This RV park is in our hometown, our daughter lives here, and we have always stayed here when returning home from a trip or passing through. It is a nice, clean, park with full hookups. I went in today to see about upcoming events that might hinder our parking there, and I was told by office staff that due to some sort of county assessment, no one is allowed to camp there anymore for more than 2 weeks a year! The new manager apparently doesn't want to pay the assessment fee. Therefore, we will not be able to come back here and will have to find another RV park nearby, which is a shame based on price and quality of the sites. We stayed here for about two weeks visiting family in the area. The park is very nice and clean with constant upkeep and the office staff were most helpful and friendly. There isn't alot of amenities but then its not a rv park per se, however it is within close distance to anything you would need. We will definitely stay here again. We stay at this RV site whenever we are in Dixon. Our daughter lives here, so this is our home base. This is a nice site. Sites are gravel, clean, and most have full hookups except cable and WI-FI, but antenna gets the main channels and our Verizon card works great. We find it a good place because everything is available nearby - Walmart, Safeway, CVS, and plenty of good restaurants. There is no weekly or monthly rate, nor do you get any discounts, but for a stopover, it is great. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This campground is on the grounds of the county fair just outside of the downtown area of Dixon. Sixteen of the sites have full hook-ups with 50 amps. These sites are on gravel and well spaced with some newly-planted fruit trees in between. The other 12 sites are water and electric only and are pretty much parking lot. It is nothing fancy, but for the price in the area it can't be beat. It is a good place for visiting Davis or Sacramento. The power was very good. There are no showers or restrooms. Verizon cell and data were good there. There is some noise from the fairly-busy street but it is fairly quiet at night. There are no large street lights so it is fairly dark which we like. There was one night when there was an event at the fairgrounds, and it was noisy until about 11 p.m., but it was not bad. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. It is a good idea to call ahead to make for sure there is not an activity at the fairgrounds that would prevent you from staying there. We would definitely stay there again.
