Stayed here before, I reserved a spot, park has many full timers. Great for an overnight. Plenty of homeless people wandering thru. Adjacent walking trail not fenced. Don't leave anything out or lock it up. Almost lost my bicycle on the last stay till I chased the guy off...and it was locked on the trailer! We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed there three nights starting September 30th. Great pull thru site number 25, much longer then we needed. Easy in and out. The park has lots of long term guest, but the ones we interacted with were super nice and friendly. The bike trail right next to the park was cool, but it had a draw back. We were warned by a guest when we set up camp that there was some theft going on in the park and to lock your bikes up good. The first night the couple across from us had two bicycles stolen, and there were others that night as well. The police were on scene about midnight. We did not have anything stolen, but we had a hard time sleeping the next two nights. We slept with all our outside lights on as did the couple we met camped next to us. Nice park, but I would not stay there again. Bring an extra cable to lock your bike (frame and wheels). We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

We called a couple of hours ahead to check availability and the lady who answered offered us a 50A pull through as all the 30s were taken and said the office would be closed at 6 but she would leave the info on the board in the laundromat. The RV park is located behind a screened fence between a convenience store and a small shopping center. Turn left in front of the gas station and you'll spot the entrance. Sites are fairly close with about a 6' swath of mowed grass between each paved site. The pull throughs are at a diagonal that affords length and it doesn't seem so close to your neighbors. The landscaping and general appearance was very good and all seemed to be well maintained. There was minimal traffic noise from 101 that was mostly screened by trees. The provided cable worked well as did the WiFi. The lady said it worked best near the office but we were well away and it connected without difficulty. The lady at the office was still there when we arrived after 6 and was as pleasant in person as on the phone. We would stay here again. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Convenient access for dining and shopping in Eureka and Arcata. The waterfront trail is adjacent to the campground. NB 101 is an immediate entrance/exit at the gas station. SB 101 is accessed by 6th St with a cross at V St or R St.

Shoreline is very clean, well maintained and has great staff. It is a wonderful location is you want to visit Eureka. The new paved Shoreline Trail is right there. Old town Eureka is a short distance away. There is a very convenient gas station at the entrance. We stayed here for 2 nights to tour Eureka. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Near highway on and off. Staff fun to deal with and helpful. Laundry was clean and worked well. Paved site (be careful of safety poles near utilities) 30 and 50 amp, check with office first if it is a priority. Long pull throughs but you may need longer sewer hoses etc. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

We don't hit the road to find and stay in RV parks. What I mean is that the park of the day is, for us, nothing more than a place to park, not our desired destination. I think, therefore, that we just aren't as critical or demanding as other reviewers. Yeah, the sites are a little narrow but plenty long. If you usually pull in and put out your awning and chairs and grill and just want to hang our in the park then this place isn't for you. Find an RV "Resort," Shoreline is clean, well maintained, has great staff, and is a wonderful location is you want to visit Eureka. The new paved Shoreline Trail or Walk is right there. Old town is a short bike ride or 15 minute walk away. Very convenient gas station aty the entrance. We'd stay here again. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were disappointed in several aspects of this park. We were told ours was a premium site, yet the site was very tight and our picnic table was on the wrong side because there was no room on our "patio" side. Eureka has a prolific homeless problem. There is no security presence here, no host. No one checked our site prior to our arrival or they would have noticed the previous renter had spilled black tank content onto the ground around the sewage connection. No campfires, no pool, or other amenities. You get a LONG list of rules when you arrive, including no streaming of the Wi-Fi. The site was level and fairly easy in and out. The is a quiet park with what seems to be quite a few long-termers, probably working in the area. Spaces are pretty close to each other, but plenty long enough for our bigger rig (38-ft Class A) and Jeep Liberty towed. After weeks on gravel in three other CA parks, the nice level asphalt was a nice change. The park is situated close to Humboldt Bay, so there is some water to be seen at the back of the park. Full hooksups all worked well. Electric voltage was spot-on 120 volts, unlike some other California parks we stayed in. As with all the other CA parks we have stayed in, it is a challenge to find grassy areas in which to walk dogs. Be wary of any yellow grass, because I guarantee it will be full of burrs that you will have to remove after each walk! The weather here may be the area's best attraction. Temps were in the 60s every day with a brisk chilly sea breeze. Lot of morning fog, too, one of my favorite things about Northern Cal. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Have breakfast at the House of Omelettes.

