Great little park. Very Clean. Good park store. Close to neighbors, but there is a nice grass patch/strip with trees between. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are a lot of nice long pull thru sites in this campground. Sites are a little close together but grassy area in between. Only complaint would be road noise. You are nestled between 101 and a main highway. Nice area for exploring. Avenue of the Giants and Ferndale are very convenient. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent 9 lovely days here in a pull through campsite just near the office. I think we had one of the nicer campsites, but I made the reservation over 6 months in advance. We camped here with a group, so loved having the use of the recreation room where we hosted several social events. The office was wonderful with helping us set up and manage the event, even though we set off the burglary alarm one morning early! This is a real full-service park with nice cabins, tent camping area, and a full-service store that even sells beer. There are a lot of long-term campers here, but they are well-separated from everyone else. Yes, the campsites are very narrow, but with the Riverwalk right across the street there is plenty of outdoor opportunities. Shopping and restaurants are close by. We did not notice the noise from nearby Hwy 101, as the long-term folks are all camped along that boundary. We found the staff to be incredible here, and the facilities well-maintained with two small exceptions - showers are in need of renovation and the typical crummy RV park Wifi. Great laundry facilities. Oh, and there is a nice outdoor kitchen for the tent and cabin campers. I would definitely stay here again!! We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 3 nights in a pullthru full hookup site. Utilities good, did not try wifi. Cable worked well as we weren't able to get satellite due to trees in our site - check in packet did not come with a cable listing however. Site was a bit on the narrow side and we had to walk in the grass to get to an from our tow vehicle would probably not be a problem if it weren't raining. Quiet location even though it's located right off Highway 101. We would stay here again. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Avenue of the Giants, the north entrance to it is about 20 miles south of here. Ferndale is full of beautiful Victorians. Loleta Cheese Factory is another not to be missed spot. Eel RIver Brewery is literally right around the corner - Happy Hour is 3-6 with pints at $3.75. Pitchers are $12 all day Saturday and Sunday. Food is good with lots of daily specials.

Pull through was plenty big with space to accommodate our dolly trailer. We had a nice grass area for the dog and picnic table and flowers too. It was quiet and staff were pleasant. Their appeared to be many long-term campers/residents with families at the park. People mostly kept to themselves. A good place to get away and hide away. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here in 2007 and drove the Avenue of the Giants and since we were in the area, we wanted to do it again. The Avenue of the Giants is the largest stand of Giant Redwood trees on the world and it is nothing short of spectacular. This is a very nice RV park that has a large number of pull-thru sites so it's a great stop for a "Big Rig". The park has sure grown up since we were here 10 years ago. It looked good then and I think it's even nicer now. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are a little too close together, but there are trees and shrubs and grass between them to offset the closeness. Drive carefully through the park so as to avoid them! Propane was easy to fill. Access from 101 was a little congested at an intersection, but the overall location was good. We found our Verizon signal to be strong. The towns of Ferndale and Eureka are worth visiting. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautifully maintained. The sites are all closer together than any park we have ever been in. There would be no way to put out our chairs and feel comfortable sitting outside looking into someone else's rig. We are unable to extend our awning because of a big beautiful redwood tree (we didn't really need the stinking awning anyway!). Hwy 101 is so close that the road noise is quite loud. We considered moving to another site but after walking the park decided that it would not be that much of an improvement. On the plus side, the Web reservation was easy, check in was easy. Staff very helpful. Wifi and cable were both good. ATT cell service crappy as usual, even with their so-called wifi calling. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice stop off highway 101. We stayed here for 3 days. Check in was fast and efficient. Toads are best unhooked at check in. 3 Nice check in lanes to park. Our FHU's were good, placement good mid pad. Verizon and T-Mobile signals good. Park wifi was strong, but dropped out at times, but good overall and free. Sites are asphalt as are the interior roads. Sites are tight so drive slow navigating the interior roads. Sites are close together with grass in between. We had room to park the toad at the site, but had to unhook. We were in the first row, but did not notice any road noise. Not all sites are sat. friendly, so call ahead. Propane an easy drive up. There is a Shell station about 1/8 mile past the RV park for gassers and diesel, they have a dedicated RV pump. Would camp here again. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Motorhome.

Attractive park with paved roads and sites as well as lots of trees. The sites are long enough for our 38' fifth wheel and HDT but not our Jeep. The trees are lovely but many need to be limbed up and pruned back. Watch your roof and slides. We experienced power issues in our first two sites (same row) but were fine in the third. Our power management system would not allow power into the rig due to a faulty ground in the parks system. Others have had the same issue but most have not. The interior roads are pretty narrow and many folks violate the grassy area when leaving. The park is next to 101 and a busy street so there is road noise. Verizon phone and internet work well. With a little maintenance this would be a very nice park and although we would need to be choosy about our site because of trees and potential power issues, we would stay here again. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with some of the other reviewers, the bathrooms are not a 10 according to Good Sam. They are more like a 5. They are old, not very clean and in dire need of an upgrade. The park is just an OK park, worth the price. The sites are asphalt with a small piece of grass between sites. I would not stay there again. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of tenters and the bath/shower facilities were not cleaned enough considering the heavy use. Recycle bins were overfilled and not emptied. Sites not cleaned up after use. Outsiders can wander in. We were there three nights so we saw it to be consistently bad. The sites themselves were adequate. We camped at Riverwalk RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
