Disappointed! This is a beautiful park with 1,o3o spaces yet the majority are park models. We squeezed into the spot they gave us (had to unhook the tow first) and there were no other RVs on the east side. Felt really out of place. Drove down to their restaurant and had a burger. We were the only ones there. Guess I should have made sure it said "RV" Resort. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

They worked to find a spot that would fit our long (65') rig. It was a very nice site with a wash behind us. The problems with the resort is that it is meant mostly for staying in a park model. The streets are narrow, so parking a longer rig is difficult. We had a problem with our cable connection. Calling the office didn't solve the problem, so they promised a repair person would come out to fix the problem. The repair person never showed. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The resort has lots of activities for nearly anyone. Palm Springs is nearby. 1000 Palms is nearby. Joshua Tree National Monument is nearby. Lots of hiking trails and even a tram that goes to the top of the San Jacinta Mtns.

Hey there! Thanks for taking the time to review. We're so sorry for any inconvenience you experienced while you were with us. While the park does have park models, we've still got plenty of space for RVers too. We are working to improve our systems, and really appreciate your feedback!

Overall Rating:

I spent a month here. Spent the first week in amongst the park models. After a disagreement with a neighbor I requested a move. Next site was much better in the mostly transient area of the resort. First site was very hard to back into due to cars parked on the street. I found the long term residents cordial but not overly friendly. Forget about star gazing at night even though there is nothing around the resort due to number of lights in the resort. If you want to receive mail or packages you must rent a mailbox for $10. Laundry cards are needed and you can only recharge the card in the East laundry room. Wind is pretty constant in the valley. You have to drive a bit to go shopping. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Streets are paved and easy to get around on. Our site was fairly level only had to touch down the levelers's and raise the front just a bit. Probably 30 ft in between our rig and our neighbors on each side of us. Sites could be kind of tight for some to get into but I had no problem with our MH at 43ft long.

We stayed from Dec 1 2017 to April 1 2018. We love Sky Valley. We were in the value section of the park and that was just fine. We had no problem with our RV spot. Phone service was good. I purchased Wi Fi service from Spectrum/Charter for $29.99 per month. I do all my banking etc on line and want the security of it. Our electrical was around $25.00 per month. I loved the "Walk Fit Class". I am really ok being a little bit out of town which this park is. The cafe has a good burger and Mexican food. The mineral pools are so nice and clean. The office staff, every single one of them were awesome , kind and patient. We are booked again coming in this year. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

What a find! Will definitely return. People very friendly with about 1/2 Canadians and 1/2 Americans. Very oriented to park models, but as others said RV sites scattered throughout park. Chapel was excellent and even have a 3 day "Refresh" conference in February that started while we were there. The only negatives: restaurant closed (and park about 12 miles from others and shopping), sites not very level and WiFi very poor. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the mineral springs with 1 set for adults only, many activities such as water aerobics through park and other activities through the chapel organization. Enjoyed visiting Cabots museum in Desert Hot Springs and the museum and trail at 1000 Palms. The Palm Springs Canyon near Palm Springs is really awesome.

This resort is truly a gem of an oasis in the middle of the desert. The grounds are lush and green and immaculate. Interior roads are paved and seem new. The clubhouse is gorgeous and is well equipped. Activities abound in the park. We even got a visit from the 'welcome lady' who shared much information about activities and local attractions. Best park we have visited, by far. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Sky Valley is a hot springs resort with multiple hot spring pools in two club houses . A neat and clean mostly park model resort with RV sites throughout. Our site was a little tight for a 40 foot motor home side to side because there was a trellis on the patio and bushes and rocks on the driver side. Close enough to Palm Springs and Palm Desert without the traffic. A short drive to Joshua Tree NP. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Absolutely a beautiful park. Many pools with different temps for soaking and relaxing. We have stay here several times for a weekend just to unwind. We usually have the pool area to ourselves, it is so peaceful and relaxing. My favorite pool is one of the large swimming pools that is bath water temp - perfecting for flexible movement, swimming and so enjoyable. They have a wonderful restaurant on sight called Mignon and the food is excellent. Most of the park has permanent residents or snowbirds but they have sights for over nighters. I can hardly wait to go back - those crystal clear pools call to me. Naturally heated by springs and various temperatures, they are delightful. Sights have cement pads but we prefer and ask for a gravel sight. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was a very relaxing stop. We enjoyed the Hot Spring soaks in the pool area. The park was a little tight to maneuver our 40 foot fiver. The people were very friendly even though it was a very large park. We would return to this park if in the area for an extended stay. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate with PA discount. Overall rating is for RV sites, not the overall "Resort". The resort is very nice as stated in other reviews. However, very lacking for RVers, especially for large RVs. Expect up to 45 degree back-in and hope no one is parked in front on the other side of the road. Our 37 ft RV got in mainly because I could pull forward (some streets narrower than others). Electric and cable worked well. However, sewer was located at the back of the sites, so you'll need an extension. And personally for us, we did not like being surrounded by park models. Would probably look for a different Park next time. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is mainly a park model resort, with some percentage of the sites that do not have park models used as RV sites. Our site was quite small. They may have spots for larger rigs but better call ahead. We found the park overall quiet, with the typical RV park inquisitiveness from your neighbors. A "HUGE" percentage of residents are Canadian snowbirds. We were camping in our truck camper which makes us very interested in the showers and restrooms. The showers are located in the pool/spa area and were marked unavailable till the pool opened at 8am. The restrooms are very limited with only two toilet stalls in each dressing area. Unheated I might add, which wouldn't normally be a problem except it was below freezing in the mornings we were there. Mineral pools and showers were very clean and nice. What is used as a dog park is a fenced in area of dust and dirt. No grass and very very dusty. The Mexican restaurant onsite was "GREAT" for breakfast. We camped at Sky Valley Resort in a Truck Camper.
