weeks, and given its reasonable price and great location, we would stay here again. - hoppytoad

My rate was monthly. The spot I got was awesome, a little close to the neighbors but had decent space as it was on the corner. The absolute worst management I have ever encountered in all my years traveling. The female manager is just a miserable person and makes sure to let you know it by being extremely rude and dishonest. It was such an upsetting experience, I will never go near there again. - Papa O
May 2010 - $30.00
This is mostly a mobile home park. There are sites for RVs and some have been there a very long time. The park is poorly maintained. The limited staff is friendly. It has very limited laundry. There is some train noise in the park. Likely would not stay there again. Parking a 40' MH was very difficult and I had to trim some trees to get in. - Workamper04

Apr 2018 - $30.00
This multi-use park has spaces for tent and RV camping. It is located on the south side of Napa, CA. There are pull-through as well as back-in spaces. There are a few full hook-up sites, others are water and electric only. We had a pull-through with water and 50 amp electric. The driveways and site pads are gravel/dirt. There is free WiFi but it was of marginal value. Bathrooms were kept clean. There's plenty of open space in the park as well as trails for hiking, biking and horses. Altogether, nothing special here but an OK place to park if you want to visit the Napa Valley. We paid $30 per night with Good Sam discount. - Coopsecondact
Dec 2017 - $33.00
Perfect spot to visit all that Napa has to offer. Small park surrounded by Napa hills, few blocks from downtown. Full hookups. We had a back in that backed to another trailer. Try to avoid if possible. Gravel spot with green space nearby. We travel almost full time and surprised by negative reviews. Was much better than reflected by negative on this site. Verizon 3G worked well. WiFi passable. Would definitely return. - smitty12
Aug 2017 - $32.00
Basically, this is a dusty, gravel parking lot with a few trees and hookups. Sites are right on top of one another, and very narrow and short. They have some logs between sites for separation. Also, the hookups are paired together so that every other site faces the other direction. For back-in sites, you either have to run your hose and electric cord underneath your vehicle or head into your site if the post is on the wrong side. It is not a place I would want to eat outdoors or even sit outdoors because of the gravel and dust, and walking is difficult because of sharp, dry grass and stickers. Today, one 5th wheel is hanging out making it hard to drive past it, even in a pickup truck. Luckily, I have my own WiFi because campground service is very weak and not really usable. There are really only two places to camp in Napa, and the other is at the fairgrounds and closed to others for most of the month of August, so I ended up here. Will plan my visit better next year to stay there. - judy_online

Nov 2017 - $50.00
Pulled in here way after hours. Next day I tried to extend my stay, but they could not accommodate me. VERY nice camp host and reservations staff helped me find another campground in the area. Campground is nice with huge sites (just not too many of them), grass, and it was pretty quiet. Concrete site was 70+ feet long and pretty level. GREAT place to stay when in the area. - Old Traveler-66
Oct 2017 - $45.00
Stayed here to enjoy Napa and tour the wineries. Excellent location convenient to everything. Clean, huge, level sites. Rather open and no specific amenities (pool, store, etc) but wasn't staying there for that. Wonderful, helpful camphosts. We were unfortunately there during the fires however the camphosts kept all aware of everything so we were certain to be safe. Additionally they provided accommodations for evacuees and first responders. Wonderful place and absolutely hope to return there. - 2retiresoon
Jun 2017 - $45.00
This is a TINY park tucked into the heart of Napa, California. It has just 30 spaces, and I was lucky enough to get the last available space when I booked two weeks in advance. The park is well designed, and well maintained. There is a bit of road noise from a busy street bordering the park, but the park itself is very quiet. The pads are concrete, with a picnic table available. Shade is minimal, but the excellent weather in Napa during our stay rendered this unnecessary. I had a 45' back-in site, and it was tight parking my truck after disconnecting and auto leveling. The utility hook-ups are located in the middle of the site, so my water hose and electrical cable were at maximum length to reach my connections. Sewer for my trailer was a short run, but if your sewer hook-ups are in the rear, it may be a stretch. - VegasBT

Jan 2018 - $110.00
We have stayed here since 2005, usually several times a year. It's gotten more expensive each year. They say because they are so close and have ferry service to San Francisco just a few blocks away, they can charge the Europeans a lot of money. They also now have more long term people. Some of them we have seen and talked to for more than 10 years. It's clean and certainly central, but we will try another park not so close to the city in the future. - Bobcat1
Jul 2017 - $85.00
In spite of paying $85 per night (including ridiculous California taxes), we really liked this park. The office staff was so helpful in getting us orientated for our first exploration of Frisco. Our site was level, cable TV was good, and WI-FI was very good. Even though we had a narrow back-in site, they let us use the whole site next to us to park our towed---kind of like two sites for the price of one. One nice change was we didn't have to worry about damaging our coach from low electric voltage. We had a steady 122 volts during our entire stay. As with every California campground we have stayed in, finding grassy areas in which to walk dogs is a challenge. At the back of the park, there is some sort of bird sanctuary where dogs can be walked. Sadly, most people seem to feel that since this area is hidden by a fence, it's OK to just let your dog sit. This is nothing by laziness and a complete lack of consideration for others. Shame on all of you. Also, after walking your dogs, check them for burrs as they seem to pick up a lot of them in the ultra-dry grass. We would definitely come back here again, if only to enjoy that beautiful morning fog ! - dhaney1944

A typical tourist park with vans close together. Very clean. Staff meet you as you arrived and sent you to your prebooked site. Gravel with no dirt and very level sites. - Aussie Chums

