Things have not changed much since our last visit. Still very low water pressure and barky dogs during the dog show. We were in site #16 and were able to get a DTV satellite signal but that might be a problem when the trees have all their leaves. Good Verizon 4g service. Super friendly and helpful folks in the office. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Super nice and friendly. Excellent price for FHU. Highly recommend looking online to see if there are any events prior to your arrival. Dog show in town during our stay didn't result in RV park being completely full, but it did mean a lot of barking dogs etc. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Very reasonable rate for this area of N. California. Good power but water pressure is low. Very good Verizon 4g signal and a getting satellite is not a problem from most sites. Big rig parking is not a problem except in the 3 or 4 neatest the gate. Some train noise. During dog shows there are a lot of barky dogs which was expected. We will return. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice RV sites for a fairground. Only about 13 sites with full hookups and 50amps. Well maintained gravels with decent spacing. The fair was pulling out when we pulled in so be sure to check the fairground activities before coming. All sites were full before we got there. Camp host is in the very end site and is who you need to look for after office hours. Decent place to overnight. Would stay here again! We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

One of nicest fairgrounds parks we have stayed at in 3 yrs. of full timing. Gravel, 50A, level, a bit of a lip/gutter to get over from driveway. Sparsely (but nicely) landscaped with citrus trees. Only about 16 sites here, south side of town of Dixon. No amenities but great stopover base to work from. Travel to Sacto is a pain most anytime of day, usual, miserable, CA traffic mess (Californians on the whole are some of the worst drivers in our nation!). The park has a nice grass area adjacent to the RV area, surprisingly fairly green despite nasty drought. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for about two weeks visiting family in the area. The park is very nice and clean with constant upkeep and the office staff were most helpful and friendly. There isn't alot of amenities but then its not a rv park per se, however it is within close distance to anything you would need. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.

This RV park is in our hometown, our daughter lives here, and we have always stayed here when returning home from a trip or passing through. It is a nice, clean, park with full hookups. I went in today to see about upcoming events that might hinder our parking there, and I was told by office staff that due to some sort of county assessment, no one is allowed to camp there anymore for more than 2 weeks a year! The new manager apparently doesn't want to pay the assessment fee. Therefore, we will not be able to come back here and will have to find another RV park nearby, which is a shame based on price and quality of the sites. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stay at this RV site whenever we are in Dixon. Our daughter lives here, so this is our home base. This is a nice site. Sites are gravel, clean, and most have full hookups except cable and WI-FI, but antenna gets the main channels and our Verizon card works great. We find it a good place because everything is available nearby - Walmart, Safeway, CVS, and plenty of good restaurants. There is no weekly or monthly rate, nor do you get any discounts, but for a stopover, it is great. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is on the grounds of the county fair just outside of the downtown area of Dixon. Sixteen of the sites have full hook-ups with 50 amps. These sites are on gravel and well spaced with some newly-planted fruit trees in between. The other 12 sites are water and electric only and are pretty much parking lot. It is nothing fancy, but for the price in the area it can't be beat. It is a good place for visiting Davis or Sacramento. The power was very good. There are no showers or restrooms. Verizon cell and data were good there. There is some noise from the fairly-busy street but it is fairly quiet at night. There are no large street lights so it is fairly dark which we like. There was one night when there was an event at the fairgrounds, and it was noisy until about 11 p.m., but it was not bad. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. It is a good idea to call ahead to make for sure there is not an activity at the fairgrounds that would prevent you from staying there. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Dixon May Fair Campground in a Motorhome.
