This was a good overnight stopover heading south. The interior roads and sites are gravel and there was grass between the sites and around the edges. There were lots of mature trees for shade. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well taken care of. Very friendly on the phone and at check in. They reserve a section for short stays with easy to get in and out of pull thrus long enough to leave the tow car attached even with our 42" rig. It was quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had only a verbal reservation because this park does not provide confirmation numbers nor emailed receipts. As we neared the park, I called but the phone rang several times without anyone answering. When we arrived around 11:30, there was a sign on the door that the person would be back at 2 pm. Another sign said "Sorry, park is full". There was no note for us on the bulletin board and no envelopes in the box for self registration, as many other parks utilize. We were at a loss as to what to do. The only presence on the internet for this park is a Facebook page without any park information. Since we would have had to wait 2 1/2 hours for someone to show up and possibly find out that they could not accommodate us, we elected to continue in our journey to the next reservation (who could accommodate us a day early.) I called Happy Times again and waited through several rings until a recording advised that the park office opened at 2. I left a message explaining our plight and we continued on the road. The area is pretty limited and this park is pretty run down looking. The only sign is a very large one "RV Park" at the back of the park, so as to be visible from the expressway but there was no sign at the entrance. I doubt if we would try to stay at this park in the future. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an old, basic park. It's convenient to I-5 with fuel and a restaurant at the exit. It's near the Dunnigan rest stop north of Sacramento. We stayed one night while traveling. I called 24 hours before to make a reservation. The woman on the phone was friendly as she was when we checked in. They were full when we arrived, so it's good we reserved a spot. There are long term guests who were not an issue for us. Loops and sites are gravel. We had a grassy area with a picnic table. This park has big shade trees. Sites are extremely close. Our neighbor, pointing in the opposite direction was right on top of us. For one night while traveling this was fine. When you arrive you'll see a building and what looks like an office. You don't check in at the side facing the road. Drive around to the side facing the park to check in. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very old park on gravel dusty sites in need of major upgrading. No picnic table or fire rings. Quite a few old full time rigs. The amenity buildings for laundry and showers were so scarey looking that we didn't go in. The buildings were falling apart and hadn't been painted in many years.

The park is between I-5 and railway tracks, therefore noisy. The new manager was very nice and helpful. There is a swimming pool on site but it was closed for the season. Power was good and cable tv was also good. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

No place to walk and there is no actual town here. Just a spot to sleepover with a Pilot gas station and a Wendy's.

Overall Rating:

This is our third time staying here, once in December 2015 and again in September 2016. We have friends in the area. There are over 100 sites, plus tent and dry camping sites. Access into the park is easy, some of the turns in the park can be a little tight depending on how others have parked their cars. There are a number of full time/long term residents and not all are kept up. Check in is always fast and friendly. It is right off of I-5 and across from a Pilot Station so there is some road/truck noise but not too bad. We were in Site 25, a gravel pull-thru with full hook-ups. The sewer hook-up was clogged, some idiot filled it with rocks!! We were able to use one from the site next to us, and they sent someone out to work on the clog. It is an end site so we had a nice patch of grass and shade trees. It was just long enough for our 37' Class A and tow-dolly with our car parked on the road in front of our rig. Sites 1-6 are the best for short stays - long pull-thrus with full hook-ups. They do not have WiFi but our Verizon signal was strong. We did not use the laundry or bathrooms. There is a small pool. We stayed September 29 - October 8, 2017 and paid $25 a night with our Good Sam discount. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tired, run down, and with lots of permanent residents, many of whom seem to have most of their possessions stacked outside. Trash can was overflowing, roads are potholed, and the interstate noise is considerable. But, the folks were friendly and the hookups, except cable TV worked well. Level, gravel pull-thrus are staggered, with no table or fire ring at our site. No WiFi, but good Verizon cell/data, and no obstructions to satellite. Easy access to the interstate and truck stop make this an acceptable overnight stay. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small, older park but everything works. Helpful, friendly staff. I had a problem and needed a tool and Jerry, the maintenance guy helped me. 1/4 mile from truck stop restaurant. Will stay again. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Mostly permanent residents. Didn't use facilities so can't comment. The park in general was a little run down. But quick entry on and off to highway. Site was tight for a 40 ft RV. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

We travel in a 40' fifth wheel pulled by a semi, a total of 65' and I am happy any time I can find an overnight stay that has easy access. It was a bit tight maneuvering through the park but they had a pull thru site for us that was easy to get into and out of.
The showers were badly in need of updating and cleaning. The park seemed a bit run-down with mostly permanent residents. There was a field next to the park where we walked the dog.
I had called ahead for a reservation and was glad I did. They were turning people away when we arrived and we got the last spot.
The park was quiet, the staff was friendly, and everything worked. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a medical emergency which necessitated our stay at this park. The staff has been more than helpful and the residents we have had contact with have been kind and helpful also. This is not a park we would have normally elected to stay for a long period of time in, but it has proven to be a blessing to us. The rate quoted is for a stay that lasted more than a month. The site is level, a pull thru and we have 30 amp. There are 50 amp sites as well. We are near a truck stop and I-5 but the noise has not been a problem. We are 16 miles from the city of Woodland. This would be a great overnight stay. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a good park for overnight. It's quiet, with level sites. The spaces are back to back, so it's close on the back side of the RV. However, each space has a patio, picnic table and a grass area, so the front side of the space is nice. There are a lot of long term RVs around, some are junky others are well kept. There aren't many RV parks on this part of Interstate 5, so this is a good overnight park. It's an easy on and off from the freeway. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bath-house badly needs renovation. There are lots of older permanent residents in this park, who keep freezers outside their campers, and grills atop their picnic tables, with plastic storage boxes and cases of bottled water (and beer) under their campers. The park isn't all that pretty but it's fine for an overnight. Easy to get on and off the highway. The highway noise didn't bother me and I'm a light sleeper. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park in need of a lot of TLC. Much of the park is long term residents with many rigs in very poor condition. The staff and residents we spoke with were friendly. Close to freeway and truck stop, but noise wasn't an issue. Fine for a quick overnight stop at a reasonable price. We will return. We camped at Happy Time RV Park in a Motorhome.