NOTE: The highway running past the park is 101 North. Exit at 6th St. and immediately turn just past the Chevron gas station. If you're coming down 101 South, you will have to turn left at V Street followed by a quick left turn onto 101 NORTH. If going into town, stay away from 3rd street: lots of homeless, lots of crime.

Nice clean park. Nice laundry room. Awesome WiFi, they do ask that you don't download movies.

They are very accommodating to travelling workers. A little noisy along 101, but not terrible.

We were here for 5 days. Our neighbors seem to be living here. We had a problem with our camper door and had to slam it to make sure it would close. This became an issue because they seemed to be day sleepers. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ok for overnight. Easy to get around on interior roads. All sites paved and mostly level. Staff was courteous. Google maps is wrong - do not go down 7th street. Park can be accessed directly off HWY 101. As mentioned in other review lots of HWY 101 noise. Won't stay here again for that reason. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The camp ground is just a simple parking area off 101. Not bad but nothing special. Everything worked fine and the staff was nice. I was really late, called to get directions and they walked me thru how to get there step by step (after i had made a wrong turn onto a one way road). That help was worth its weight. The town has nothing in it except the old town by the water and the Carson mansion which is an old victorian home that is now a gentleman's club. All the mod cons like Starbucks and Napa and Wallmart but other than that not much else to see. I wish we had gone on to Trinidad - that place was beautiful. We drove up the 1 from San Francisco area and that was also a bit much. Should have done only part of the coast but live and learn. That last bit between Fort Bragg and Liggett was horrible. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Let me start off saying the staff was friendly. The laundry room was in need of a cleanup, and was not cleaned the entire week we were there. It has been a wet spring, so the grass was very high, and when they did cut it, they did a half ass job. The pads are plenty long, but a little too narrow. Sewer all the way at the end of the pad. ***Call the park for directions!!!! Google Maps will take you to the wrong way. The manager told us that somehow Google Maps moved them on their maps over ½ mile away on a road that will not take you to the park. Once here - the park is great. It is a little close to 101 but it was not a problem - It was pretty quiet. The park is very clean with concrete pads and grass between. They do have a lot of rules - but that helps keep the park nice - like they don't want you to store things under or around your RV and your hoses and cords need to be on the concrete. The pads are a little narrow so you need to position yourself close to one side so you can step out onto the concrete. There are a few "long term" RVs but they keep things pretty neat. The WiFi is REALLY GOOD. Verizon signal is strong. Their cable TV has many, many channels and comes in digital really well. We saw several satellite dishes out so that is probably good too since there aren't really any trees to block it. The management is nice and helpful. Ask them for a list of things to do in the area - they have a long list of great ideas. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Lost Coast Loop is very interesting and beautiful - HOWEVER - it is 75 miles of very, very, very, rough road and very narrow. It does take at least 4 hours to drive it with a minimal number of stops. 5 miles passed Petrolia is a county park that is a good place to stop for lunch. But seriously - the drive is quite challenging - take your time. Get gas at Costco on Wabash - lowest price

To say this is big rig friendly is a stretch. Entering between two stone pillars in our 45 foot motorhome without driving over the grass like several others have done is tough. What was worse was turning into our site. There was a wooden post near the rear of the site that we were inches away from, and that was after swinging 6 feet onto the grass and very close to our neighbor. This place was NOT designed with big rigs in mind. The other negatives are that the sewer hookups are all the way at the back of the sites. I needed over 20 feet of sewer hose to reach. The asphalt pads are so narrow that you are walking in the very tall, wet grass alongside your rig if you have slideouts. The cable tv is very poor. Super blurry picture on standard def and constant flickering in and out on the upper hi def channels, which are not even shown on the parks channel lineup. With a small trailer or motorhome, this place might be fine, but it really doesn't work for big rigs. Despite what appears to be a number of permanent residents, it is clean and reasonably quiet. We were towards the back of the park, so highway noise was not noticeable. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Old town has gorgeous architecture and a few good restaurants, but the homeless population is quite noticeable, which is distracting. The parks brochure says it's a 10 minute walk to old town, but that must be at a full jog. It's more like 20 at best. The Lost Coast Brewery is very popular and worth a visit for you beer fans.
