This "park" is full of permanent rigs, mostly old and run down. Reservations are advised, as only a few spots are available. Very close spacing. Your neighbor's sewer is right in front of your door. Unlevel dirt sites. It is a Passport America park, but only if you stay exactly two days, not more and not less. - RCH
Jun 2017 - $18.00
Noisy at night. The fair was opening in a couple days and big trucks and trailers came in and worked during the night. We stayed 2 nights and someone had a generator running all night and into the morning. There was a huge weed in the back of our site and the site was uneven and narrow. However, I would stay here again. It was reasonable and the 30 amp and water was good. Sewer hookup, but the neighbor's sewer was located near our doorstep. We had room for our 3 slides. WIFI was great and we did get enough channels on our antenna to satisfy us. The host was very nice and made a map for us with points of interest. This really isn't what I would call a campground, but it did seem to be a safe spot to park in a city setting. We would come back. - Ginny H
Apr 2017 - $18.00
Having read other reviews- there were no surprises about the facility. A bunch of back-in sites along the access road to the race track pit area. Camp host was very good. When truck transmission went out, they worked with us until it was repaired. We were there for opening night at the car races, so it was noisy as expected. They promised races would be done by 11 pm and they were. A great base for exploring the redwoods and upper CA coast. We will be back. - PawPaw

Members only. No reservations, first come first serve. Includes complete hookups, including cable. - HB Taxlady
Dec 2016 - $17.00
Another nice Elks Lodge campground. Elks members only. Sites are all back-in on level gravel. Utilities are well placed and worked as expected. Great cable and wifi. The closer you are parked to the lodge the better the wifi. No dry camping. No reservations. Active, friendly lodge with dinners Wed & Fri. Lounge open daily. Easy access to Eureka for shopping, restaurants and sight seeing. The sights are close together, but it is not an issue in November. We've been here before and will certainly return. - 15243
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Coming from North, our GPS routed us through neighborhood streets that are negotiable, however, easiest is stay on 101 thru town and take Herrick street exit. Easy access upon arriving at park with gravel slopping sites that require some leveling. All back in sites that share water spigot but have individual electric and sewer. Easy and friendly registration. Other than leveling issues, will definitely stay again! - RJourney

Feb 2018 - $42.00
We don't hit the road to find and stay in RV parks. What I mean is that the park of the day is, for us, nothing more than a place to park, not our desired destination. I think, therefore, that we just aren't as critical or demanding as other reviewers. Yeah, the sites are a little narrow but plenty long. If you usually pull in and put out your awning and chairs and grill and just want to hang our in the park then this place isn't for you. Find an RV "Resort," Shoreline is clean, well maintained, has great staff, and is a wonderful location is you want to visit Eureka. The new paved Shoreline Trail or Walk is right there. Old town is a short bike ride or 15 minute walk away. Very convenient gas station aty the entrance. We'd stay here again. - User3369
Oct 2017 - $44.00
We were disappointed in several aspects of this park. We were told ours was a premium site, yet the site was very tight and our picnic table was on the wrong side because there was no room on our "patio" side. Eureka has a prolific homeless problem. There is no security presence here, no host. No one checked our site prior to our arrival or they would have noticed the previous renter had spilled black tank content onto the ground around the sewage connection. No campfires, no pool, or other amenities. You get a LONG list of rules when you arrive, including no streaming of the Wi-Fi. The site was level and fairly easy in and out. - Diane and Tom
Jul 2017 - $40.00
The is a quiet park with what seems to be quite a few long-termers, probably working in the area. Spaces are pretty close to each other, but plenty long enough for our bigger rig (38-ft Class A) and Jeep Liberty towed. After weeks on gravel in three other CA parks, the nice level asphalt was a nice change. The park is situated close to Humboldt Bay, so there is some water to be seen at the back of the park. Full hooksups all worked well. Electric voltage was spot-on 120 volts, unlike some other California parks we stayed in. As with all the other CA parks we have stayed in, it is a challenge to find grassy areas in which to walk dogs. Be wary of any yellow grass, because I guarantee it will be full of burrs that you will have to remove after each walk! The weather here may be the area's best attraction. Temps were in the 60s every day with a brisk chilly sea breeze. Lot of morning fog, too, one of my favorite things about Northern Cal. - dhaney1944

This facility is an open lot laid out in numbered sites. A fire ring is available at perimeter sites, picnic tables along the western side. These are not available in the central sides. No camping along the eastern waterfront.
This facility sees a lot of turnover and is busy during the day when the salmon are running. There are many 4 wheeler campers and day users. It is quiet at night though. We would stay here again. - SCClockDr

