Great location along the Russian river. Fun family atmosphere with plenty to do during the day. All roads and campsites are dirt or gravel so prepare to be dusty. The connections for our site (site #25) were on the opposite side of where they should be, so we needed to pull in to our "back-in" site. No sewer connection, so needed to use dump station. Easy walk to river beach access. Only 15 minutes from Hwy 1 and ocean access. Definitely plan to come here again. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a great campground - close to the Pacific Coast, and nestled in the Russian River Valley. Sonoma wine country nearby (Korbel is just down the road). Redwood forests (some on the property). There is a seal colony at the coast.

The park offers a store, kids activities, farm animals, hayrides, lots of water activities (1 mile of riverfront), and organized activities.

Updates are taking place - like new ADA bathrooms (very nice), rental RVs, and electrical upgrades.

The big charm of this park is the historical aspect. In the Casini family for over 100 years, with a historical barn still on site, it has a an old west, great family friendly feel.

If you want to stay up late partying, and making noise - this IS NOT the park for you. It is very family focused - and they enforce their quiet hours for the enjoyment of their guests.

Bottom line - there are lots of ways to stay entertained here. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The tent sites on the east side are in a beautiful, quiet, tree lined area. If you don't have an RV - you can rent one. Rent canoes, kayaks, or paddleboards if you don't have your own.

Check out Guerneville, Bodega Bay, Korbel winery, Armstrong Woods State Park. Make sure you stop at the Taco Truck in Guerneville (by the Safeway) - really good food!

The check-in was simple and quick. The camp store is very complete and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The sites were level, clean, and hookups were easy to get to.

My only complaint are the burrs...those little round prickly things...they got into the toes of my dog...to the point of a visit to the vet when we got home...infection and had to be on antibiotics! Next time he is going to wear booties...warning for other dog owners!

I would highly recommend Casini...location is great for visiting other small towns! We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

I read reviews on this place and as far as I'm concerned they are overrated. Neighboring lots are nearby and have sunny/open exposures. Site surface is dirt and features a fire ring.

We have stayed at much nicer places with way friendlier people! We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park. Wide spaces and lovely views. Only 2 spots right on the river for RVs. We had PA discount, but thought the full price of $ 63 was high, and charging for showers (meters) was unnecessary. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

This was not our first trip to Casini Ranch. You cannot beat the location, it is on a working ranch between the Russian River and pastures of cows, horses and other livestock. You feel like you are on a ranch when you are here. They have over 200 sites but the sites are not right next to each other, some sites are very private. They have 40+ channels of TV, very good wifi, a store on the property and a laundry facility. The staff we interacted with were very friendly.
We have been to several RV parks from Fairbanks Alaska to Northern California. Casini Ranch is a jewel, we have only seen 2 other parks that can offer the same ambience and they are much smaller and not located in such an optimal location. If that were not enough the activities provided at the park really make it exceptional, the Hay Ride and the bon Fire on the beach are both events not to miss. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hiking nearby at the Willow Creek Extension of the Sonoma Coast State Park System, Walking distance down freezeout road. Armstrong Redwoods is also a great hike, you have to drive to get there but it is 15 minutes away. Also the pomo canyon and Redhill trails from Shell beach make great hikes.

We booked a stay for one night at Casini Ranch Family Campground. The appeal of this campground is the beauty of the surrounding area--the Russian River with its various activities, the solitude not found in less rural settings, and the quaintness of nearby towns Jenner and Monte Rio.

Check-in went smoothly albeit somewhat slowly. When we did make it to our camp spot, service personnel were working feverishly to restore electricity to the campground that had apparently been out for some time after the Labor Day holiday. Within 30 minutes of our arrival, the electrical issue was solved.

The premium full hookup sites are long enough for most motorhomes and trailers, but the width could be improved. With three slide-outs, our 5th wheel leveling legs were partially on gravel and partially on the cement pad. A nice fire pit accompanies each campsite. We did not use the cable television hookup, opting for satellite dish use. The campground's wi-fi, while a bit slow, is free for one day's use; after that you'll have to pay. Verizon cell signal is very good. Also, as others have noted this campground can be quite dusty.

