Overall Rating:

Small park only about ten sites all full hookups. Walking distance to bluff overlooking the ocean. Glass beach is about a mile away. Most of the glass is gone because it was sold off by the city to a scrap dealer. Ocean rise has eroded the bluff in this area and is subject to collapse so be careful. Our rate was based on a four night special. We camped at Sportsman's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Glass Beach is an old city dump where for many years locals dumped garbage. The only thing left is the glass from thousands of broken bottles tossed by the surf into billions of tiny bits of glass prized by collectors for art work. Now. however, most of the glass has been hauled away, according to locals. There are some restaurants nearby as well as fast food.

Overall Rating:

A nice place to park your rig and sleep at night as close to the fishing boats as you can get!

It's a simple place, just some open ground with hookups, no landscaping, fairly tight spaces...not meant for hanging around all day.

One less obvious great thing about this park is the pier area that you get a key to. A large open wooden pier right at the entrance of the Noyo River. A great spot to cook and eat your food, fish, or boat watch. Chairs, benches and picnic tables and a gas barbecue. We camped at Sportsman's RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

Park is right at the mouth of the Noyo River. This is an older area of town, don't expect to see a lot of new buildings. The park offers first-timers a 4-night stay when you pay for 3-nights. Active military gets 3-nights free. Mostly-level, dirt & gravel, back-in sites, very close together. Full hook-ups, WiFi worked great, no cable TV or reception. Private patio-pier access, with tables and chairs, right next to the river. One bathroom-shower for the campground, get a key when you check in. Owner was friendly and informative, after-hours manager is in site #2. Quiet at night. I saw one portable fire pit, but no one had a campfire. Nothing for young kids here. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, an excellent one is Silver's at the Wharf. Very relaxing time, everyone in the park was nice. Dog Beach is about 2-blocks away. We camped at Sportsman's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Skunk-train has a 1-hour, non-stop trip along Pudding Creek, with an open-viewing car.

Overall Rating:

It is very small and spaces are tight, but it is one of the lowest price parks in the area, especially during tourist season. But, it is right on Noyo Bay in Fort Bragg. There is a dock there and they have three crab rings guests can use to try their hand at catching a crab. There are a few long-term tenants there who are very friendly.

Very close to restaurants, fishing trips, and the marina.

Active Duty military members get up to 3 nights free.

Wifi was very slow, in and out. Cell service was also spotty. We camped at Sportsman's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