Listen carefully - if you are an ocean fisherman and have a trailer boat it simply does not get any better than this! The owners run a very tight ship in an area that is difficult to do so. The owner's father dredged out what is now the harbor back in the day and built the place. Btw it is the closest harbor to JURASSIC PARK! - CaptCyr
Jan 2014 - $29.00
This marina is on a spit of land sticking out into the sea and is full of longer term and permanent residents. Many obviously fishermen type: both anglers and workers on big boats with families and kids. The owners are nice enough and friendly. There are seafood restaurants nearby and some low sand dunes within an easy walk. There is no WiFi, no cable, no washroom facilities, no showers, the lots are small and narrow, and all back in. The place is essentially a parking lot. I liked it because it felt "real" and not tourist. Fine for an overnight stop if you are self sufficient, and cheaper than most places in the area. We would have stayed for a week but we need WIFI. We would stay again. - Judy Birchland
Jan 2013 - $12.00
As a travel nurse we have to move every 13 weeks. This time we stayed 9 months and all of them at the marina. This is like an extended family. The owners are friendly, the other campers are nice and fun and its an overall great spot. Its on the ocean and the dogs loved their daily walks there. We never had an issue with theft, loud neighbors, or dogs, and most everyone was respectful that we were day sleepers. Not a lot of amenities, but a great place to stay for nice ocean access and an awesome restaurant within a very short walk. - nursestafford

Power is too low for RV - 105 volts. Not well managed. Garbage dumpster overflowing all the time. - CT lee 57
Aug 2017 - $40.00
This campground was much better 4 1/2 years ago as the KOA. It just seems to be a place for working people to stay. I know we were surrounded by them in our electric and water spot. I think I even saw one of them urinating behind our trailer! We called to reserve a spot about a week ahead at their other location but were made to be felt extremely thankful that they found us a spot to stay. I am very unthankful now! The restrooms/showers are old and in disrepair and not very clean. Either building is this way. They used to have a time for quiet hours but that was lined out on their park map. Instead, there is only an evening time for quiet hours to start. Why? Because all the workers get up before 6 am to go to work! They are working on some superficial parts of the facility but they NEED to work on their electrical! My electrical management system (includes a surge protector) shut off power to our trailer multiple times a minute during the evening hours. I had to disable it. The voltage was dropping BELOW 104 volts! I asked the clerk about it the next day and got a blank stare about the 104 volts and was told that I could not use a surge protector in the campground due to the aluminum wiring. What? She also said they are working to replace it (that is where they got to 2 points). Every night of the 5 nights we were there I hated returning. It was not a good stay. Also, the pool was closed and it was still August! Why advertise something you don't provide. This group has also purchased another campground by Crescent City. It appears they are spread way too thin and are worried more about profit that camper comfort and value. Stay away from this campground and their others! - Casarodanteorg
Aug 2017 - $40.00
Restrooms are clean, but laundry room was not. The pool out-of-service and it was a weekend! We booked primarily because it had a pool. Sites supposedly have grass, but the 'grass' is dry and yellow. Not a very attractive place. - Samantha J

Apr 2018 - $36.00
We stayed 13 days and got a 10% discount for being Good Sam members. The sites are mostly level, have easy hook-ups, come with a picnic table, are asphalt as are the campground roads and the campground is an easy-on and easy-off from 101. The campground feels like a park since there is so much grass and so many trees and bushes. It is well-maintained and clean. The wi-fi is Tengo - enough said. The cable TV is fine and there are lots of stations. It is close to Trinidad, Patrick's Point SP with some marvelous trails, Moonstone Beach and the Lagoons. Hammond trail is great for a walk along the beach. Eureka, Ferndale and Fortuna are close. We also liked the Loleta Cheese Factory and the cheese grill. NIce campground and we'd definitely stay here again. - swike
Nov 2017 - $40.00
We only stayed one night in space 16 (a pull-thru), in our 25' travel trailer. There were 3 of us and 2 puppies. The very friendly and helpful resident manager - He, gave us a discount, so we only paid $40, instead of the regular $40 + 12% tax. Very nice, clean, quiet park. All spaces are nice and large, flat, with grass and picnic tables. Also quite a lot of pull-thrus. We will definitely stay there again when we buzz through. - Nana2008
Nov 2017 - $38.00
After reading the other reviews, I didn't expect much. However, it turned out being a nice little park. The roads and site pads are asphate. The sites have grass and enough trees to provide shade and give the place a park like feel. The hook ups worked. The showers were clean with lots of hot water. We found the park plenty big enough to walk our dogs. The park is close to the highway, but the back sites are the only area where road noise is a problem. The WiFi was very slow. The Mexican Cantina was excellent. - whizbang

they have a 3 night max, but were happy to extend it as we rode out a big storm. No hookups but a nice Dump AND potable water, quiet parking lot, security drives around. friendly staff. you do need to show activity and get a player's card. good breakfast at Alice's Restaurant. - mac2school
May 2012 - $1.00
Good place to spend a night or two: free. We did need to go in and register with the Casino. They gave us "free" money to play. We had a good dinner there. Would stay again! - openrange
Dec 2009 - $0.00
We only stayed one night. It was free as long as you went in and signed up for a player's card. The parking lot was clean and lighting was good. This is not a family place. The RVs around us were old other than a few that were as we were, just there for the night. They have a three day limit. The walk from the RVs to the casino was dark and has no lighting to and from each other. The parking lot was just behind the convenience store located in the same area. - Beas1979

Spent 3 nights in a pullthru full hookup site. Utilities good, did not try wifi. Cable worked well as we weren't able to get satellite due to trees in our site - check in packet did not come with a cable listing however. Site was a bit on the narrow side and we had to walk in the grass to get to an from our tow vehicle would probably not be a problem if it weren't raining. Quiet location even though it's located right off Highway 101. We would stay here again. - Amls