Casini Ranch Campground is probably much better for a multiple day stay since getting to it off Highway 101 is definitely off the beaten path. The River Road route to the campground is scenic as is the occasional glimpses of the Russian River. This campground might be worth another visit if we plan on staying more than one day. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a full-hookup site, which cost $60, plus $26 (two additional adults), plus $9 (tax), for a total of $95 per day. The site was level gravel and dirt, with a concrete pad and grass patch. We had a picnic table and fire pit, with a shade tree. Cable TV and WiFi (128mb free) worked fine, faster WiFi was an additional charge. Showers were $1 for five-minutes. This is a family orientated park, centered around the Russian River. Lots activities, swimming, bike riding, hay rides, movies, etc. Bathrooms were old and well used. They have a small store on site, and they are dog friendly. Quiet at night. Best way to get here from Hwy-101 is on the "River Road" through Guereneville, other approaches are very windy. A great place if you have kids. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

First the pros: sites were level, there were lots of tv channels available, the WIFI was very strong. Now the cons: this is basically a big dirty and dusty field with lots of dead weeds (not grass) that had TONS of stickers, which got stuck on our dogs. The roads are mostly dirt, with a little gravel. When people drive by, there is a nice plume of dust kicked up. They do try to water the roads, but it is a losing battle. They claim to have full hookups. They do have some , but they are very limited. Most sites suitable for a big rig are water and electric only. Their rates are what I would expect to pay for a very nice site and campground with full hookups and 50 amp power. This place is a minimal campground and very overpriced for what you get. I would not stay here again. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is a ranch. You camp in a field. There is a lot of dust even though they do put some water on the roads. Our spot had a lot of stickers that I had to constantly pull out of my dogs hair and feet. There are a lot of groups. On the weekends there are hundreds of people dry camping everywhere. The beach on the river is nice. The laundry room was fine. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed through the (rainy) Thanksgiving week in a "Value" spot -- nice lush grass with electric and water only. Casini Ranch is a large campground with wonderful mature trees and meadows, and an authentic old country store. The area is just gorgeous -- surrounded by steep, forested mountains alongside a really beautiful river, not far from the ocean. The employees clearly enjoy working here and were super friendly and helpful. The property is a former working ranch -- "The Casini family made Duncans Mills their home in the early 1880s. Casini Ranch Family Campground has been a family operated RV park and campground open year round since 1965." It definitely feels like it's been here a long time and is a well-loved favorite for many. Will definitely be back! We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our $31 rate was with PA including tax. Our site was a gravel site with a large grassy area and a nice shade tree. We had a full hookup site with cable TV, WiFi, and a picnic table & fire pit. The park was located a short drive from Duncan Mills with cute shops and restaurants They are right on the Russian River where they also had a large beach area. It was very quiet at night. The restrooms & showers were very clean. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Not a fancy park but very well kept up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice sites right on the Russian River or back in the trees are nice private sites. We have stayed here several times in the last 5 or 6 years, and always had a great stay. We will be back. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park if you want a very kid-friendly, group-friendly place. Weekends are jammed with kids, dogs (on leash), and associated gear---bikes, pedal-carts, etc. We had two different sites here this past week. The first with full hook-ups was roomy but felt exposed and out in the middle of three rows of RV's; the second partial hook-up site had more trees but the ground was full of squirrel holes, uneven and hazardous to walk on. Riverfront sites have no sewer but are scenic; group sites and individual tent sites are often very shaded and nicely tucked away for privacy. Laundry room was well-maintained and reasonably priced. If you drive 8 MPH instead of the posted 7 mph speed limit, expect to get screamed at by a Workkamper; some staffers were a bit "over the top" with their authority and power. Those driving big rigs or large trailers may want to skip taking the roads from Graton via Bohemian Hwy and take the River Rd. through Guerneville, instead. Also, the address for the camp is Duncan Mills, but it actually seems to be in Monte Rio. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here for 4 nights in a river-view site. It was a very busy weekend and there were lots of kids running around, but everyone was friendly and helpful. The camp personnel came around often to be sure everything was fine. This is one of the better places to kayak on the Russian River. It is easy access to the river and the current is not bad. Would highly recommend this for families. There are various activities for the children, especially on the weekends. We camped at Casini Ranch Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
