Not all sites are private ... we were a in a large area, 7 rigs backed in end to end in a semi circle, back ends almost touching. Fire pit was a short "can" and we did have a picnic table. Water pressure was good. They charged $2.00 per day for dogs ( we did not pick up because of this), kids were no charge, but they did use water, sewer, etc. We would stay here again but would insist on a "private" site. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We had reserved late and only had one "group area" site available. At check-in, the lady went out of her way to call people who hadn't arrived yet to see if they were still coming. As a result, we got to move to a nice, private site. We didn't use their wifi. Verizon signal was weak and spotty. They sell wood for campfires, and provide a pile of kindling for free pickings. Cable TV was excellent with lots of channels and a clear connection. $49/night is rate for 30amp. Add $5 for 50 amp. 10% discount for a week. Roads are asphalt and in great shape. There is an expansive grass area for sports, etc. Many of the sites are private with tall bushes separating the sites. Others are in a more open area suitable for groups. There are lots of trees. Our site, and many others I looked at, was level and without potholes. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Mendocino Botanical Gardens are a 10 minute walk from the cg. Walk along the ocean front to/from Glass Beach and MacKerricher State Park. Cowlick ice cream is to die for. Harvest Market is great for groceries.

Cash or check only! Beautiful older property with lovely landscaping around spacious sites. Our back-in was very deep & wide with tall hedges on either side. Wi-fi bandwidth is insufficient for the number of rigs and devices each rig carries but they have the maximum available in the area. Our AT&T signal was non-existent even though their is a tower near one corner of the campground. Had to go about 1/2 Mile towards Fort Bragg to download emails or make calls. Park is clean & quiet. We got a great signal on our satellite dish and they also offer cable. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Everything NW Pacific Coast has to offer with redwoods north, Lighthouses south and gorgeous coastal views. Lots of restaurants nearby and Mendocino Coastal Botanic Gardens are stunning. Roads can be narrow and twisty, turny so driving takes longer to get places. Driving a 45' coach with tow was heart stopping in spots!!

Very pretty woodland park setting. Immaculately cared for. Most spaces are level and surrounded by trees with ample room and privacy. If you stand under the cell antennas at the main bathrooms and laundry building you will get a bar of Verizon cellular signal -- not so much in the rest of the park. Cable is strong with about 50 channels. WiFi is non-existent. There is an impressive fish-cleaning area with shaded structure and equipment that looked impressive that we didn't use. They also have a well maintained pump out station for sites that lack sewers. This is the RV park to go to if you want a quiet, woodland place for adults to calmly stay within a very controlled environment. It does not have typical recreational facilities, like a pool, or kids playgrounds, which is actually a quiet benefit for a senior couple traveling. Nor does it have a dog area. The ladies who work at the desk are friendly and helpful. The first site we occupied included a wasp nest. When we brought it to the attention of the office, a grounds keeper attempted to just use an off the shelf aerosol can of wasp, hornet killer with little impact. One of the managers resprayed it and then covered it with dirt. After mentioning that the site was still engulfed with wasps, he explained that hundreds of wasps will still return for days. Not anything we wanted to be near. The front desk ladies changed us to another site, which lacked sewer but was tucked into the woods. Those who appeared to be owners or managers were less friendly and made me feel more like an imposition than a guest. However, the RV park is very lovely and beautifully cared for. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Skunk Train is fun, especially if you stay on the open-air car. It is dog-friendly and charge to bring your dog along for the ride. Service dogs ride for free. The Sea Valley Cafe has good food at fair prices, as do all the cafes we ate at. The Mendocino Candy Company has terrific treats. It's fudge is fabulous.

This is a clean, well maintained park! The sites were large and private with trees and bushes surrounding them. Plenty of space to park your vehicle. We used their laundry room as we were here a week. They also have a small store in the office. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is about a mile south of Fort Bragg which has many things to do. Beaches, movies, theater, music venues, restaurants and, of course, beaches and mountains. There is a large dog park in the city with an area for smaller dogs. Some dog friendly beaches are nearby. The village of Mendocino is 9 miles south of Fort Bragg.