Oct 2011 - $33.00
Location was OK with access to shops and the ferry terminal. There's no spare space capacity, but the place would benefit from some additional facilities such as things for kids. The hosts were quite informative. - JAMESOPH
May 2011 - $40.00
This park is all about location. Easy access to wide variety of shopping and simple access to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal offering travel to the entire San Francisco Bay Area. A visit here is not about the beauty of the park, it's about visiting the San Francisco area. Some long-term residents offered no ill affects: park is quiet and to the point. Excellent and stable Wi-Fi. Hosts very helpful and informative. - CasaRoll
Mar 2011 - $40.00
It would be generous to call this place anything but a dump. The only redeeming features were the LOCATION (within walking/biking distance of Larkspur Ferry to San Francisco. Excellent Wi-Fi (Through Tengo) and full hook-up where everything worked and worked well. This is not a Campground as such. It is a Parking Lot for RVs & Campers. At $40/night PLUS TAXES it is a very expensive Parking Lot. Some serious effort needs to happen before I would rate this place above a one. Desperate people do desperate things. Like Stay Here. - Saskanna

This is a 12 space park behind the Elk's Lodge. It has full hook ups and is in a great location. The lodge is open for lunch Monday thru Friday and they have steak bbq's on Fridays. The bar is affordable and pours a very good drink. - Mike 9843
Jun 2017 - $30.00
This is a very nice, 12 sites park behind the lodge. Downtown is 1 mile away. It is a great place to be when exploring Napa Valley. Very clean and quiet. Level parking, did not use jacks. Our site had 50 amp, some may only have 30 amp. I was under the impression that they redid them and they all are now 50 amps. If that is important, make sure to check as I'm not sure.
They did raise the price: it is $30 a night now. All are full hookups which is unusual for Elk's Lodges. Nicely landscaped sites. Some people are saying they are close together, I would say they are about normal compared to what I have stayed in. About half can take 40 - 42 foot RV, but it is a tight fit to get into them. No reservations but a great place to stay while touring Napa area. - Gilbert & Gail
May 2017 - $25.00
NOTE: This is a campground for members of a Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk lodge only. Nice little campground on the grounds of the Elks Lodge. Most sites 30 amp service, a couple are 50 amp. All sites have water and sewer. All sites are back-in. Tight driving around the perimeter, but the biggest rigs can make it. While we were there, there was a 45' RV but he could only fit in site #6 - and he was a professional driver! Restrooms are available in the lodge, during their open hours only. Sites are clean. There is a big grassy area to walk your dogs without leaving the park. "Doggie doo" bags are available at two places in the park, with a trash bin to put the filled bags. Overflow parking is available. Entire campground is behind a security gate, even the overflow parking, which is nice, the the campground is in the middle of the city of Napa. No reservations - first come, first served and you check in with the bartender. If you arrive after the place is closed, you can dry-camp in their parking lot. It's very big. - bistchr

Dec 2016 - $95.00
At $95.00 a night this park just became totally unattractive. After staying here over the past 10 years a night or two while going south for the winter and paying reasonable rates these new rates are unacceptable. No pool, no hot tub, working in the winter, uneven sites on gravel, no pull through sites, noisy from the freeway next door, unreasonable rates and now a management with a lousy attitude, next year I'll find somewhere else to stay. No more than $45.00 a night is what a space is worth here. - pediajo
Sep 2016 - $75.00
This is a difficult park to get into, everything is tight and my spousal unit was very good at backing the 30 foot fiver in the space. Luckily, we even had room for our extra car but everything is very tight. If I was new to RVing, I would not take a rig here. We visited our relatives in Richmond, 10 miles away. Before we had stayed in Vacaville which is 40 miles away, but much cheaper. I like this one better; the staff is very friendly and everything is clean. We would return. - saturn7

Nov 2017 - $20.00
As noted by others, there's a difference between the sites available for pet owners & non-pet owners. There's also a different level of pet sites. The lesser is limited to 30 amp sites that sit at right angles to the road. That's where we stayed & it was just fine. This is a nice facility. My wife & I, civilians ourselves, strive to only stay in the very best RV resorts. This isn't that, but it it isn't meant to be. It was a great place to stay during a Thanksgiving week visit to our military family son. There was always a site or 2 vacant. Most have satellite TV clearance. Especially in the "nicer", where trees abound, this could be a problem, as could trees coming in contact with larger rigs. A very spacious fuel station is located nearby. The commissary & BX, along with good size food court are even closer. - biosensai
Aug 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for a week. The famcamp is mixed. Some sites, mainly in the no pets section are very nice, others (where we were) are pretty barren- no shade. The site maintenance is mixed, at least two sites have faulty circuit breakers, they trip at least once a minute (we learned our site (46) was one of the two). On the plus side the price is right, exchange and commissary are just blocks away diesel is available, laundry and bathrooms are clean and functional. We'd stay there again but would certainly try for the better sites behind the office. - captaincakes
May 2017 - $20.00
The site is gravel and level. I did not have reservations as they do not make reservations if you are going to arrive within 30 days; however, they do have several sites that are first come first serve. When I arrived the office was closed but there were clear instructions on which sites were available for my size rig, length of stay, and with or without pets. I don't think it could be any more clear. After I got settled in my site, the office opened and I finished the registration process. The gentlemen in the office was friendly and squared me away quickly even though he continued to receive a million other calls. Kudos to him for his multitasking abilities. The BX and Commissary are within walking distance and there is a big field in the back to walk your dog. Overall, I have no complaints especially for the price. Thank you Travis AFB Command and MWR for taking care of us. Now... if we can only get everyone (mostly a small percentage) to recognize theses awesome benefits and not take advantage and ensure we clean up after ourselves and our pets. - Techn0
