4 Parks near Etna, California
Jul 2015 - $18.00
Very nice park with full hookups and cable. Can handle 40ft rigs. grass between sites and are fairly level with gravel. All hookups are easily located in one spot. Verizon & mifi work great. Some parts of park their wifi does not work. Very quiet, clean. Friendly staff said if we didn't like the site find one you might. You check in at the Shell station that has a store, fuel(gas and diesel) and propane. This park is out in the middle of nowhere but there is a lot to do in the surrounding area's. It's about 26 miles from Interstate 5. We would camp here again. - margeandbob
Aug 2014 - $14.00
Nice clean park in a beautiful valley. Rate reflects Passport America discount. Well maintained, interior roads are tight for a big rig as are the parking sites. Wi-Fi at back of park is nonexistent. Good electricity (50 amp) , good water pressure. AT&T OK. We stayed here in a 40 ft rig, and we would come back. - walt66

This is the only RV park in Etna. The next closest being Yreka, but this small town and this very nice RV facility is well worth the extra 24 miles south on Hwy 3. The park has all pull-through sites with easy access. It is located right on Hwy 3 but there is so little travel on this highway that noise was not a problem. We were there three nights mid-week and it was not half full. There were a couple of long-term tenants there, but the park rules do not allow for the accumulation of stuff nor the storage of items outside the RV so all sites are nice and neat. The laundry room was handy and very clean and prices reasonable. The park staff at the Shell station were helpful, friendly and accommodating. This is a great area to explore and the Etna Brewery is worth a visit in itself. We will absolutely stay here again. - HnHTravels

This park could have gone in either direction. It isn't 'beautiful' and the spaces are a little tight but there are some shade trees. That said, the utilities all work and it is pretty quiet aside from a potential Friday night race at the nearby fairgrounds. There are RV sites at the front and some trailers at the back with long term residents. Some of the RV'ers look like they've been here for awhile but it isn't too junked up. The real make or break here is that the owners/staff are nice and honest people who try to make things go well for guests. In all, I wouldn't come here as my vacation destination per se but I'm more than happy with the site and service for a brief stop during a long trip. It looks like the owners are working to improve the place. - skyshark

I've stayed here before, and this time we actually stayed an extra night because we loved it so much. I just love this place, so clean and peaceful. Everyone is so friendly. This is will definitely be our stop when we go through this way! Love it! Thanks for making our stay so wonderful. - judie kopfer

Under new ownership, which is hard at working updating and cleaning up an older RV campground. Well established trees provide shade to the sites that boost Cable TV, WiFi access, 30 and 50 amp, and full hookups. Sites are mainly dirt, but well maintained. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Out buildings were older but clean and tidy. Some live-ins toward the back of the grounds. Stayed only one night en route, but will make this a destination point on our trips North. The 24 hour surveillance is an added bonus to a safe campground.
Better signage to Campground would be in order as it can easily be missed after a days travel. The rating of 8 is only because of dirt sites that are a little tight and main road proximity which was not heavily traveled during our stay. - Boz 1
Apr 2010 - $10.00
Destination campground is located 4 miles 'west' of I-5 on Highway 96 (Exit 786) and is on the Klamath River. There is River access for fishing, and kayak & small boat launch. Twenty-one asphalt sites, most level, pit toilets, water faucet. Sites can be reserved between mid May and mid October for a $9 additional fee (go to the website for info) or contact the Ranger at 530-493-2243. Quiet and secluded, Campground Host during summer. - zigzag
Sep 2016 - $36.00
First time staying here overnight on our way south.
Got a pullthru that was long enough for our 40ft and toad so didn't have to disconnect.
As mentioned, gravel sites with the next site about 12 feet away.
Had a tree by our site to shield some of the sun.
No problems getting into the site or leaving.
Just off hwy 5 up the east hill and see the sign on the right.
Would stay here again when passing thru. - Bluebird Bob
Aug 2016 - $36.00
This park was so great, we just loved it. The site was gravel but it was fairly level. There are flowers and pieces of art and park benches everywhere. The trees are big enough to provide some shade. The bathrooms are sparkling clean, decorated with glass top tables, vases and silk flowers and plants and clean, bright tiles. They are secure with a security code, which we like. - Linda dlm
Aug 2016 - $39.00
Easy overnight stop right off I-5. Gravel, pull-thru sites, little shade. The hookups were in the middle, so barely worked for us not to have to unhook. Our 25 ft. TV cable would not reach, but the office was helpful and loaned us one that did work. WiFi worked excellent. Office help was friendly. Quiet. I would return here again. - trussman
