The previous reviewer said it all...confusing layout of park, but it is more spacious than most. The manager on site is very friendly, but hard to contact and rather disorganized. The utilities worked fine but are in the back of the sites. There are really no amenities to speak of; Verizon signal was strong. Of course the big draw is the closeness to the parks; after all, that is why we are here. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Note that the sign on the road has changed - it now says Kings Canyon Mobilehome Park. Interior roads are paved and you park on grass. Utilities worked fine. Free Wifi was pretty solid for browsing. Verizon signal strong and supposedly no other carriers work here. No bathroom, shower or laundry facilities. I'm not sure if the office is ever open so you should call before arriving as the number will go to the managers cell and she will either be there waiting for you or assign you a site number to go into in her absence. This worked well for us. The front of the park is for RVs and the back is old mobile homes and they are not attractive in any sense of the word. All sites are very large but the degree of level varies significantly. Utilities all in the back so either you have a long (and maybe uphill) sewer run or you back in a long way like I did to make the run reasonable (sites are long enough to allow this). To clarify on that point, it is almost like you are parking in a big field with utilities spread way out, it's is very unusual. The bottom line, this is by far the closest place to the parks and it works well (if you have Verizon for phone). It is not glamorous but it gets the job done. We were here for 6 days and have no complaints other than it would have been nice to not have eight inch high, buggy grass as a site. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy (uphill) drive to Kings Canyon and Sequoia NPs. Be sure to drive to the north unit of Kings Canyon as it is a very scenic drive.

This is a mobile home park without many mobile homes and open to RVs. All hook-ups are way in the back of the site so be sure you have long connections. RVs are parked on the grass. We chose to stay here rather than tow our trailer up 4000' and 20 miles to Kings Canyon & Sequoia. It's ok and works for our purpose. The manager is very friendly with an infectious personality. It is quiet at night. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The office was closed upon arrival and we had to find site 71 to see the host. The numbering system of this park is bizarre. If you camp here site 71 is to your left about a half block down as you enter. The utilities worked fine, however they are located at the back of the site--This made for a long sewer hose run. The site was fairly level with one shade tree. The host was so nice during our whole stay. This park is an old mobile home park mostly empty that accepts RV's. This park is 30 minutes from General Grant's tree. I hope they can fix this place up and turn it into a jewel that it could be. We camped here in a 40' motorhome. First, the sign off the highway says Sequoia Mobile Home Park, so do not look for the RV park name. This is an old mobile home development (only a handful of mobile homes). So, here's the question: What rates as a good RV park for visiting Kings Canyon & Sequoia? This is located on a very accessible road (Hwy 180) before you make a 4,000 foot climb to the park - so very easy to get to comparted to Badger. It offers full hook ups for $35 but no facilities (no check in service, showers, restrooms, picnic tables limited, etc.). It only accepts cash or check. The site hook ups can be a challenge since they are set for mobile homes at the back end of the sites. Can get local TV, plus Verizon cell service. You are 20 miles (up the mountain) to the parks. So, for us this was a perfect two night spot. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are no campgrounds with hook ups at Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks. This campground has good management that is fixing the place up. Full 50amp sites, great WIFI and attentive management. Yes, there are permanents here, but there were no problems at this park.

Right on the highway leading to Kings Canyon.

Give them a try. There is no rain here so the grass is dead, but not a problem.

Sites are huge and there are some shade trees. Unless you want to dry camp to see these parks, this is your place. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Location, Location, Location. If you have an RV longer than 22' you will be coming up Ca 180 if you're headed up to look at the Big Trees. As you may have noticed RV parks and options are kind of thin in this part of California. This is the closest RV park with FUH's to Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park. They told me they have 17 RV slots and 6 of them are 50 amp and the rest are 30 amp. The roads are paved. The sites are gravel. They have picnic tables but no fire rings. (Remember the Ca fires) The folks that are the new owners or managers(?) (2 yrs) sound like they are cleaning the place up. Some things to note. No bathrooms, no showers, no laundry, no cable. We had a power spike on our first night there but after we shut off the pedestal and turned everything back on a couple of hours later we had no more issues. Their water is tasty and much better tasting than anything you will get in the Valley or most anywhere south and east. The pedestal was falling apart but everything checked out ok with the multimeter. I noticed from previous post that we ended up paying $8 more than the last reviewer. I have mixed feelings about this place. This is a semi empty Manufactured Home Park with most of the long term homes around the edge of the property. On the plus side it's less than an hour to Kings Canyon, there's no road noise at night but commuters start early in and out of the park and on the Hwy but it's low traffic volume . It should be noted that they do not take credit cards and I don't know about checks so bring cash. They also have a lot of open space and you may be able to negotiate a dry camping rate. Most of the sites have good solar potential but it looks like it could be pretty hot during the summer.

If we come back to the area and they are still here I'd stay here again. However I suspect that I will find that their wifi still does not work and that their pedestals are still falling apart. Good Luck. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

A beautiful location with great views from our pull through campsite. We had full hookups with 50 amp service for our big rig. This campground is under new management who have already made improvements, with more to come. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a "stopover" type of place to park. It's the closest place to this entrance of the park without driving too far on mountain roads. We were hoping to stay at a campground in Sequoia National Park, but after pulling our 30' fifth wheel half way up on 180 towards the Wilsonia entrance, decided we had had enough of the steep pitches and narrow road so went back down and parked at King's Canyon. It is primarily a mobile home park, so lots of long-termer's, however, the RV parking is right near the entrance, all in the same block area. They did have 30 amp, but I don't think I saw any 50 (not sure about 20). The weird thing is that the switches show from 50 to 60 amp written on them, but the plug-in is only for 30. The sites are on a grassy area so not perfectly even, but not too bad to level. There are a couple of shade trees here, but mostly full sun. The caretaker was pretty non-existent, so just write your check, put it in the envelope and check out whenever! (A neighbor told us check-out was noon, but that the caretaker was really laid-back and flexible). We camped at Sequoia and Kings Canyon RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