This park gets 20 stars for beauty. It looks like a state park with many trees and sites nicely spaced with much foliage between them. It doesn't stop the noise though. They make no attempt to quiet down large parties. There's an extra fee for 50 amps, and they charge $7 per visitor per day. Unless the park is nearly empty, wifi is useless, and Verizon didn't work for us either. Beware the grumpy woman at the front desk! But definitely 20 stars for beauty! I would have given it a 1o except for their wifi did not work for us so we had to use hotspot and their trees were blocking the cell phone tower so we had no phone service. No picnic table. Also they charge you $4 extra dollars on top of the $49 for electric per day and $4 per day for sewer. SO our daily was $57 but you only get the Good Sams 10% on the $49. We stayed 2 days. It is up in a mountain and very pretty and spacious. We would have stayed another few days, maybe a week if it wasn't so expensive. There is no rec room, no pool or lake to swim. No horseshoes or any kind of activity or sport. We were next to an area that had sites with no sewer, no one was parked there but those sites were all grass, ours was mostly gravel with grassy sides. Seemed everyone wanted to walk their dogs in those sites, even though the rules say don't walk dogs in empty sites. Also said to clean up after dogs and no one was doing it, so we could not open our windows as the pee and poop was attracting bugs. Glad our dogs were happy enough to use the gravel roadway and we used doggie bags that we carry with us. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

They are right off of Rt 1 but hard to find. Their signs are real low into the grass on side of road. Better off looking for sign for street name, it is more obvious.

Park had 30 and 50 amp service, and water / sewer at all the RV sites. Also many tent sites, a meeting hall, large play area. No way to get satellite service here as there are a lot of trees. Cell phone service was very poor also (Verizon). They have Speed bumps, and not small ones, so be prepared for that. Quiet location, adequate space between sites. During prime summer/ fall season be sure to make a reservation.

Nice setting and it shows that they are working on improving or maintaining the park all the time however....

It appears they may have lost the drive/ desire/ strength to work with the public. Made reservations far in advance but when I arrived they had a hard time figuring out my reservation or spot I reserved. Saw them interact with other customers on the phone and during check in, and feel that they are just worn out with this business. I am sure that they have had many, many difficult customers, but they are now at the point where they view everyone with that thought. Negative signs on the walls and in the many rules. They need a break or some new blood in the front office.

Not on my favorites list, but would come back if in the area. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice level gravel sites. Very spacious. Almost all have foliage or tree dividers providing privacy between sites. Reservations are difficult because credit cards are not accepted. If I could have chosen my site I would have picked one near the back of the park away from the noise of the tractor which seems to run daily moving or hauling wood. There are nice sites for groups with tents and lots of kids, and I would also avoid a space close to them! We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Another of those parks where your opinion varies by the site you are assigned. Ours was nice but would have been less so if the rv and tent sites directly behind us been occupied. Some sites are very private, others are in the open. Staff was not particularly friendly. The park is clean and more campground like than the typical "little soldiers in a row" rv park. We had water and 50 Amp, they do have a dump station. Verizon was so so. It was convenient to what we wanted to see, our large rig fit well in the site and we would stay again. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

First and last time we'll ever stay here. After driving all day through rough roads, road construction, poor GPS routing and snaky Highway 20, we arrived right at sunset. Office closed, no arrival packet left as promised. While hooking up we encountered a padlock on 50amp breaker denying us access to 50amp....even though the reservation was for 50amp. We had to call the office person on call and have them come to the site and unlock the 50amp breaker. The massive amount of rules and potential charges would discourage any return visits. For example; early check-in fees, late check-out fees, $10 handling fee for cancellations made 10 days in advance (or 20 days for holidays), coin-operated showers and laundry, laundry only open 8AM to 8PM, etc. They accept only cash or check for payment and required a check be mailed in advance to confirm the reservation. No greeting, no small talk, no suggestions on sight-seeing, etc. Attitude of strictly business. Very woodsy with hedges and bushes between sights but they really need trimming. Where there is grass, it is high and unkempt. Dirt roads and sites with potholes and standing water. Rain would quickly turn this place into a pig sty. One of your few camping options near Fort Bragg....but you probably can't go wrong by driving right on past Pomo RV Park. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

We had a large site with privacy provided by greenery. The site has gravel and a fire pit is provided as well as a table. We used the laundry, very clean and well maintained. I looked into the restrooms and they were spotless as well as the showers. They are pay showers which is a little odd. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others and stay here again. Oh another bonus even though you are just off Hwy 1 it is as quiet as can be! We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

They do not take credit cards; cash or check only. Level, gravel & dirt campsites, privacy, lots of trees and shade. The owners keep the grounds in excellent condition. Full hook up, picnic table, with a fire pit. WiFi was good but slow. Cable TV had 50+ channels. Bathrooms and showers were clean, individual shower stalls with curtain and dressing area. Showers were 50-cents for 3-minutes. Very quiet at night. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash. We camped at Pomo RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
